Even thorough verification, they will still be scammed if the dev team decided to run away with their stash. The bounty scam will go away if there will be no more hunters that are willing to participate their program. I think that's the only way they will be stopped. If only participants will just join bitcoin-paying campaigns handled by reputable BMs here, then only serious projects will eventually make their campaigns here in the forum.

Now that the bounty hunters are being so vigilant in identifying a much legit bounties, it really lessen gradually the numbers of scam/fraud bountied which for us bounty hunter is a very good thing because at some point we can potential earn and get paid from all the hard work, effort and time that we gave for a certain bounty campaign. Obviously it won't go away because we can't control it. Scam projects are still created and have a bounty campaign, it's so bad that even people know it's a scam but still join and contribute work to those projects. The reward is safe yeah. But the worth/the value of the reward  is still questionable.

If the reward you get from bounty worth nothing once get listed in exchange, then that token is pretty much useless. I mean, having an escrow to escrow the funds is really good and make the project much more trusted but still it's back to the team about how do they manage the price to stay in good-range.

I think the emphasis is on the rules set by the manager. when all campaign managers can band together to only promote the projects they are researched and good at, there will be fewer con artists. so we can trust projects handled by the manager, not projects handled by his own team.

If we look at it basically, everyone will not like and agree with all the fraudsters in crypto, so if in the future there will be new developments that can curb all scammers, I think it is much better because with such a thing, the scammers will starts to diminish and those who intend to cheat again will think up to 10 times to do it.
