Food prices doubled this year

In my country Bangladesh price of food growing every day even Evey hour.  Due to some political issues, corruption and instabilities of politics, poverty and nature clasters responsible for food price hikes.

Is there any solid reason for the hike in food prices? From what I can see, the national currency (Bangladeshi Taka) has remained stable (in terms of exchange rate) for the last few years. Also, Bangladesh produces most of it's food, as it is one of the leading producers of rice. So what is the reason for this price increase? And from what I have heard, Bangladesh is having a stable government, with the prime minister Sheikh Hasina in power since 2009. I thought that the situation was improving there.. looks like I was wrong.

The pandemic has a strong impact on people's lives, the pandemic not only affects health, threatens human life, but also affects all fields, including the agriculture industry,  we will probably face a global food crisis.  The crisis stems from the lack of availability of food supplies, when incomes are reduced, and the prices of food items increase.

The Pandemic has ravaged the economy of almost all nations of the world, which has in another way restrict people from going about their normal businesses such as agriculture to generate and provide food for the people.

Yes, this is another factor that leads to increase food price in the country as, the politicians uses slight medium to inflate the prices of things and implement such also.

We really need to be smart these days on how to survive these challenging times. If you can't buy food because of limited amount of budget, look for ways on how to earn additional income or how to save money. Even with small space, you can plant some vegetables that you can use for food. You don't need to buy anymore those vegies. Also, you can sell some of your items which are not really important and just cluttering your storage space. Don't lose hope in this situation, should be a challenge for you to get out from this pandemic as a stronger individual.

Due to the pandemic people have suffered alot, and governments should've stood on the side of the people. Very few countries did it well, whereas majority of the governments had worse planning and did salary cuts, job layoffs, rising the taxes. Governments always should have emergency funds to meet unexpected things. This too is a reason for the suffering and the rise in the price of food.

in my country food ingredients are still stable for the current condition. However, because of the rise of covid 19 and the increasing spike as a result, people are prohibited from working especially in the trade sector, they are told to close.. from here it is not expensive staples.. but crime is rampant because it is difficult to find money during an emergency .

It is not only the spread of the coronavirus pandemic and tough restrictive measures to combat it that are causing food prices to rise worldwide. This problem will inevitably continue to worsen as we witness rapid climate change on our planet, making agriculture a high-risk area. The impact of natural disasters is increasing, people from this lose a significant part of the harvest.
In addition, the population of our planet is increasing. Therefore, the problem of lack of food will only get worse over time. Humanity must work together to tackle this problem.

There is no significant price change, even all basic necessities are no different from the price before the covid pandemic. But for some food supplements and vitamins, the price goes up to 60% such as milk, vitamins, masks, hand sanitizers and other medical needs. Prices for rice, vegetables, meat, chicken and drinks remain normal as usual.

It is needed to add more sources of income. One source of income is no longer enough for growing families and for beating inflation. The governments should give some idea how to beat the inflation and it to the curriculum in schools first so when they grow up, they'll understand the reason for the increasing price of consumables, foods and daily needs.

It's horrible. The worst thing in such a situation is that the ordinary population suffers because of greed and the struggle for power of bastard officials.
What should ordinary people do at the same time? They sometimes have to become animals in order to survive and feed themselves and their families.

Politics are corrupt and officials will soon be punished by those who are living under their power, they may try to justify and create a flash of justice but when people suffer the consequences and can no longer withstand the economic pressures, they will band together to regain control, quite a few cases of high-ranking officials being handled and investigated by the many demonstrations and streets of the people, especially as these cases become larger, the international court will begin to criticize openly and will take action if other officials do not fix things soon.

Its a global problem that had been with us through ages.So I don't really mind nor stress myself on how this one would be solved out.

Don't get be too surprised with;

The biggest issue facing humanity IMO is uncontrolled population growth. The planet currently has 10x more humans than it can sustain. And the problem is exacerbated by the Semitic religions, which discourage family planning (the motto is "be fruitful and multiply"). The situation is already reaching a breaking point in many of the African nations, where the agricultural land is in short supply. The per capita availability of land is going down with every passing year, and this results in ethnic warfare and civil unrest.
