Just recently we are beginning to have some Twitter campaign giving hunters reward in btc in the service section. This is one sure way to take off this muster that seem like a cancer called bounty scam.

In the Service section, we have a lot of campaigns that are paid in BTC, ETH or USDT. There we always make quite a lot of money but in return everything we make is of high quality. Those who want a stable salary will choose Serviec. For me, I still like to work for bounty campaigns. Although the majority are almost scams, if we are lucky, we will be rich on a project. (DIA is an example in 2020)

i think,Gift deception will never go away. As long as there is money to be made, people will always try to make as much as possible even by underhanded means. Nowadays people do it online more often. To be honest, I now see that quite a number of projects become a scam for making payments without going through escrow. things like scammer prevention have been recommended. However, choosing a bounty that has an escrow will be preferable.

If the bounty programs paid every week, there would be no more bounty scams. Paying at BTC or ETH is much better, there are many people of us who work only in the service section. Most people who work in the service section go to the bounty section very rarely. I think now a days launching any program  in the service section is more effective than the bounty section.

It wont go away, that is just wishful thinking. People will still join shady bounty campaigns regardless the obvious red flags. The bounty section is a wild west and anyone can open a campaign with fraudulent intentions, which is completely understandable. You just have to learn to live with it, its a part of the game, sometimes you win, sometimes you loose, bounty hunting is sort of a lottery.

Before joining the bounty campaign, I always study the project and if it has prospects of at least being non-fraudulent, then I work for it. There is no point in rushing into the first bounty campaign you encounter, because you can waste your time and effort.

And that would lessen your chance of being rekt.
Also, it is better to join those projects that are already listed in the market, if you can't join those btc paying campaigns.
However, it is hard to find those projects. Or you can join those that have weekly payments, at least it is credited in your account already.
But checking and evaluating the project would give you initial impression if the project is heading to be scam/crap or legit one.

Not only bounty scam is cancer for cryptocurrency, fake Twitter account is also part of it. New projects are doing it and also some hunters. I think only bear situations can recover from this cancer. Hunters can't take advantage of the decentralization, if BTC payment continuously increases. Rather my suggestion is for escrow service, bounty manager should agree to promote new projects.

The bounty campaign is only a marketing strategy to provide information to investors so that the developers of a project will get a lot of enthusiasts who want to support the project being developed because the more participants the bounty campaign is, the wider and the more people who know the project.

First of all, the number of active bounty campaigns have declined very significantly. Even those bounties which are active now no longer have senior members participating in them. Most of the participants are newbies and junior members. Unless the bounties are able to attract high ranking members, they will not be able to attract the investors in a big way. And despite this, they still refuse to listen to the bounty hunters. They want to go ahead with the exploitative terms and conditions.

For me, the only way to get rid of scammers is just to report them. Every project that claims promising and yet they only scam in the long run, should be ban and report all, so that the scam will slowly gone or we can say it will gradually go away. Most scam scenario in this forum is by promoting fraud airdrops and unpromising projects, so let's report them all so that they would be ban forever.

Bounty scam is not stopping anytime soon, the issue of buying fake social media followers has grown over years and almost 80% of hunters are already adapted to the system. Stopping bounty scammers won't be easy.

Scams were always part of the cryptocurrency market. Bounty scams happen as a result of lacking in development due to insufficient funds or improper planning. Scamming in the name of cryptocurrency is found globally, as there is no perfect framework. Bounty allocation with most projects were based on the circulation supply. Compared to the past the bounty scams have decreased a lot.

It is that obvious too I think it has. The scammers have really taken a lot of money and time from investors and hunters. But the good thing is as you have observed too. Hunters are tired of being scammed and are being careful. So they are selective which has really reduced rate of new scam bounties.

The irony is in the bounty section of the forum, the bounty hunters are hunted for having less skills and experience compared to old dogs. The good side the bounty hunter will gain an experience which will help him to be more selective as you mentioned. The cycle will turn and the scammed bounty hunter will look for his rights sooner or later. History repeats itself and this is true for scammed people vs scammers.

History indeed repeats itself. I think scam bounties will only lessen, but never go away because there are still people who will be a victim of a scam as long there are victims of these scam bounties, not only in bounties but in every kind of cybercrime in the crypto world. So we should not be ignorant and learn every type of illegal scheme that scammers used to avoid being a victim of these scams.

I'm not so sure bounty scam will just go away that easy, even after some member's here flag some bounty campaigns you will still find so many bounty hunters registering and completing several task, there was a flagged bounty I came across the hunter said and I quote "i don't care if they are scam or not, all I know is that they paid my 1usdt" so imagine if they still have this mindset, they will surely participate in any bounty be it scam or not,the only way this can be stopped is for bounty hunters to stop participating in sh*tty bounty campaigns, and I don't think that's ever gonna happen  Cheesy.

Yes, obviously Stopping bounty scammers will not be easy for anyone, because scammers also follow the times and times in crypto so that they can always take advantage of their opportunities through trends that are born every year.

As long as scamming brings money, it wont go away. The way investors, bounty hunters or just interested in the project people be scammed will evolve. See how things changed during years of bounty. First project simply perform exit scam after funds are collected. Later they start to simply not distributing rewards. Then they simply prolong campaigns or ask to pass KYC. Last 12-24 months they create rounds of campaigns or run lots of rounds of IEO. Now they add a DeFi prefix and do same from very beginning. Bounty scam is evolving and will never go away.

Scam bounty wont disappears these days since scammers are really existing in this industry. I don't think it could stop easily and when we look at those hype projects we observe there are many newly created projects. Our ways not to fall for these scam is always dyor and invest on what we can afford only.

There are two things here. First is that the number of ICOs have been on the decline, partly due to the low success rate in the recent times. Less ICOs mean less bounty campaigns. Secondly, as you pointed out a lot of users are no longer interested in participating in these bounties. They are fed up of all the scams and delayed payments. Only a few desperate ones, mostly consisting of new users now participate in these campaigns.

The numbers of participants including the investors not that much anymore, they ain't interested to become victimized again by those scammers who offered bounties but ain't paying or just chilling out and wasted their time.
Bounty hunters learned their  experienced that hard and now being wise doing research before starting over again to participate with any
offered bounties.
