People are not ready to even use the vaccine not to talk of buying it. With time, the vaccine will be free or have low cost. Do not think that people will take from their bitcoin to buy the vaccine too, and if there is, it will be negligible compared to bitcoin marketcap. Do not reason the vaccine will have any effect at all, imo.

Why do you think that the corona virus vaccine will make bitcoin crash ?
While it does seem like a possibility that the people will start investing in stocks again to grab the opportunity to gain high profits when the economy recovers but that doesn't mean bitcoin will crash. The price might fall back a little because there are people who switched to bitcoin in the pandemic and they might return to stocks but more than that it is those people who hold and trade bitcoin from a long time. They won't panic sell their bitcoins and hence it is quite known that bitcoin will not crash but might dip a little. Besides that we have seen bigger crashes through the bitcoin history.

If a vaccine is effective enough then only it may happen but there is no guarantee. To date we do not have an effective cure for AIDS virus, the same will happen for COVID19 as the virus has been evolving in regular interval.

We don't know really what will happen when an effective vaccine will discover. Because during the pandemic we thought bitcoin would dump hugely. But it happened reverse trend, although it was dumped for a while, but overall bitcoin has shown a strong resistance. I fail to grasp the logic behind this line of thought. Bitcoin did not crash, but it suffered significantly when the lockdown was announced. Then the lockdown was slowly abolished for less strict policies and Bitcoin started recovering. If the reason behind the future crash is the US debt, then the pandemic is only making it worse and making the crash of the US economy more likely, whereas a vaccine could stop the negative economic effects of the pandemic and thus let the world avoid the US economy crashing. Moreover, if the US economy crashed, the USD would surely crash, but I'm not so sure about gold. Instead, people could quickly move their wealth into gold as a safe haven, and gold could go up. An even more unsure case is with Bitcoin. If people turn to BTC in the case of the fiat crash (which seems very likely to me), the price would go up. There are many dots that don't connect here.

The word "crash" makes it sound too apocalyptic. We'll definitely see a drop in price once the world goes back to normal thanks to a vaccine, mainly because ever since around feb/march when Covid19 began to spread worldwide traditional markets like the stock market have been in a nonstop upward movement (forming a bit of a "bubble" like the one in tech stocks), so that movement is bound to stop once covid is gone.

So, given the similar behaviour in the btc price charts with the stock market charts over the last 6 months, i think it's safe to assume that once traditional markets start to go down, btc will too, but the latter will recover in no time, as it always does...

What's the reasoning here? That the pandemic is behind Bitcoin recent growth, so vaccine would cause the opposite reaction? Or is he saying that if Bitcoin it tied to the US debt, will vaccine make the debt go away, or what? I don't think the recent market behavior supports that, we saw that recently Bitcoin was going hand-in-hand with all global markets, and the release of vaccine would be bullish news for them, although I doubt it would cause any huge reaction, because vaccine won't magically remove covid-19, this process will be long.

The reasoning itself is actually very unreasonable here since the vaccination won't hit the price of Bitcoins for sure.
Firstly I believe the person writing this article wants to reason that vaccination will improve the situation and thus  the person believes that people will start in cashing the bitcoins but I think you have to understand that even though the vaccination will be invented there are certain clinical trials that they will have to go through.
After the clinical trials will come implementation , even after that one needs booster dose every while , the virus is mutating therefore it's hard to stop it by just vaccination and the long term health effects of COVID-19 are yet to be discovered.

Even though it's all over bitcoins won't crash hard since pandemic is the cause of growth maybe in some parts , maybe 10% but rest people are using it and now know the practical implications of Bitcoin themselves.

I partially agree to this statement. In any way it's a speculation we all are doing here. My speculation says, if an effective COVID Vaccine is found then we will definitely see bitcoin's price going down. It will happen because a lot of people will start squaring off their position in bitcoin and probably will go back to the traditional market. because there is a huge chance that the economy will start recovering once a vaccine is found. Businesses will start gaining confidence that the buying habit of the mass will be slowly back to track and hence they will try to increase the production which will result more job and more money in-flowing into the economy. So the focus will temporary shift towards the mainstream economy.

But this will be temporary in nature. Because now institutional investors are showing big confidence in bitcoin so the market liquidity will remain high. I don't foresee any big trouble in crypto market even if a vaccine is found.

