Hello bitcoin talkers!

I am a gambling fan who has almost tried all the gambling websites that exists. I love trying strategies, playing with numbers, studying probabilities and coding my strategies projections with R  Grin Tongue Roll Eyes
When I start an autobet in different websites, I mentioned that the temperature of my PC is HIGH  Shocked
I checked the system monitor and I found this! (I am using Ubuntu)
https://i.imgur.com/8AXGw3A.png
If you try to end one of them, the webpage will crash.

Websites that I tried for this experiment:
- Luckyfish.io
- Wolf.bet

Do you think that they are using our computers of CPU mining?

I think their site is just like some 3D web games that are using some high-end graphics and when your PC is not really updated or old, you will face some problems such as this one. I don't think it's possible to use our system for mining cause we will know every time we exit their website our system will back to normal. Also, they might just be using some programs that have some lots of bugs that cause such a problem. either way, let's wait for the other opinion maybe they know the truth behind those slow performance every time you used their site.

Wait, can you explain more details about autobet? Because I just think that you use software to play gambling such as bots or applications that help you run automated. If that so, perhaps, that is why the temperature on your PC is high because, as far as I know, the software will load the component inside the bot to run automatically.

But I don't think the gambling website will use our PC to mining cryptocurrency, although that can be possible if you download something from the site to run the games. There are possibilities to see that things happen in PC, but unfortunately, we don't know why. Perhaps, you can restart your PC and only use a browser which doesn't consume many memories.

Edit:

So you don't use the autobet to play the game. Hm, that is strange because so far, I don't have the same experience as you. Did you check everything on your PC and make sure all of your software is up to date? What is the result if you don't use the autobet? Did the temperature is getting high too? If it's not getting high, perhaps, you can use manual bet to prevent the high temperature.

I don't think that it's coming from the autobet feature of the website or casino where you are playing. There must be some other apps that you haven't noticed you downloaded and runs a miner into your PC.

I've met one of those miner when I did an entire cleanup to my PC and I've found it on my downloads folder. Take note that I'm not running the app and I've never launched it but it has consumed a space of my PC.

Try to do a cleanup with most of your downloads or apps you have installed.

I am sure that "Web Content" process (in the picture) is linked to the website. When I end it, the tab crash.
If this process is not for mining, maybe the autobet feature is a CPU consumer.
When I am not using autobet, it consumes less CPU.

Weeks ago, I downloaded minergate and it was CPU super consumer. I deleted it and as I said the "Web Content" process is related to the website.

'Related' doesn't mean it is.
This is serious accusation to the well known site like wolfbet, you better have a strong valid proof instead speculative one.

Mind to check your computer temperature at the ilde position? How much it shows and compare it to when you running those autobets ? Do it multiple times and you might can be more sure with what you accused.
I'm not denying there's a cpu mining attempt, there's a lot of suspicious websites that using its visitors to mine through their cpu but this one just lack of evidence.

Drop your idle temps and any type of processes running during your test. What were you also auto gambling in with? Also are you sure that's temp and not usage? As far as I know, that's usage just based on how numbers are made. Not really familiar with Ubuntu so I can't really judge it fully though. Plus, it'd probably be a lot better to provide a better screenshot, one that probably provides the entire list of processes used when you're only using said gambling casinos. I tried it out myself with dice, no issues, HWinfo still provides the same idle temps and same CPU usage when I'm just doing normal stuff (aka not opening stuff that can stress out my CPU or anything).

he has a proof in his screenshot , i view the image and theres a name mining but the site wolfbet is also a popular gambling website and there is no simillar accuse like this reported on the past except from this  but what if we can also run a test and update on this thread later .  lets see if we can also see whats seen on his screenshot . my pc is already hot and the temperature can also gets hotter depending on the weather and on the site that you use or the actions that you do . temperature isnt a big deal but only the mining

I'm not sure with this one but since the computer is still running, I think this can add to your cost. Better to try if you bet normally for 1 hr continuously compare on using the auto bet function of the specific crypto gambling site and I'm sure you'll get the answer that you want. You also have to observe what other apps that is running on your pc, and check your CPU if they are still in a good condition.

