No matter a certain thing is difficult, if you have an interest and determination to know about it then it would become possible for you to understand it. Many people find bitcoin hard to understand specially because of the algorithm that surrounds bitcoin. They thought that numbers are really hard to learn and in result, they lose their interest to know more about cryptocurrency. However, if you have the eagerness to deep-dug the bitcoin there are many ways to know it.

In my experience, i read books related to bitcoin before and its whitepaper. I understood the fundamentals of bitcoin using youtube tutorial as well. If we always treat everything hard, then we won`t learn it at all.

With my experience learning it’s quite obvious that it’s a simple concept to understand if you take time learning about it and not rushing the process. We the community make it look like learning about bitcoin is a very hard thing to do and this discourage new users who would had picked interests in the currency. Sending and receiving bitcoin isn’t difficult but the other areas that are very hard to some extent.

Bitcoin is hard to understand for those who don't take an interest in it.
At first, I thought it would be hard but later I started taking interest in bitcoins.
I learn to use bitcoins from YouTube, Blogs, and some other websites.
You just need 3 steps to understand it. First, open a wallet, Second buy bitcoin, and move your all coin into your wallet, the third holds you bitcoin as long as you can.
The more you hold the coins the chances to take benefit.
That is the thing, everything is hard to understand if you are not willing to put any effort into trying and if you want to understand the technical elements that are needed to make bitcoin work then I will admit that bitcoin can be very complex, but if you are a regular user that just wants to buy some bitcoin and then use it or store it away then bitcoin is extremely simple and very easy to use and I do not see how it can be made even more simple.

I searched for a book on bitcoin in my hometown, and after several months of searching, no book was found.
I also think that making and publishing books about Bitcoin can help a lot of enthusiastic people in terms of its performance.
And I hope that people will work harder to advance and raise public awareness of Bitcoin.

Peoples fine it difficult to understand what is cryptoccurrency most especially bitcoin, but their interested over cryptoccurrency.
I just suggest that their should be a TEXT BOOK that will discuss about cryptoccurrency in order to educate people who are interested because referring them to online shows that know Manuel evidence of cryptoccurrency. And if their is any article that guide bitcoin.

There are institutes who train students on cryptography. For me I feel on needs to have passion for learning first. Because once there is hunger for knowledge u will find a way of acquiring that which you seek. Assuming we publish a book on bitcoin how many will have the zeal to study. I believe publishing a textbook is not what we need now. To me having people with zeal will prompt millions of publishers

Actually, cryptocurrency is really broad and it requires so much time before you understand it all, many people are still uneducated about what cryptocurrency is, there are also many people who don'tttt even try to understand it as well, bitcoin is very popular all over the world and there are many articles and website where we can understand the basics of cryptocurrency but there are still some people who don't know things about it because they are already contented about fiat currency and besides it is not taught in school days.

Yes it's hard to understand if you don't have someone to guide in you. If you have a friend know how to use bitcoin just ask a help and guide so you can know how to use bitcoin without someone's  help.

That's the thing, It's hard for people to get aboard the internet bandwagon, let alone start getting acquainted and using crypto. Concepts like blockchain, setting up wallets, nodes and even retrieving wallets sounds very technical especially from people coming from non-urban areas. But I think crypto is getting more simplified with each passing day. It won't be lomg now.

I don't think so. I was also a newbie and it was not so hard for me to understand Bitcoin. I strongly believe that it is the same for all. But there can be some rare cases and all of our brains are not the same. So it can be difficult for some people. But keep trying to understand will be better for those people who don't understand it.

In my opinion, it is not difficult to understand bitcoin, the things you should know about bitcoin are: decentralization, limited supply, pseudonymity, transactions cannot be replaced.  And you also have to understand the reasons for using bitcoin: saving costs and time, you are in control, privacy.  if you understand the points I mentioned, then you will be able to understand how bitcoin works.

I think you are just wasting your time in sophisticated times like now everything is on the internet, want to find out about bitcoin, you just have to open it on the internet, everything is clear there.

Bitcoin was made by an intelligent person and that means we need to level ourselves with that creator for us to understand it BUT developers created a way for Bitcoin to be understood easily. Further developments made Bitcoin usable by many people and it was really fruitful. Even though its hard to teach to some close minded people, some users who really are interested can learn it slowly and they will understand the whole Cryptocurrency Industry if they stay long enough.

Its also a good thing to ask friends and other users within the forum if you really want to learn, all you have to do is ask humbly because people learns more as they teach things they know. That is how I learned Bitcoin and Cryptocurrencies, I kept asking questions about it and as time passes by I can understand how things work. Bitcoin became simple and easy to use but you really have to go thru a process if you want to achieve that understanding.

For me, it's difficult to understand if we are including too-much technical information or detail to someone who isn't really tech-savvy (especially senior citizens). When I explained Bitcoin to my parents, it's pretty simple.

It's a digital asset like stocks without the presence of a central authority. I didn't even explain about blockchain to them, as they can only understand that Bitcoin is like investing in stocks.

There is no worried about any platform or project to understand. There is no place unsolved any type of problem in this world. So we should be learning much more knowledge about any project. Then we can get good earnings same as it's not create any difficulty to understand about bitcoin. I think so.

Well evaluating if bitcoin is difficult to understand or not depends on the criteria of judgment. Bitcoin is a digitized and decentralized currency and having that in mind, it’s is also important to know that some people especially people living in rural communities and sometimes old people don’t find the affair of the internet interesting enough. So to those categories of people the understanding of bitcoin would always be difficult for them.

Bitcoin is also technical as it’s requires some level of meticulousness and mistakes made during transaction would be at the user risk or detriment because of its anonymous nature. Bitcoin can be understood is several ways and it’s directly a function of the Individual level of curiosity to understand it. As for me it’s took me some months to understanding Cryptocurrency in general and I am still learning. The understanding of bitcoin isn’t just a day affair but a continuous one. There are many articles online about bitcoin and it’s founder.

Yes, agree with you.
Many people find it difficult to understand because bitcoin is not like other courses we study in higher institution where lecturer will lecture the students to make sure they understand the course before setting exam question. Before I came to understand what bitcoin is all about I did a lot of online research before I was getting it gradually.
With time and determination you will surely understand it and how you can use it to do business and make a good profit.

Maybe you are unique or have a "technical mind". It is good that you understand Bitcoin, but answer to yourself honestly, do you understand it generally or fully. Some people think, that they understand that blockchain is a transparent record book, and bitcoin is it circulating recourse, means they understand Bitcoin fully. Some think that Bitcoin is "buy low, sell high, get profit".

If you say, that you understand Bitcoin, then try to teach someone less educated and experienced about it. If you succeed, then you understand it, if not - you understand Bitcoin partly.

My impression is that mostly older people think bitcoin is difficult to understand, their problem is that they haven't read enough about cryptocurrencies, another problem is that they have never tried to use it either.

The best way to understand something is to start using it. Sure it might be harder right in the beginning, but after a while they'll get better understanding of how it works. Learning by doing is the way to go.

Maybe it is easy to say that you understand how really bitcoin works. But yes, when you try to explain to someone who has no idea about it, that's when you will be tested how in-depth your knowledge is. Because if you have the full grasp, you can relay it to layman's terms and not too technical. Because if you will explain it in technical aspect, they will not understand and you will find yourself that it is really hard to understand crypto for the beginners.

I think that Bitcoin is not an investment, and that OP is about other things! For example, the fact that bitcoin is a peer-to-peer payment system, information about which is stored in the public blockchain... Wink