You read things on the internet and many so-called experts share their opinions, but in one moment you see a trend, everything points to one direction, you do the opposite and most likely you will make a profit! If everyone did what Sweden did we would not be in this problem at all, but I guess big players and pharmafia need to earn money also.

yeah completely agree with mk4 and others....bitcoin crashed with the stock market and recovered with the stock market. Perhaps there will be a dip as some of those who bought bitcoin will surely cash out and allocate their money on the reopening of businesses and some may even use their holdings as a capital for a new business to replace those who were shut down permanently by the pandemic. I wouldn't really call it a crash though, most would just probably move back to investing into companies that were hit by the crash last few months, then that should be it. There's still the incoming crash of the US dollar that I believe most investors would know, so leaving the safef havens of Bitcoin and others would probably prove detrimental in the long run. Jobs being restored doesn't really equate to being able to invest though? It'd probably take a few months for households to actually return to their standard expenditure, and to actually save up for investments. I don't see any correlation between the advent of the coronavirus vaccine and the subsequent fall in the price of bitcoin. A victory over the coronavirus pandemic should revive the global economy and give impetus to the further growth of the cryptocurrency market. Once the trials have been passed, all the experiments are done, and the WHO declaring it safe and secure, all the governments would come together and purchase that vaccine. A few days ago I saw a colleague's Twitter post about vaccines that have been used in China and now they no longer use mask protection because it has been successful, but I hope this information is correct and it will certainly be exciting for other countries.

I don't think is possible that approved of corona virus vaccines can enhanced Gold, Silver and bitcoin stability,because the finance for researching of the vaccines is government responsibility, so how would it affect bitcoin if it happened to be proved.

What I'm still trying to understand is why a possible cure to a disease that kept the whole worlds economy in lockdown to also cause a crash in the economy when the cure or prevention is been discovered. Without much thinking the possible outcome should be the world economy will start picking up since there won't be panic among the people to some extent knowing fully well the pandemic isn't as deadly as we presumed. This might just be my thoughts but I think bitcoin was affected massively, it dropped almost 50% or more and took down all altcoins with it. Although the market recoverd but it wasn't only the cryptocurrencies industry and also it leading the chart of recovering market had a  major boost from DeFi hype that made the market bullish again. Irrespective if this, if you observe carefully you can still see some fear in the market as the re-trace keep happening every now and then.

It makes more sense when save heaven assets like Gold are predicted to restand such scenario, the government are in debts obviously which result to bankruptcy, then the citizens turns to other realized assets like Gold to save their funds which creates more demand that pushes the price upward.

With that in mind, they need liquidity and turn their assets into cash. It will cause a crash once they liquidate their holdings for the buying of the vaccine.

1. I've read papers telling that vaccine is expected to be rather cheap. Under 20 EUR or maybe even under 10 EUR. And this is said by the farma companies.
This means that maybe it's expensive for governments, but not for individuals. Governments don't sell gold, they just print more paper.
2. Even if it'll be a "crash", it'll be a bear trap.
3. If the governments need even more money then the fiat will be diluted even more, so I expect gold, silver, bitcoin actually rise. Even the govts of the countries with stronger economies, if they want to get to strengthen their currency, they'll need time (good/stable/profitable working time) so I'm not worried of sudden crash.


Edit:  (I forgot to write) Most probably the vaccine will be flu-vaccine-like: you'll have to take one every now and then. I have more hopes in something like this than the currently developed vaccines.

Personally i am not agree with it. Because i think there is no connection with corona vaccine to crypto market. On the other hand i can think people are being familiar with BTC or crypto currency with this period of time and there will be more connectivity after vaccine come as much people make investment in this sector. I don't know about paid vaccines and their prices, but in Russia the Minister of Health spoke about compulsory vaccination for tourists, it will be free for them. Also, this vaccine is necessary for all people, and after the pandemic, many people lost their jobs or went bankrupt, and if the vaccine is very expensive, many people simply cannot afford it, what's the point? Honestly, I don't think a COVID-19 vaccine will cause a Bitcoin crash. Instead, it'll be the end of a repetitive hype cycle in the short term. Prices will go down for sure, but not to a point where Bitcoin becomes worthless. Perhaps, Bitcoin will be sitting between the $6k - $7k range after a vaccine is discovered. It could be a great buying opportunity to make some profit in the long term. Considering that precious metals like Gold and Silver will experience a decline in price as well, you could invest money on them to selling them during times of turmoil.

