Reading is a bridge of knowledge to connect and your knowledge for a specific purpose, actually to understand bitcoin is actually easy, in this forum if you are diligent in reading very clearly about bitcoin or cryptoccurrency which in my opinion is easy to understand and learn well if serious.
and besides that you can also search anywhere to understand bitcoin or cryptocurrency that is trusted and easy for you to understand well.

For me, it's difficult to understand if we are including too-much technical information or detail to someone who isn't really tech-savvy (especially senior citizens). When I explained Bitcoin to my parents, it's pretty simple.

It's a digital asset like stocks without the presence of a central authority. I didn't even explain about blockchain to them, as they can only understand that Bitcoin is like investing in stocks.

I think that Bitcoin is not an investment, and that OP is about other things! For example, the fact that bitcoin is a peer-to-peer payment system, information about which is stored in the public blockchain... Wink

Yet many think that Bitcoin is an "internet money" or a Ponzi scheme. They do not go deep and are just zombified what TV say to them. Many on them still think that bank, as an institution, hold all the money physically in vault. From your "bitcoin is a peer-to-peer payment system" people will understand only "payment system". Too many people are still far from technologies...

P.S. if you try to explain what tokens are, how they are created, and how many there are of them, their brain will either explode or go to restart.

Bitcoin's puzzlement is relative and it depends on our patience to investigate. For someone who is fascinated by Bitcoin, they will find ways to understand Bitcoin to the very end. I find Bitcoin quite confusing for someone who does not have any knowledge of economics and technology. Bitcoin is a combination of economics and technology, just knowing one of the two fields above everything will be a lot easier.

I agree with you, if you really are interested with cryptocurrency lots of reading about it may also interest you. Bitcoin is not difficult to understand if your foundation of knowledge of it are all true. I am sure that there's already a textbook or even magazines that discusses what cryptocurrency like bitcoin is. It is more realible than some mis;eading sites in the internet. Though, bitcoin lives in the digital world so, the information provided in online world is more updated than what we have in print.

Hello George. Bitcoin is not difficult to understand. There are many sites out there that have articles that will help make it easier. However, check out this app (Know Bitcoin[ https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=capps.knowbitcoin ]). The app provides information for newbies who want to know about bitcoin. And if you consider it helpful. Please share it with others too.

Get a wallet and move some BTCs, here's mine: [12GZz7hegu8VCkJYHSuP3WTXg7LGXgL1vT]

There are many other cryptoprojects out there that are much worse to understand than Bitcoin. Take the defi projects for instance, not to mention all the ethereum tokens to name a few. Compared to those Bitcoin is fairly easy and straight forward to understand.

It's all relative, i'd say Bitcoin is actually quite easy to understand all in all.

Yes You are right I will advise that to be accomplished, if there is any textbook or any online platform that is specialized in teaching of bitcoin. So have those things done it. Bitcoin will be easy to understand, it will be something very common for everyone to participate on, people will like to purchase more of bitcoin because it easy for them, So this is a nice question, I will appreciate all this thing to be done

Basics of bitcoin as we use it is easy to understand.
However, keep also in mind that there are also more complex part of fully understanding bitcoin.
We may be talking about storing, mining, trading, hashing, security, and etc.
If you want to fully maximize the use of bitcoin, it's best to study and understand also it's complex but fundamental information for it.

There are easy parts but there are also difficult parts on undersranding bitcoin.

I agree. BTC in actual fact is probably the easiest crypto to understand and everything else after that is pretty much built on BTC. And in effect you need to get the pre-requisite which is BTC before you can even start talking about lightening network, altcoins and DEFi projects.

I find that people always find excuses not to learn because they believe it is hard to grasp the information but what's happening is that they're not interested and are not willing to learn as for them it is much easier to say I don't understand or I'll never understand. I think it is all down to attitude and mindset, as there are just so many different formats of resources to learn about cryptocurrency.

Bitcoin in all honesty is difficult to understand for those who have no open minds to learn it, common example of it are individuals who were scammed by investment institutions/ websites giving fixed rate interest from their capital and end up being a Ponzi Scheme or a scam. Because of their experience, they closed themselves in understanding and learning such new things thinking it will be just the same as what they went through. We cant blame them for that.

But when you are a person who have prior knowledge to financial markets especially Foreign Exchange (Forex), Stock Market (International or Local), etc you will be excited for sure to study it.

Is age a constraint? Maybe or maybe not. Remember John Mcafee is heck old but still in the cryptocurrency industry. Its not that he is a genius guy, but his interest in it. So overall, I can say that it really depends on the person's interest.

If someone asks me, whats the difference between Bitcoin and Ethereum?
Best analogy that I can say?

Bitcoin - a calculator
Ethereum - smartphone (with calculator inside)

The rest is history!

Yes, understanding Bitcoin is a bit difficult and complicated if we don't use to be in digital world and haven't heard about crypto currencies and the like. But, if we are really interested into something, like bitcoin, we will try our very best to learn and understand better. I think, its in the person itself how he understand it and how he will make it so complicated. For me, being just cool and absorbing all the information that I gather through all my research and constant reading here in the forum is a big help to understand gradually. It took a lot of time and different experiences along the way to make ourselves understand fully, I guess.

yes for me I don't believe Bitcoin in itself is difficult to understand. What is difficult is our notion of how finance, economics and society in itself works. It is hard to believe that something we have held so dear and near to us and established over the centuries (fiat currency) can be disrupted within the period of a single decade's worth of innovation, all scripted in code, delivered by someone we don't even know. That, right there - is what makes Bitcoin hard for the average mind to conceive.

Bitcoin is difficult for some people to understand because it is a complete disruption of the financial system as we know it.
It is a completely new way to transact and store value that no one living today was brought up on.

Peoples fine it difficult to understand what is cryptoccurrency most especially bitcoin, but their interested over cryptoccurrency.
I just suggest that their should be a TEXT BOOK that will discuss about cryptoccurrency in order to educate people who are interested because referring them to online shows that know Manuel evidence of cryptoccurrency. And if their is any article that guide bitcoin.
i think its a not hard to know about bitcoin. this is a modern era & we have modern Technology like goggle or youtube . so you can know about more to use this kind of platform.

There is a lot of information that references bitcoin at this time, all the things we want to find we can get directly from local news that already exists in your country and from the internet.

Of course this makes it easier for us to get to know bitcoin from basic to advanced, both from the concept being carried out and the system and developments that occur.

Individuals have to be get it bitcoin how they can utilize bitcoin appropriately, such as what the bitcoin wallet address, how they can send the satoshi to another wallet, and their wallet address can deliver or share to others, how to know when the exchange completed. You don't ought to know about the expense since it'll be robotized alter to current circumstances. Still, you'll be able learn it afterward once you as of now recognizable with the past experiences.
