How exactly you think Bitcoin should be introduced? As an instrument of getting profit or trading. Or as a transparent database? Or as anonymous way to make payment.

To answer your topic question: It probably needs to be introduced on related subjects/courses like investing and finance and computer science in general.
But what needs to be more emphasized in schools in my opinion, is internet security in general. Not only does it help with the security of future bitcoiners, but also with internet users in general. As we move more and more to the digital space, internet security just becomes more and more important.
And the school must give it to a teacher who knows what exactly Bitcoin and the whole Blockchain technology is, because if they will just randomly make it a subject and ask a professor who doesn't have any backgrounds on cryptocurrency, I think it's pretty useless. But if this will be teach in school, students will start ti decrease in my opinion since they are earning big already and they are not in school. Just like me (grins)

Bitcoin is great but I think Blockchain technology is better.
I was asked in a school about it and it is kind of embarrassing since they just asked me spot on about it. But what I am more surprised is that usually, people ask about Bitcoin and how they could earn from it but these people are asking about Blockchain technology and how they function. It is being introduced but in a way that they are not being pressured to know it. I was asked three times about it since they are telling me they just knew it is "the technology behind a digital coin" as they said it.

I do really think that it should also be introduced in schools, not only bitcoin but also blockchain and the whole cryptocurrency because it's part of the innovation that can be adopted in an economy. Just like what others said, this can be introduced in some related courses. For example, once the cryptocurrency becomes legal in a certain country, some businesses will adopt bitcoin and of course, finance-related courses should learn about this too. But it'll just take some time before we can see it being taught and added in the curriculum. How exactly you think Bitcoin should be introduced? As an instrument of getting profit or trading. Or as a transparent database? Or as anonymous way to make payment.
They can do any of that depending on what path the student is taking as long as it's related to their courses.

It is a very good idea that Bitcoin was introduced in the education sector, because in my opinion Bitcoin should be studied as early as possible. Because Bitcoin was the first to introduce blockchain technology, and it would be very useful if Bitcoin and blockchain technology could be studied by students. So it will make Bitcoin's growth even faster. After all, Bitcoin can make a boost to a country's economy.

Funny thing is.... by the time when the education system decides to add this to their curriculum, Bitcoin would have to be added to "History" subjects. Also, kids would be teaching teachers on the subject... because most of the kids are already using Crypto currencies to buy things online and also to do things that they cannot do with their parents credit cards. (Accessing Paid2View Porn or Online Gambling) Should it be added..... YES for sure... something as revolutionary and disruptive as this technology, should definitely be part of their curriculum.

Bitcoin is a new technology and an additional part of computer programming that has been able to create a revolution in the global economy. I am sure that in the coming years, Bitcoin can be a part of the discussions in many educational institutes. If bitcoin teaches in educational sectors many people will gonna benefits from it. Gaining another level of knowledge in order to know the new way of currencies in our world. it enables the next generations to understand the crypto world better and make solutions to the challenges that forthcoming.

Funny thing is.... by the time when the education system decides to add this to their curriculum, Bitcoin would have to be added to "History" subjects. Almost correct. It actually depends on the country and the teachers. In my case I remember that at the "Operating Systems" classes the teacher insisted more about long defunct things (punch cards' era) and at the end he said some quick words about Linux and MS DOS, while at another class we did Windows programming. In more evolved education systems Bitcoin is already getting in slowly (there was at least 1 teacher coming in here for advises). And boy, there are enough things to discuss / teach / learn on this subject, from the underlying blockchain (and cryptography) to finances (finite supply coins), trading (including patterns), legislation, ... As OP stated, most education systems may not be ready for this. But that won't take long. We are (still) in the information age after all, teachers can research easier for their classes and the newer generations will get more and more interested in this.

That is a nice question however bitcoin can be introduced as a digital currency with all its amazing benefits and can be to make autonomous transactions on the block chain technology.

Funny thing is.... by the time when the education system decides to add this to their curriculum, Bitcoin would have to be added to "History" subjects. Why not if they want, it should be on the field of commerce courses that under any field of, Economics, management, Finance, and banking system. That's what I have seen in the future educational curriculum that may apply. However, the government will still not all this I guess, because we know bitcoin is an unregulated digital currency and may harm the government in the worldwide banking system. But bitcoin concepts teaching are not quite popular because they were still studying this. Who knows time will come there will be a courses that related to crypto in the whole education sector.

Old school generations you say But I definitely agree on the fact that a lot of stress is involved in securing and procuring your private keys on the platform. But with the right words, things can be made easy for them. Well, that's the safest term I could come out with to describe them. Funnily enough, these security problems ain't only from the older folks. Even the younger internet-savvy people have been too comfortable with username:passwords accounts that there's a good chance that there's a good chance that even the younger folks will be leaving their funds in custodial exchanges; or something like saving their 12-24 word seed on a centralized server like on their email address or their phone's app.
You are right. Imagine the young ones already making those mistakes, think about how the elders are struggling to cope with such logic. They could avoid parking their funds on the exchange but then they might fall victim to an elaborate social engineering scam. Even I made a cardinal mistake of leaving mine on an exchange as I was lazy to bear the fees and the waiting time each time I wanted to transfer them, although thankfully the exchange wasn't hacked "yet" back then.

