In my  own opinion  it's not good to hold for long term this kind of project can only give you profit in short term they created hype and get the demand they wanted , lucky those persons who got it for free but if you are only planning to invest today then you should know the risk and consequences that will happen if they failed to continue develop their project.

Uniswap's UNI seems like a good token to hold because lately, uniswap is getting a lot of attention and if the rumors turn out to be true about the third iteration of the uniswap exchange that could really push price. But for now, I will wait for UNI to dip more.

I was sure the price of UNI would go down, so I sold it first so that it prevented this from happening, usually a token that is quickly popular will quickly fall too, we see sushi and some other tokens start to fall, UNI is a free token that people will continue to throw away also tokens like DeFi, farming or staking it also doesn't guarantee it will last long, the concept is outdated in my opinion, many better projects come up with interesting concepts, so people will quickly switch to it, just take a look at my signature and learn

I just expect another bottom floor for UNI as the liq mining is still happening and UNI has already dumped so hard by the participants of liq mining. You can see how much UNI that already distributed in daily basis to as reward for the miners who have already participated in the liq mining pool.

I will not think the price can go back easily as there will be more and more pressure to the UNI's price.

They are late already since the price of UNI drops big and those who sell early are now enjoying the free money from this project.

UNI is also good for long term holding, just set your target price and you'll be good. Don't expect an easy pump again with UNI and I think $1 is far from reality for now but if you see the future pump again better to keep holding and beside the UNISWAP platform is working good and many are using it now.

I think its a good long term tokens. If there are tokens that good to buy its one of them. V3 features of uni will be more having activity in line with uni governance tokens. So I think there are possibility of price push. Also we all knew that uniswap is one of the best dex and famous now. Its not hard to drive the market for their tokens. Just my opinion. I am one of those lucky uni recipient and Im planning to buyback my tokens in the near future.

Yeah, but the perpetual inflation rate will start after 4 years so there is still room for price growth although there still many token available for historical liquidity provider that claimable. There is always a risk that buying this coin and holding for the long term will result a loss. But the utility of $UNI token is very powerful because holders can vote for a liquidity pool. Maybe hype will drive the price up again once bull run kicks in.

the idea is not just about having or bringing up a new concept it is about providing a solid utility for the concept, you will observe that most tokens out there irrespective of concept don't have any utility to sustain the growth of the project price wise, am not sure about uni but if they seem to have a good utility for it then i don't see why not buy a handful,
besides, the price drop also affects all other project which are not defi, maybe when market is back up price will most likely go back up

Longterm perspective doesn't look very bright for UNI for few reasons. There are many swap dex that are coming out and everyone is getting into defi space. It would've been a good hold if it came out six months ago but in todays' environment its good but only for short term. You meant about the current circulating supply will become 10 times went the maximum supply has already reached by uniswap, right?

The more people who earn UNI from participated in the event and the more people will think to dump it into the market too. When the bearish trend was happening and people will not put more money to create strong support in the market.
That means the UNI can go to the bottom price anytime.

I don't understand why do people think that if a token is generated over time, it's price can't go up. Could you explain why does the price of some mineable coins increase over time even though new coins are mined all the time? It's simple - if there is more buyer then sellers, the price will go up; if there is more sellers than buyers, the price will go down. True, it does matter if new coins or tokens are generated all the time, but it's not the only reason for the price to go down.

Currently the entire market is in red and so is UNI. I don't understand why is everyone surprised that it's price is going down after that big pump to $8.

One who received the airdrop straight away sold them even if the token is worth to hold because they know it is possible to buy them for cheaper price after a while that is what exactly happened at the moment.Currently it is not doing good but it looks its a profitable coin when you hold them for mid term goals.

I really believe it is a short term profit thing and it is not going to be like how people think it is. I am seeing a lot of coins with a ton of price changes right now but that tells me they are not really "believed" projects which make the long term harder for them to begin with.

What I mean by "believed" is that we all believe in bitcoin, we all believe in ethereum, we think they are going to be awesome in the future as well, but this one is not like that, I know a lot of people got into it at first but I believe a lot of them got in because they think they could make a quick profit from it, they didn't get in because they believe it will be great in 5 years time. There could be a few people who got in like that but the majority is in for the short term gain.
