But they are not against zero value posts because all they want is quantity over quality and it is a known fact since when they introduced their campaign on bitcointalk. Smiley

They've been way more stringent compared to last time, from the 100 posts minimum to the banning of several countries.

Still, the shitposts are inevitable there.

That true, I have used Cryptotalk in the past, but what I see there is mostly already on Bitcointalk first. Its mean, the thread that is created are similar with what is on Bitcointalk, even though it is not 100% the same. Like this Crypotalk post you can find it on Bitcointalk just different type of posts (with and without image)Cheesy

From there I thought why would I be active in Cryptotalk if in the end what I read was the same with topic here. And yes lot of Zero value posts there, i don't know, is there any active reporter or not, but that the fact.

Active reporters and people with great reputation are there.
I know some of them.
Also, moderators work fine there.

But, at the expense of the content - it is really completely copied there from this forum, people just want to make money from it, they don't think about how to create a normal, worthwhile post that will help newbies.
In one word - horror. Grin Grin

About a year ago, a new cryptocurrency forum appeared on the Internet - Cryptotalk.

This forum in all seriousness will try to become the first in the TOP of forums about cryptocurrencies, to try to oust the Bitcointalk from the first place.
The forum even pays rewards to people for posts, Bitcoins, to keep people active and the forum to flourish.

On the forum, many people are sure that sooner or later the Bitcoinalk forum will leave the first place in popularity, for me this is all nonsense and I want to give a few facts why this forum, BitcoinTalk, will constantly be in the first place if it does not close.

Why?

Why are you comparing the both forum ? Cryptotalk forum has a very small scope and you will most find ICO/IEO related bounties which are limited to yobit exchange only as that is their forum. Bitcointalk is not linked with any exchange , coin etc and you will find a lot more information and bounties (if interested), on this forum.

Banning people based on the region doesn't look convenincing because there is no border to knowledge even someone from third world countries can have better knowledge compared to the guy from well developed countries and literally thry banned countries because they don't want to pay the people for that pay per post campaign on cryptotalk.

Banning people based on the region doesn't look convenincing because there is no border to knowledge even someone from third world countries can have better knowledge compared to the guy from well developed countries and literally thry banned countries because they don't want to pay the people for that pay per post campaign on cryptotalk.

The last time I checked, it was due to the low quality submissions from those countries.

Legit or not, it's hard to determine because there are other services that also implemented similar strategies. For instance, visitors from US/ CA are paid way better than those from third-world.

If crypto talk continues paying bitcoin to all thier  member then they will have many spam post from users by having that paid per post forum. not a good idea if you want a honest discussion forum maybe they can find other alternative way to help users to earn but not that paid to post.

There are many forum tried that before andthat's not worth it for the money use by the owner  and in long run they will just move to other forum if they think its not beneficial for them to be there anymore.

I have no doubt in my mind which is best for a beginner, due both to the legacy, and the capability of many of the forum members to answer your questions.

Out of curiosity, I took a look at Criptotalk on the WayBackMachine (https://web.archive.org/web/*/https://cryptotalk.org/), only to find some curios facts.

- Cryptotalk, as a domain name, seems to have been around since at least 2013 (first saved image: https://web.archive.org/web/20130514035208/https://cryptotalk.org/).

- If you look at the first Recent post in the link above, it verses: “I am pleased to announce that Silverwolf's WDC Pool has launched and we are” … “Wednesday, 29. May. 2013 by: the1silverwolf”.

That is the same content and author as this Bitcointalk post: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=219329.msg2308524#msg2308524

- Some Member names coincide on both forums.

- Here we see an initial proper website layout: https://web.archive.org/web/20130913002404/http://www.cryptotalk.org/
No Bitcoin logo, and the index is basically altcoin.

Not sure, but perhaps that site, probably later sold to Yobit (and perhaps others in between), may have been created originally with the idea of talking about crypto in general, and may have received content from some Bitcointalk forum members in the early days (it does not seem to be a clone attempt per se of all the content, but some posts may coincide like the one I pointed to above by @the1silverwolf).

I didn’t even know that cryptotalk had been trying to create for so long, already since 2013.

And it started normally only in 2019, what did they think for 6 years? Grin Grin

Ddmr explained that the domain has been registrated since 2013 while the forum as we know it today just started lat year by the moderation of Yobit exchange. Great possibility that it has been sold to Yobit if the original domain owner isn't from the Yobit team .

snip
I didn’t even know that cryptotalk had been trying to create for so long, already since 2013.

And it started normally only in 2019, what did they think for 6 years? Grin Grin
Ddmr explained that the domain has been registrated since 2013 while the forum as we know it today just started lat year by the moderation of Yobit exchange. Great possibility that it has been sold to Yobit if the original domain owner isn't from the Yobit team .
What future do you think this forum will have?
It seems to me that without monetary support from the YoBit exchange, this forum simply cannot exist.

Which one, CryptoTalk? If they removed the pay-per-post from their forum, it'd die quickly and painfully. Last time I checked it out, it was just exaggeratedly filled up with shitposts and plagiarization. It has no future, the same way YoBit wouldn't but they just come up with new scammy schemes every few days to attract and fool more newbies.

Might not last as long as Bitcointalk IMHO.

They still have support since YoBit is an exchange so there's a stream of funds from their members or sheeps but as long as CT manage to sustain on its ad-revenue, there's no point for them to pull the plug.

I agree with you, when I'm going to compare the quality of the post here in the forum and the Cryptotalk forum, Cryptotalk really has a low-quality post, most of it is just a small sentence that doesn't really make any sense.

For sure there are still spammers and low-quality posters here but Pay per post in the Cryptotalk really makes it worst as people are just posting for the payment that results in spamming and people that don't have any experience in cryptocurrency is just trying to make something up.

A forum is a place where you could share your ideas and learn information from the different experience of the other members, I think paying for a post is not really bad for some experience poster sometimes that might motivate them to create a good post because of the bonus payment but the payment in Cryptotalk could be abused by a lot of newbies leading to big spam.

Fraud?

These projects didn’t deceive anyone, but they don’t do anything useful for the cryptocurrency world, but I did not notice any fraud on their part Shocked
