I also wonder today when i look at the result from yesterday  Djokoviz lose his first set  . When all run normally it smells like a finial between Djokovic and Nadal  . I don't think tomorrow Schwarzman and Tsitsipas are string enough for Nadal and Djokovic.

Right, it's somewhat very un-Djokovic, losing the first set to Busta, I do hope that somewhat make a bet on Busta to at least win one set. But Djokovic regroup and didn't let that first set bother him and then outclassed his opponent and shows why he is the top seed. However, there are reports that Djokovic is injured his arm so this is something that we need to look at specially his next match against Tsitsipas.

The Greek freak of tennis won in straight set against Rublev, it looks like Rublev is exhausted and take is the key to Tsitsipas winning against him. So Djokovic and Tsitsipas will meet on the semi-finals.

Maybe he genuinely is nursing an injury, but I'm skeptical. He does have a past history on this. Whenever he is in trouble in a match, he has been known to suddenly start limping or rubbing his shoulder or calling on the trainer... but miraculously it doesn't seem to ever affect his play. I'm a UK fan, and I've seen him do this time and time again when playing Andy Murray over the years. It does become a bit of a 'boy who cried wolf' situation, so that if he does ever actually start carrying an injury, people won't believe him.

"Each time he is in trouble he usually does it, that means to say that he was in trouble, that he wasn't comfortable and that I was playing at a high level and was causing him to doubt himself," Carreno Busta told reporters in Spanish.
"Every time a match gets complicated he asks for medical assistance. He has been doing this for a long time. I already knew that. I knew it would happen at the US Open, I knew it would happen here and I know it will keep on happening.

Both Swiatek and Kenin played beautifully in todays game and it will nice if Iga Swiatek win in the final due to her age so we can have a young winner but I believe Kenin have the better chance to win this year women single French open.
We never can tell though.

Exciting day today with the semi-finals, I'm curious whether and how many sets Nadal and Djokovic will deliver today. Good to see that the semi finals not to late, the temperatures are already getting a bit colder in the evening, which is not really beneficial for the players.

i would not want to be his advocate, but there are treatments that could sustain pain for an amount of time, and he is trying to play his best in the meantime and finish the job earlier, that way all cylinders out

Nadal already won set 1 of the match. I am sure he will win as a revenge after Schwartzman won last match against him in Romania. It was the only match Schwartzman won against Nadal since 2013.
The match between Djokovic and Tsitsipas is the most interesting imo. According to stastics, they have equal chances.
About temperatures, Djokovic and Tsitsipas will have to play in colder time but i don't think this will infect their capacities .

It good you know you cant be his advocate in this subject but I think he's not using his physical struggles as strategy and base on what I read about him he was said to be terrible allergies since when he was kid and sometime he would lie in bed and feel like he was suffocating in his bed. I believe he was suffering from a mild version of asthma which was said to get worse but his love for tennis is what keep him going.

I was not aware of the long lasting health issues of Novak Djokovic and i am watching the match i thought it would be an easy match for Novak Djokovic but Stefanos Tsitsipas surprised me by coming back strong after Djokovic was on match point in the third set and then come back to win that set and then winning the 4th set as well and the first game of the fifth set and if Stefanos Tsitsipas wins it would be a great comeback against one of the best players but i am still rooting for Novak Djokovic to win the match.

I stopped watching the match and magically Novak Djokovic won the rest of the games. I have to watch what happened because when i was watching Djokovic was struggling with the backhand return of Stefanos.

I was not aware of the long lasting health issues of Novak Djokovic and i am watching the match i thought it would be an easy match for Novak Djokovic but Stefanos Tsitsipas surprised me by coming back strong after Djokovic was on match point in the third set and then come back to win that set and then winning the 4th set as well and the first game of the fifth set and if Stefanos Tsitsipas wins it would be a great comeback against one of the best players but i am still rooting for Novak Djokovic to win the match.

• Djokovic is undefeated in 2020, winning 37 matches (ignoring the US disqualification), whereas Nadal has lost a few times this year.
• Nadal has lost only twice in fifteen years at the French... but one of those losses, in 2015, was in straight sets to Djokovic.
• ... But this was a rare off-year for Nadal; he was only seeded sixth.
• The overall record in head-to-heads at the French is 6-1 to Nadal, but they haven't met here since that 2015 match.

Which is the crucial factor here? It could of course go either way. I have favoured Nadal throughout the tournament, but now I'm torn.

@Cnut237 these are very helpful stats but I had made up my mind before these two even reached the finals, that I’ll be favouring Nadal only to win this cup, and now I’m hoping that he can win it against his greatest opponent. However Djokovic does have some advantage too as the balls used are heavy and these balls favour Djokovic more than they favour Nadal, but I’m yet hoping that Nadal will win this game, because I’ll be totally disappointed if he loses.

I think this is what' important, at least for me, we thought that Schwartzman will be a big test for Nadal. But as the way thing turns out, Nadal didn't give any breathing room to Schwartzman and won in straight sets continuing his massive game of not dropping a set.

It could be that Djokovic could give Nadal his first set lost, but it doesn't matter as long as Nadal won in the end. Also Djokovic defeated Stepanos in five sets, so it must have been taken it's toll on his body, while Nadal will be fresh as he disposes Schwartzman in 3 sets. Another concern is Djokovic supposedly injury, so it's also a big concern.[/list]

55% overall. But the odds are likely to be heavily on Nadals side on a clay court. Nadal is the king of clay court. Most of his Grand Slam wins is French Open.

Well well... Nadal beats Schwartzman in straight sets  to reach the final. Djokovic beats Tsitsipas in 5 sets to reach the final. Nadal vs Djokovic is the final tomorrow.

As for Swiatek beating Kenin today, well done to her for winning her first Grand Slam. Kenin was injured so wishing her a speedy recovery.
