^^ major concern would be safety of 8-9millions indian expats in the gulf. Increase in crude oil prices could increase our import bill as we are heavily dependent on energy, which means $$ reserves could take some hit, if it's 1-2 week affair then it won't pinch much because we have 70-75 days of reserves in oil. Supply lines and logistics are also taking some heat, this could be a problem as well.

From geo political pov, meh we are used to walking on tight ropes.

I guess there is atleast half a dozen Indian were killed in those attack but governments are not reporting anything to avoid the panic and the picture of safest countries in the world but middle east will not be safe anymore I guess.

Iran got enough resources to retaliate for a month atleast if I am not wrong, so we should be prepared for what's to come.

And taking the side with US on this matter might affect the relationship with Russia too.

I think India should play safe here and should not really partner with either of the countries. We can't really afford to ruin our relations with Russia as they have backed us since decades now and Modi has a strong relation with Putin. India has nothing to do with the current situation and until and unless this becomes a national threat for our nation we should not really interfere. Situation is going to be worst in the coming as I think Iran has resources for more than a month or maybe even a quarter. They can continue with the bombings and affecting countries will for sure respond back which will just make the situation more critical.

India is on a safer side as of now, but we never know what is really going to happen in the future. I hope India stays far from this as we can't really afford spending our economy to fuel the war. Mr Modi has made some really great relations with few powerful nations and even US now recognises India as a strong developing country.

This could turn into a WW3 and if this happens then India is in real danger because China and Russia will be on the other side so we become the easy target or more prone to attacks from them. But as of now this is still the war between Iran and US, but who knows if Russia or China enters into the picture then things could get real dirty.

^^ Russia will never be on other side of India unless both China & India are on the same side ...Russia need India as much as India need Russia , they both use eachother as counter balance to China ..there is only one scenario where Russia end up on other side of India & that is they choose to become junior partner of China and that's not happeing atleast untill Putin is there , even after that i doubt it that will happen.
