Looks like this is just a hypothesis from the FOMO people or it could be for themselves. DeFi is not completely collapsed at this time, even though some DeFi has started to show lower performance, but DeFi still provides opportunities for FOMOs to join this hype.
But if the worst thing happens, namely DeFi completely collapses, then there will be further hype which of course makes us have to be prepared to determine the entry point to start investing.

I dont think so mate. I think defi is quite rocketing to moon right now but dome aren't the same performance. Some are slower and some are faster as anticipated.

The defi hype is not completely over because there are still many projects that use defi at this time, but it is not like two months ago now there is a slight decrease in demand, it is also caused by scammers who use the same hype as ICO before

The New DeFi project is still coming day by day. It is clear that the hype has slowed down but I think it's not over yet. But after a lot of pump dump situation investors became very careful and not in a harry to invest in the new DeFi project. They are playing with the old one and looking for opportunities.

Old project move with bitcoin I think. These happen before. Other ALTs market move with Bitcoin price. The old coin can be a good option for long term hold. A project like ETH, EOS, LTC will not be a scam so investors will get steady price change in these markets.

I don't consider the craze on defi projects were already over, the hype slowed down a bit but still people are looking for best defi projects to invest on and I don't see defi affecting other top coins rather,the prices moved according to the market irrespective of defi projects quick success so no need to mess up.

DEFI will never, it is just the start

The current DEFI is mainly Yield farming, lending and borrowing
Look further
Flash loans, debt consolidation, and all these traditional finance product will be available because of DEFI

Coins like EOS, LTC, BCH, XRP are just purely blockchain coins
Easily replaceable once they got no adoption
We need working products, not Blockchains
We had way too many Blockchains here

I don't agree if it says DeFi is over, Because DeFi prices are now down, it doesn't mean DeFi over. I am still optimistic that DeFi projects
will be hype until 2021, therefore I am still holding several DeFi projects. DeFi will still attract new investors, even some DeFi projects are
still actively promoting, so investing in DeFi projects is still profitable in my opinion. Regarding old coins such as ETH, LTC, XRP, EOS and
others it is still good for investment, because it has strong fundamentals, so the price can be pumped at any time. So it is highly recommended

You're right, along with the scam that is still repeating itself on the DeFi project, I think investors will leave. the question of whether investors will return to old altcoins or not, we will know the answer next year because now we know the world is still in a pandemic and the economy still needs to recover first to know the future of this crypto coin market.

Every platform produce bad and good projects, we can't blame that to a certain platform like De-Fi, we are even lucky there was a hype as it somehow help the crypto market to recover and grow.

I do not think the DeFi trend over yet. People just not in a hurry to invest in any DeFi. Especially they are ignoring any new Y series DeFi project. They are now focusing on a legit DeFi project that is already listed on market or has a strong team and partnership. After so many fake DeFi projects that becomes obvious that people will not throw their money blindly but not sure what will happen to those old coins.

when defi hype and trend over, it will replace by new trend or maybe back to old coins that developt new feature. as market cycle its very normal while new trend will replace existing coins. but to be honest , defi project trend now decline . most of new defi project didnt show good performance in market , maybe investors trying to find another opportunity to back to bitcoin as safest portofolio.

Many just learned where to focus now during hype we see many new DeFi projects popping and becomes successful then after few weeks the price drops. Now many were just focus trading DeFi projects that are worth it's value and trading for. I focus only on few defi like link, uni and mostly in Bitcoin and xrp in terms of trading.

Defi "revolution" never happened, there was a hyped amount of money going into it but there was also the logic of "money locked" which made it look like there were more money locked there than there were actually real money involved.

For example, people locked in let's say 500 million dollars worth of money in there, which is a lot of money I agree but nothing shocking and brand new for crypto world, but the money they gave in turned into tokens that worth 50x more money locked in wallets, so it looked like there was 25 billion dollars locked in when the real money was only half a billion dollars instead. That is how the real hype happened, people assumed there were money there that there wasn't and that made them go into it thinking everyone else was going into it.

I don't think Defi is ended. From my thinking it will go far more with the trend. Just some new Defi trends will come to create the hype. Now the most recent hype is defi+nft. Which is created by Dego. Dego launched there NFT minning and people really enjoying this. That's why a new trend started Defi+ NFT.

So, I think Defi will run in 2021 also. Let's see what new trends they bring.