TO BE CLEAR AND HONEST

I am a big fan of the wolf.bet website and I created this thread to share my experience with it.
Experts can test and tell us if this CPU consumer process is due to mining or to the autobet feature it self (bugs, not well-coded ...).

PLEASE RE-READ THE THREAD: I am asking a question and I am not accusing any website.

Have you tried the same process with your browser? like clearing cache or do you have extensions installed on your browser? if you try to off the autobet feature for those casinos and gamble, have you checked if the same thing comes out when you do it?

The browser Maxthon was rumored to run a mining program in the background while their browser was open years before this announcement was made.
I don't know about Maxthon but is this browser used in Ubuntu OS? is this the browser you use guufullme?

That is a bug from the auto bet feature you've used. Can you tell us what is the name of the auto bet you've used?

Ther are possible happen that the cause of your CPU becomes heat is, heavy loads memory, airflow issues, and system cooling failure. You should clean your PC regularly because if you are talking CPU mining it seems impossible to happen to me.

Actually, that is normal to the CPU that will heat, that was designed to run a high temperature. If you have doubt on the auto bet you have used or installed in your PC, you can uninstall them to have free space in your PCU's memory.

No, OP is running Firefox, Web Content is a Firefox process and is not linked to any website you have opened in a tab, it is the rendering process that transforms HTML and CSS into computer graphics and it also runs the Javascipt engine. For performance reasons there is usually one Web Content process running on each core. That's why a bunch of tabs crash if you kill it.

In short, there is nothing wrong with your computer OP, there is no mining software ruinning on it and you don't need to reinstall anything, it's just that the casino websites are built with heavyweight Javascipt that uses a lot of CPU power when you use them, also the way how some casino designs look attractive.

Even having Discord open makes the Web Content process use a lot of CPU but I know Discord is not running a crypto miner.

Do you think that they are using our computers of CPU mining?

Not really sure if they are using CPU mining, but I want everybody to read this, Top sites infiltrated with credit card skimmers and crypto miners.

For the two sites you mentioned, perhaps it has something to do with your autobet.

There was one crash game that I played many months ago that also affected the performance of my CPU and my laptop was getting hot. I call their attention, but nothing come out of the investigation. So I completely stay away from that game and my machine comes to normal again. I've played with wolf.bet before but not really sure if I experience any CPU draining.

Are you serious about this:

I am a gambling fan who has almost tried all the gambling websites that exists.

You really tried almost all gambling sites that exist?  Specifically what "gambling" sites are you referring to, crypto-based betting sites, non-crypto betting sites or sites that allow specifically gambling(which could be both crypto and non-crypto based)
Do you have to leave you computer on to autobet or is this just a short autobet?

Hello bitcoin talkers!

I am a gambling fan who has almost tried all the gambling websites that exists. I love trying strategies, playing with numbers, studying probabilities and coding my strategies projections with R  Grin Tongue Roll Eyes
When I start an autobet in different websites, I mentioned that the temperature of my PC is HIGH  Shocked
I checked the system monitor and I found this! (I am using Ubuntu)

If you try to end one of them, the webpage will crash.

Websites that I tried for this experiment:
- Luckyfish.io
- Wolf.bet

Do you think that they are using our computers of CPU mining?

Your website is affected by a malware. I hope you don't use any browser based wallets because then you are at risk of loosing money. But there's an easy way to remove this malware.

Just download Emsisoft malware protection tool which comes with a free trial period. Scan you pc and remove this malware. That should solve this issue!

For Firefox there are already known bugs that cause this behavior (main thread and web content with high CPU usage). Here is a bug report on the Mozilla website.

I don't know which browser you are using (if you have already mentioned it then I have overlooked it), but you could try to start the site with a different browser to see if this problem still exists?
