I would like to express my support for Dkbit98's application. He has been highly contributing member of our local Croatian board and has my full recommendation.

It seems to me that you are at the beginning of a very long journey but I'm glad that you have decided and taken the first step.
As you already know, you have the full support of your local community and I'm glad that you also received support from other forum members.
I believe that the question is not whether you will become a merit source but when you will become a merit source and we are waiting for an answer from the admin.

This is definitely a good thing if you are helping your local board to move forward. There are still many local boards where there is no one to take the initiative and the members of those local boards are lagging behind.  In this case, I think collective help is needed.

Regarding links instead of quotes: I think your version is correct, because it makes little sense to quote posts that are not in English. I think quoting in applications will be relevant only for English posts. The main thing is that the listed posts are really high quality.

In regards to your opinions you are making sense but the area I find difficult, which I know vividly that it will be difficult to implementes, is people quoting language's that their not use to, in that aspect what are we quoting a language that we fine difficult to comprehend for, because quoting it means that you have basic knowledge of the language or you can comprehend it slightly, so i have no seem atoms of profit for someone that do not understand language to quote it.
If I may ask, are we going to use translator to translate it first to enable people that is not used to the language to understand it before commenting.

I also give my unreserved support to this applicant. I know dkbit98 from the local subforum but I also believe that he is a very respected member in general. I am sure he will be agile and fair in rewarding valuable posts.

I started loosing hope a bit.. soon to hit 1 year waiting time, for real. Hope you have a better luck with this merit source application.
Lauda was a merit source If I'm not mistaken so I hope theymos will consider that there's one MS less and less distributed merits.

That probably means that theymos is happy with the current merit distribution on the forum and did not have a reason to promote new merit sources. I am sure there is more merit sources that have gone missing beside Lauda and our Regulus (from out Local) so it could be we will have some new sources soon.


Our Croatian local section could use one more source for sure. I don't remember when somebody got more than 1 merit in single transaction which shows how tight things are. I fully support dkbit98 nomination as well and hopefully he will be one of the new sources when the time finally comes. Best of luck mate.

Surprisingly, Lauda was not (or no longer) Merit Source.
But you can point out the absence of TMAN and chimk (which together represent a large number of merits).

I agree with you.
Generally,  I think that local boards needs more merit sources, people who understand local language and can read local posts.
I see that very good and constructive posts in English part of the forum always receive many merits but in local boards situation is different.
We definitely don't have enough merit sources in local areas and I hope that theymos understand it and will do something about it soon.

When you look at our activity, post quality and amount of merit shared, there is definitely room for at least one more merit source in our local board. Situation would be even worse if we are not so active in the English part of the forum, otherwise it would be  extremely hard to rank up by being mostly active in our local board.

September results were above average for our board (most of the time we are at the bottom end) while this month will probably be worse.

But you can point out the absence of TMAN and chimk (which together represent a large number of merits).

There is another big merit source that is AFK since May, bones261. According to @Coin-1 list of The most generous users giving merits he is at 7th spot (chimk at 5th and TMAN at 18th), and his absence is definitely felt at the Scam accusation board where he left big chunk of monthly allocation prior taking a break. Add on that one member from Turkish board that stopped being merit source at his own request, and there is a big gap compared to year ago. Let's just hope theymos sees it like that and he introduces new ones soon.

Lack of merits sent in Scam Accusation section is felt, and I can confirm that bones261 was a big help even in my case, as I received good amount of merits from him.

My Merit source application is still valid, and in case theymos approves it I would pay more attention and send more merits in Scam Accusation board.

I really wish you to become a merit source as soon as possible, you absolutely deserved it.
I particularly appreciate your contribution in the local board and in Scam Accusation board.
I hope theymos will soon promote new merit sources in this forum, it's right time now with some very good applications.

I wish too more merit source to be accepted to get a better chance in getting merit. The more merit source the merrier could it be because they can be a great help in spotting good posta which are relatively could be overlook with few merit source. Besides, not all merit source are always online if course they also need rest and the merit source designation is only an extra baggage for them in here getting free of payment to rewards and look for deserving posts to be merited.

I really appreciates your wish op, its a positive thinking to the forum that will enhance welcomed development to the community as well, because if more merit source increased today it will create multiple chance of people to earn merit, irrespective the total Numbers of people in the forum, it quickly render help to people to rank up,despite that merit is given based on creativity of the user and quality post via research that can yield values in the community.

As RikaFip predicted, last month we fell below 0.2 merit/post ratio, which again puts us in the lower part of the list of local boards.

Another merit source would significantly improve the bad statistics and bring a fairer distribution of merits for our local community. Therefore, I also support the dkbit98's application.

I guess that theymos waiting for the "right " time before declaring new merit sources.
When theymos concludes from the data that merit sources are needed on the forum, he will select new merit sources.

Personally, I believe that theymos already has information about your application in his notebook and that in the next wave of promotion of new merit sources and you will become a new merit source.
In our local part of the forum we definitely need at least 1 more merit source.
