THE MOST PAINFUL DAY IN MY BETTING CAREER

Sunday, 10th of November 2013 is a day I will never forget in hurry. I accumulated about 12 games which gave me a total of 67 odds. 10 games out of the 12 were concluded already, 1 game was cancelled due to poor weather, so I was waiting patiently for the outcome of the last game and it was a 5k bet. Should I say the funniest part or sorrowful part was that the last game I was waiting for was among the games with least odds on the ticket. The odd was about 1.27 because it was over 1.5 I played and it was the game of Man U vs Arsenal. This game was like a torn on my flesh because it seriously dashed my hope back then, it was since that day I started believing in the adage that says 'Do not count your chicks until they are hatched. Don't forget I said it was over 1.5  I played and for those of us who could remember the game, Van Persie scored around 27th minute assisted by Rooney. At that point I started calling people I was owing to forward their account numbers for me to settle my debts. And for those of us into gambling, we are all aware that paradventure if a game is cancelled or postponed in an accumulated bet, such game will be counted as void, this made the odd to reduce to 52 odds with 5k making it a total of 260k to be won. My brothers, I was waiting patiently for the second goal to be scored in the game because the first half ended 1:0.
When the game entered 80th minute, I started sweating profusely despite the fact I was the nearest person to the standing fan in the viewing centre, the plastic bottled coke I was drinking was tasting bitter, no be small thing ooo. I was very desperate to see the second goal scored either by Man U or Arsenal. It got to a stage, despite the fact I am Man U fan, I started praying for Arsenal to score whenever they took the ball to Man U box 18. My brothers, when money is involved, you will forget whether you are a fan of a particular club or not. When the final whistle was blown with the result 1:0, I felt like entering the ground. That Pain could have turned into happy tears if ever you won that 260k. Btw, are we talking about US dollars? Even a 5K lose to me would already weaken my legs. I'd like to share my most painful day too relating to gambling. I was playing KENO on Stake gambling platform and I was on automatic bets. I left for about half an hour and when I returned I have lost my $360 USD. $360 is already a huge sum in my country and it pains until now though this happened 2 years ago. I think it left a hole in my heart. (teary eyes)

This are the moments which always becomes the memories as it was so close and yet it ended being too far. Also, I have learned that if you placing the bets do it on the team you love rather than that of odds else it will ruin your time because your team who like may be doing well but if placed bets on other team you want them to win just because bets are placed on it and in such situation you do not enjoy either team winning.

Well by the Grace of God, I have seriously grown in the business, I haven't won 260k at a stretch but I have won more than that from bettings

That loss on that date was a blessing bin disguise then for you and you could be thankful it happened because if if not it isn't where you are right now. There are literally days when you feel you've lost it all but if you kept on that status of having just bad day you're really saying that there will be no more days or good days that will come.

The good thing is that it didn't make you feel stooping below the ground for long but it makes you feel you can do it again. I really like the character of yours man, the willingness to win and that willingness not to give up, kudos.

People always talk about bad luck when the last game of a big parlay loses, but in fact, it was super lucky to even get to that point - but I feel your pain I don't play such big parlays, but had good winnings taken away from me with late goals or some other crazy stuff. I am sure I also had a lot of things going my way, but you forget those ones more easily.

What I wonder with your story: If you make such good money with betting, why in the world do you owe money to people ?

And another question: Do you always play such big parlays (with what it looks like mainstream football leagues) ? Is this what you do all the time or was it just some fun bet (for 5k ) ? If no, what is your "normal" style of betting ?

Blessing in disguise, indeed. And this particular experience did not just gave you a heartbreaking experience but wisdom and a turning point to be more wise in gambling. It certainly presented you more opportunities and definitely made you a better gambler, I guess that is safe to say as you have mentioned that you have now gained more than 260k.

I think we all know these "crazy stuff" situations only too well. I remember once in the 90th minute I had already left the stadium, completely disappointed because my bet didn't work out and I didn't want to be stuck in traffic and then had to hear on the radio that "my" team scored 2 goals and I won my bet.

That's why people say that gambling is uncertain and lot of people have lose their hopes only because they did not win the bets they thought they were close to winning. Again as mentioned many times, you cannot predict perfectly and should always know that in case you lose, you have to accept it. There is no point regreting and remember the bet which was lost in 2013.

Without a doubt one of the most detailed gambling stories we have read in the forum and unfortunately one with a sad ending, however as people have sated those parlays are for the most part impossible to win and in many instances they are more difficult than just winning the lottery outright, so for the most part on my small experience betting on sports I just stick to one game and that is all since the odds of winning so many matches in a row are incredibly low.

So sad, could be the same as my gamble history doing "All-In Betting" when you need at least one successfully all in to get out. I love doing all in betting even with 1$, but my all-in betting need to bet with the whole balance for wining 5 consecutive wins. A few weeks ago successfully turn out 1$ to around 32$ with 4 bet x2 multiplier just need to one win again to turn out my balance 64$ and win the 5 bets and failed at all once.

The feels when you lose only need one last game always hurt it so much ~LOL.

You cant call it gambling or entertainment if you cant feel the thrill and i have experienced several similar moments on this one but not on parlays though but only on single line bets.

On where you do expect for such bet to win and the tense and thrill would become more greater as the time limit is running out.You would sweat cold and your hear is pumping fast.

I can say that we do have unforgettable moments when it comes to gambling and to think you had bet a big amount.We cant really tell that we do already won when

Regret is always a part of life, but then again if you'd won would you have started a thread where you announced a massive win?  Chances are you might have said you had a "big win" but probably wouldn't go into very much detail.  So, I guess what I'm wondering is how many big wins have you had Vs that one loss?

i know for sure, almost all of us who bet experienced the same what the OP described. whether we bet big or small amount, the emotions that we are putting on every bet is almost the same. looking forward whats gonna be the results. and if you really do bet a huge amount, you know you cant tell whats happening around you. just hoping that your team will win.
 sometimes we cant sleep if we have bets on the line. the very first thing that we check when we wake up. oh well, life of a gambler!
so if you dont want to regret, just use your extra funds so it will not hurt you when your game goes sideways.

Counting between Losing and Winning threads then we can really tell the difference when it comes to numbers on where majority of people do talk about on the losing side rather than telling or announcing
their big wins but for losses then we can commonly see these people do whine and mentioned on how much they have lost.

Im not that much interested on his winning though but pretty sure that there would be big wins considering on how much the amount he do bet basing off into this single situation that he had given.

We all know winnings are extremely precious for gamblers. There are lot of of gamblers out there that they got much of winnings that losses, but they still continue to gamble, they don't notice how much they already lost because sometimes they are also winning.
Gambling is gambling, look on what OP's experience, it's extremely awful. It's kinda "you only live once" gamble, extremely close and really obvious on winning, but then again, it ended so badly.
