The information here is updated: http://chancecoin.com/balances
I think the devs should add a red disclaimer that the burn period is over.
good luck to all the investors.

Wow, some big numbers. Nothing demonstrates faith in a concept quite like holding a lighter to your money.

Still, I do wish the devs would reply to my questions about Bitcoin miners gaming the system.

It is a good ROI but cheap in fact :

Chancecoin is linked to a real (and bankable) business. You are bankrolling the house by owning Chancecoin. You can't theorically lose money by owning them, and you can play with Chancecoin when you want. Chancecoin is a share and a coin.

I don't know the current volume of Satoshidice, but It was sold 12 M$ a year ago.
The current CHA value is only 220 000 $...
With 514 000 coins, each CHANCECOIN should be 23$ worth at least. It can easily outperform satoshidice and other competitors.

If you have further numbers, please correct !

I am also a stakeholder and think, well implemented this has its place in crypto.

Finding a price after the burn is complicated and interesting. A parameter used on counterparty/xcp was the amount of coins burned on the last day. Following this an estimation of the willingness to burn for lower price was assumed. In that case it was assumed that people would be willing to burn for a rate of 1btc/100 xcp. CHA was also most and even more concentrated burned on the last day, so we can definetely take a rate <1btc/1000 cha.
We can also follow the idea that these coins are at the same time stakes, which should also have a positive influence on the price. Due to CHAs design it has a REAL interest rate, which is theoretically given by the service the protocol offers.

I did the math and thats why I invested.
CHANCECOIN value will be decided by the market based on future progress of the project.

It is most logical to base your price calculations on market cap in BTC.
http://coinmarketcap.com/#BTC
Minimum Chancecoin Market Cap: Right under Counterparty at 8000 BTC
8000 BTC / 514829 CHA = .0155 BTC/CHA
Maximum Chancecoin Market Cap: Equal to Blackcoin
20000 BTC / 514829 CHA = .0389 BTC/CHA
My offer of .02 BTC/CHA is a fair offer that falls within the .0155-.0389 BTC/CHA range.
WTS 40,000 CHA

Please do NOT talk about buying/selling here. Create an other thread dedicated to it and post the link.

I still have the same problem: wallet starts without error, btc-qt is running an up to date, but when I click on "open wallet" or "casino" nothing happens.

any suggestions?
have the same question.How to burn from CHA wallet?
I am using windows xp ,bitcoin-qt 0.9.1,chancecoin wallet 1.5
after doing this the problem solved:

check the setting of bitcoin.conf(C:\Users\(your user name)\AppData\Roaming\Bitcoin)
and chancecoin.conf(C:\Users\XXX(your user name)\AppData\Roaming\Chancecoin\chancecoin)
the "rpcuser"and"rpcpassword"of both .conf should be the same.
in my case
bitcoin.conf:
rpcuser=rpc
rpcpassword=rpcpw1234
server=1
daemon=1
txindex=1

chancecoin.conf
[Default]
bitcoind-rpc-connect=127.0.0.1
bitcoind-rpc-port=8332
bitcoind-rpc-user=rpc
bitcoind-rpc-password=rpcpw1234

hope this can help you

Got wallet to work.

How do I import chancecoin from a blockchain.info wallet and send it to a new address?

If someone gives me good instructions on how to do this, and also an address, I can send them $50 worth of chancecoin.

1)export the private key from your blockchain.info wallet
log in your blockchain.info wallet,find the Import/Export button,click,after a warning you need to input your password again
then you will find  the Export Unencrypted button on the right side of the page,click it ,select the private key format: Bitcoin-Qt format
find your private key after the word "priv" in the middle of the page.copy it (be very careful not expose to others)
there is a video tutorial made for cxp user,but the export private key part is the same.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P33jqIjg67E
I guess it will be more easy with this video

2)import the private key you just got into your bitcoin-qt
https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/How_to_import_private_keys_v7%2B

3)CHA sending function is showed on the chancecoin wallet but I haven't tried it,

hope this can help you

tips address: 12dMHU1W24zfZ6c3pxF6ZhV54EFF1rYJss BTC or chancecoin will be ok,if you are serious:)

Buy/Sell Thread

(This is needed, because the exchange is working with 24h orders and I don't know how to change that.)