No matter what happens in the mainstream world, Bitcoin will be alive and running for many generations. It's already been proven to be quite resilient against external attacks. I agree, most likely there will be a fall, but not complete death. People in critical moments usually turn to more familiar and familiar tools, and therefore more reliable for them. That's along the lines of my thinking. I don't see BTC being much affected by the halt of the pandemic. The market isn't that neatly tided to that economy as most people who invested in this market are unlikely to want to take their money out to pour into investments outside of crypto. The vaccine could cause a bloodbath in Bitcoin's prices, but not to a point where Bitcoin will crash all the way to zero. Exactly. Bitcoin has already reached too far to go down the drain in an instant. The COVID-19 pandemic has only accelerated Bitcoin's adoption as we speak. This means higher prices over the long term as a result of higher demand among people in the mainstream world. Investing in bitcoin is a good idea as I myself is a crypto enthusiast so consider my opinion bias. What I can recommend is be smart, don't put your investment in one basket, that's good invest in your business, while you can also invest in bitcoin at the same time, that's how you minimize the risk.

An economic recovery will occur with or without the vaccine. Some of the worst affected regions may reach herd immunity by December this year. By the time vaccine is available, my calculation is that more than half of the world population will be having immunity against COVID 19. The governments will be in a tricky position on whether to go for the mass vaccination or not.

I do believe also that the development of the vaccine was the key not only for our self to fight the virus but this is the only key for the recoveries of worlds economic crisis. In the first place, it is not this pandemic that causes a good market price to bitcoin. IMO. people are instead, selling their Bitcoins for them to have funds to buy necessities. I can say, it will be impossible for Bitcoin to crash just because the Vaccine will be available, the reason behind this is because many huge companies now are transferring their savings/assets fund to Bitcoin because they are believing in it. The same thing in which normal investors and people will do thinking of the reason that these investors will make the price high in the future, will all follow it, resulting in an even better future for bitcoin solely because of its characteristic of scarcity.

Come to think that even if what situation we are in, we can still see that bitcoin is still standing strong and do able to retain on 10k above price and with that on the time of the peak of the pandemic situation.

Anyone checking the latest exchange rates? BTC is almost at 12K, and we had around 15% increase in the exchange rate during the past 3-4 days. It had nothing to do with any of the vaccine-related research. More interestingly, the Bitcoin dominance is about to hit the 60% mark after many weeks (right now it is at 59.8%). This is so dumb. What will vaccine solve? Nothing. Bitcoin is hedge against to indebted countries. I just saw a Minister of finance of my country tweeting that he plans deficit for 2022 to be about 15%. LOL.  So we will have huge deficit in 2020 because of covid ( less income from taxes and more spend to fix covid) Then we will have deficit in 2021, since there will not be vaccine for at least few months if not danger will be until late spring.  and now we will even have a 15% deficit in 2022. After COVID-19 spread the entire world there was less demand for Bitcoin because people were losing their jobs and had less money to spend, almost every industry was affected by this pandemic. Exactly. Bitcoin keeps going up in price regardless of events in the mainstream world. Vaccine or not, it seems that Bitcoin will experience increased demand over time. Thanks to COVID-19, people have become aware of crypto and Blockchain technology. They're starting to rely on Bitcoin as a store of value just like Gold. Eventually, Bitcoin will become the most valuable asset/commodity in the world. It might surpass Gold's market cap if it continues to experience high demand on the market. With COVID-19 tumbling the mainstream economy, Bitcoin has been proven to be resilient in times of need.

After a vaccine for COVID-19 is released to the public, Bitcoin's prices will continue to rise all the way to the moon or remain stagnant on the market. Yes, that's going to happen but I also see one reason why bitcoin did not crash during the current times is because we have big investors, it's not really that we have volume of investors, we have big investors who are putting big money that they can still survive despite of the pandemic, and since they are in control, this market would not dump unless they'll manipulate.