All these talk balls down to the fact that bitcoin economy has greatly improved due to communications and information over the years and why I was in school, I had no one to tell me about the crypto world but when I came across @Chris Barth https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2569032 Although I suspect you may very well know him he told me about the community especially the bounty section but my point is this students have no one to do this in their various schools and countries. And I will continue to support and promote bitcoin in any means I can. Feel free to drop your different perspectives and correct me where I'm wrong. Thank you! I believe that the answer is: of course, Bitcoin should be talked about in the education system. It should be introduced in schools on IT or Economics classes (and as far as I know, cryptocurrencies and Blockchain are already a part of the advised high school Economics curriculum in France). There should also be talks about Bitcoin in occasions where money is explained to children (so that they know there's a new kind of money). Moreover, professional courses should be offered at universities (and are already offered in some countries, including my own). Not to mention that since knowing Blockchain is one of the most scarce skills according to LinkedIn, there should be more places where a person could focus on Blockchain and cryptocurrencies specifically.

I definitely agree with the idea introducing Bitcoin on schools. But I think it shouldn't be limited to Bitcoin. Blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies in general should be introduced. More people should start getting to know about the industry. With the help of a nice education system, I believe that the industry will start developing faster than ever.

Yea.. I can definitely see that happening. A cryptography or an economics teacher introducing bitcoin as a sort of ponzi scheme experiment or probably just call it a straight-up scam lol. Expect to get a lot of similar opinions especially in the near to mid term future that having bitcoin in the educational sectors will probably just do damage and steer people off it. I don't think the phrases "any publicity is good publicity" fits that greatly in this case.

Good day guys, I'm here to discuss your different views and opinions if bitcoins should be infused into educational institutes. Although I personally think that if such action is taken, Bitcoin economy will expand and more traders will come into the crypto market with these few points: Bitcoins a completely decentralized digital currency built with the knowledge of its unidentified creator Satoshi Nakamoto, Roughly 12 years ago the knowledge of this currency was know to only a group of internet surfers but over the years as more individuals were told about this so did the bitcoin economy grow and the current market capitalization of the economy is estimated at about $117.81 billion. Businesses both big or small have decided to integrate the bitcoin platform into their activities. Thus making useful change within the bitcoin economy. The decentralized nature of bitcoin is made possible with the P2P protocol creating autonomous transactions which helps in attracting the attention of investors to itself. The payment system on the platform can allow users to avoid issues like double spending. Thank you! When it comes to educational sectors about bitcoin or putting it as one of a subject in schools is i think a nice idea in order to give students a knowledge and idea about cryptocurrency and also bitcoin. Bitcoin is already getting popular in a lot of countries and a lot of people could totally see it as a future currency, that is why i think we need to teach it to student as it might be the future technology, still i think their is no need for a whole subject for cryptocurrency or bitcoin, for me putting it as a topic or just having a few discussion about it just to give the basic knowledge of cryptocurrency and bitcoin to students is already enough. And then it is all depend to the students if they wanted to also learn the advance things about bitcoin or if they just want to buy and invest in cryptocurrency.

First we need to teach people about the economics in the school level itself, some part of the world is doing it but still no one doing it intensively that is why more people don't have awareness about the importance of investment not the money. And also if they are clear with economy then we can see more entrepreneurs compared to current ratio.

People need to be educated about the technology and not about bitcoin. When blockchain and it's advantages were taught in the schools, automatically people will get to know better and better about bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.
We haven't got a perfect pathway for cryptocurrency, that means everything isn't legit at present. When everything is streamlined to function perfectly bitcoin can be introduced to the education. Right now when bitcoin is taught, it means we're also educating about the rest of the cryptocurrencies.

If it will be that easy, I am pretty sure that those behind the bitcoin and developers are already in the process of making it into reality but right now they are facing too much hurdles where this kind of situation will likely to happen in the future but as of this moment there is a very less chance that bitcoin can be legally introduce to the educational sectors.
Even in the countries who fully accept bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, I still didn't hear that they already introduce bitcoin in their educational sectors.

yes as of now the chance is less to be accepted even at countries where btc is already legalized and the chance of btc getting accepted to non accepted countries are ofc zero .this is not easy , that is why people behind bitcoin are now working thru it . they understand those issues that has a conflict with bitcoin and they think of possible solutions to solve it . Even in the countries who fully accept bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, I still didn't hear that they already introduce bitcoin in their educational sectors.
that only means that your not updated because there is a thread here before that shows that there are now schools , universities or online class rooms that have a bitcoin/crypto as one of thier subhect and courses .
