in my opinion though it would be much better if the random variables came from the coin or bitcoin itself, not because it's more consistent or p2p or whatever but because you could bet and get the result instantly (not after 4 minutes).

in general, this could be huge. the most pure form of gambling there is, people could test their "100% failsafe"-roulette strategies etc^^

I have a few quick updates:

  • If you burn using multiple input addresses, the CHA will be credited to the first input address. This is a change from what used to be the case. The instructions for burning using Blockchain.info are now simpler.
  • The home page has been updated. It now features a graph of BTC burned into CHA and a screenshot of the wallet software.
  • The wallet software has a working DEX (decentralized exchange) GUI.

Shall we have to test the Chancecoin on testnet before go play on the real mainnet?
To find some bugs and fix them before play with real money.

...
How are you going to get the Quick Draw numbers in the protocol? Hard-code a URL into chancecoind?

Not only that, wouldn't you need a feed to lock the drawings into the protocol or the timings can easily be skewed depending on parsing times?

If that's the case, it can just be Counterparty with a feed for the drawings and a small % going to the feed operator for the incentive.

Magician or Venetian please explain this:

Casino information

House edge: 2.0%
Maximum win: 1.0% of bankroll

Explain in detail the incentive or roi draw because its not really clear.

Does this mean that every chancecoin burner will share 1 % of every house take forever? please explain, this is the most important part of your proposal but it is not clear to me. Excuse the ignorance. Thanks

My Bruce Wayne senses are tingling here. My powers of deduction lead me to believe Magician and Venetian are PhantomPhreak and xnova alts. Very smart asking yourself questions there as a diversionary tactic. Keep up the great work guys. I'm a huge fan. Decentralize everything. If I'm wrong, then this must be the 100th Monkey Effect occurring before our eyes.

This would pull focus away from what Counterparty which is not something Phantom or X would do. Counterparty is already a big enough project, I'm sure.

Can send BTC with online wallet, like blockchain.info ?

To burn using a Blockchain.info wallet, do the following:

  • Log in to your wallet.
  • Click "Send Money."
  • Choose "Custom" under "Transaction Type."
  • Choose a single "From" address. This is the address to which CHA will be credited.
  • Enter 1ChancecoinXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXZELUFD for the "To" address.
  • Enter the amount of BTC you want to burn.
  • Use 0.0001 for the "Miner's Fee."
  • Choose any "Change Address" as needed.
  • Click "Review Payment" and then send the payment.

Thanks.
Another question:
After burning with blockchain.info, the CHA will be sent to burning acc.
Then I can send CHA to anyone just with blockchain.info wallet or need to install lot of softwares and use cmd command to send them like XCP ?
TKS.

I don't think you can see your CHA balances now, because the command client chancecoind is not good to use right now. I reported the error early yesterday, it seems that the dev team do not have time to fix it. They are busy writing documents IMO.

Code:
C:\chancecoin>chancecoind.py server

can i send btc from multibit wallet?

after i send btc, when and how i can get the chance coin?

thank you very much!

You can indeed burn BTC into CHA using Multibit. BUT you must be careful that you are sending BTC from a single address (otherwise Chancecoin won't know which address to send CHA to). The best thing to do is send BTC to the burn address using a wallet that only has a single address. To check that you only have a single address, click on "Request" and verify that under "Your receiving addresses," you only have one address listed. If you have more than one, you should create a new wallet (File -> New Wallet), send some BTC to the new wallet, and then send BTC from the new wallet to 1ChancecoinXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXZELUFD. Hope that helps. Alternatively, you can always send BTC to a Blockchain.info wallet and follow the instructions I just posted for burning from Blockchain.info.

After you send BTC, you can see your Chancecoin using the Chancecoin wallet software. You can either install this from source, or run a pre-compiled binary. We currently have a pre-compiled binary available for OS X Mavericks, and we will have a Windows binary out soon. The wallet software has a function you can use to check the balance associated with your address.
But I used the multibit to send btc, then, I can't open the chancecoin wallet software .
It said that  Please make sure you have bitcoind or Bitcoin-QT running and that your config file is set correctly at C......
I have not install the bitcoind, I install the multibit. Does it mean that I can't use the chancecoin wallet software because I don't install the bitcoin-qt?