We had the block reward halving around 5 months ago. So ideally the exchange rates would have gone up, rather than crashing. But that never happened, probably as a result of the economic downturn brought by the COVID 19 pandemic. With the impact of the pandemic weaning off, we can expect the prices to move upwards in the coming months. On top of that we have good news, such as the PayPal adoption.

Robert Kiyosaki is one of my influencers but this time I do not believe to his statement that the bitcoin will crash if a certain vaccine will be found or create where it is really safe for humans like us. Free vaccine is something I am not entirely sure about. Covid is a deflationary effect, there is no positive from losing people in deaths and the avoidance and treatment of the virus was a great cost.   The reason BTC rose was the weaker currency base which again isnt a positive either but it does mean the nominal price is far easier to rise, speculation increases from easier debt load and also the ratio between the two standards favors the more stable supply of BTC.    
  I dont see  BTC crash predicted by Robert Kiyosaki because there isnt a large difference only a change in perception, we can come back 12 months from now and I anticipate we'll be in a similar place on the fundamentals but perceptions should have changed then and I hope we wont be facing unvaccinated population in the majority so we'll have an improving positive on that front at least.   The debt will collapse, which means debt default (deflationary) or the dollar value is reduced by a further 90% of value over 10 to 20 years maybe; that doesnt equate to BTC failing and the trading call I dont agree with.

There is no direct relationship between vaccines and bitcoin, it seems, we know that when the pandemic alone bitcoin remained stable and trading was quite high.
so this increase is because there are indeed many who are hunting for investment because they think that this year's halving will affect the price of bitcoin next year. and they are preparing, but I think there is still a long time to go down again and it must be admitted that now bitcoin has become a short-term investment.

This is an indication that crypto doesn't necessarily react to events in the mainstream world. Its decentralized and open source nature allows it to remain resilient and impervious against most situations that happen in the real world. For instance, crypto went down in price when COVID-19 took the world by storm during March 2020. But a few months later, everything started to go uphill. My guess is that the same will happen after the COVID-19 vaccine is distributed. The main reason why prices are going all the way to the moon is because of Bitcoin's third halving. Increased adoption from renowned companies had also a positive effect over crypto's prices on the market (consider PayPal's recent announcement of letting users buy/sell Bitcoin).

In the end, Bitcoin will survive regardless of what happens in the mainstream world. As far as I can tell, a vaccine will not crash Bitcoin's price. That's largely because of the way crypto/Blockchain tech is designed. Decentralization is what makes crypto stand strong regardless of negative events in the real world. COVID-19 did benefit crypto more than it benefited the stock market. Ever since the pandemic took the world by storm, demand for crypto has been on the rise. I doubt that a vaccine will cause a crash in Bitcoin's prices on the market. After the announcement of Pfizer and Moderna's new COVID-19 vaccine, prices have remained untouched on the market. We're now close to Bitcoin's latest ATH of $20k per coin, meaning that the best is yet to come.

yes, I strongly agree from what you said, that indeed with this pandemic, almost all affected countries will experience economic difficulties because of the pandemic. because there is no income into the state treasury because many companies have to stop production and there are no activities that can get income from taxes. Even if the vaccines have been out to the public still I don't think of any reason why it will have a big impact in crypto, is that because people will sell their holdings just to afford the vaccine? I don't even think that vaccines would be that expensive though. Couldn't agree more with you, mate. It's been shown time to time that most events in the mainstream world have little to no effects over Bitcoin's price. That's largely because of the decentralized and censorship-resistant nature of crypto/Blockchain tech. This is good because it tells us Bitcoin is truly sound money. A COVID-19 vaccine won't move the crypto market in a downward trend, as people continue to buy and "hodl" Bitcoin. The public already considers the pioneer cryptocurrency to be a store of value like Gold. Prices could go down at times, due to Bitcoin's volatile nature. It's been shown from time to time that Bitcoin is impervious to events in the mainstream world. The pandemic has benefitted the decentralized economy than all the other way around. The vaccine just gives us hope that the end of COVID-19 is near. Bitcoin seems to be largely unaffected by vaccine distributions, as prices are rising towards new ATHs (All-Time-Highs). More people are relying on Bitcoin as a sort of "hedge" against Fiat. As governments print more money to "help save the economy", Bitcoin's price will increase faster than you could ever imagine.
