Just to show off and take a selfie with it, and to claim they have better device with apple compared to an Android. But those statements are invalid now because we have even better camera phones from Android in the last 3 or 4 years with better specs and designs and the only thing they are still holding is with their video clarty. And it is mostly due to the optimized software rather than a better device. Smiley
The show-off era is over. As of now, the new mantra is security and updates. I have seen a 2007-era iPhone still working without any issues. That is what the price provides. Android has got an issue that it will only work for approximately 5 to 6 years without any issues. The camera is the best on iPhone, hands down, but only a handful of us will use the camera for that kind of quality. Apple ecosystem is another benefit that you can avail of if you are using an iPhone. But, due to cost and everything being chargeable, it stops Indian to be part of it. There are many benefits, but the problem is the cost which is why Indian's avoid iPhone.

In general, most of us use phones for sending messages and for calls. Some of us might be using it for being active on social media. I personally do use an 80k Android phone because I have experienced that costly phones from a good brand tend to last longer than an entry-level phone. I do play games on my phone, so I need a good processor, which I will not get on an entry-level phone.

BTW.. Did you guys check the names in the FIR by the CBI in the Disha Salian murder case? It looks like a big scandal is in the making.

To be honest, even I am an old time Android user and have been using it since IceCream Sandwich (Android 4).
Right now my phone usage has dropped drastically and mostly use it for calls and notifications only.
Still wonder why do Apple phones even exist but the thing is, it really provides a great experience.

The only reason why I think Apple devices are good is because of the buy back value they provide.
You can easily get a good exchange rate which is hardly the case with Android phones.

The fact is that the iPhone came out first, and then Android followed with Samsung phones. That is one reason Apple and Samsung are considered more trustworthy in the smartphone industry than the Chinese brand. I don't think buyback is the reason, because the Samsung Galaxy series does offer a good buyback rate. I feel it is the trust & reliability in these two brands that is why consumers have never stopped buying them.

Bhai idk about you guys but meri toh fhat jati hai price dekh kar lol. My phone budget is 10k at best and atm using some "techo spark" which was under 6k.

Did face some peer pressure here n there but my lower-middle-class mind still can't comprehend the concept of spending lakhs on just phone.

10K devices are too basics, setting this price at 20k might be good. I bought Iqoo which is a good midrange and complete all rounder.
Possibly but I'm pretty much satisfied with lower end handset and if it was up to me then I'd have went back to Nokia 3315.

@pawanjain yeah, I use it only for calls and to maintain some presence in family whatsapp group and use this forum other than that phone is just otp recieving device for me.

The user experience is the main reason everyone is willing to shell out more money for the i Phone. I am using iPhone 17 Pro Max, and if you are using other apple products then you find it useful. Once you start using them you never turn back to other brands simply because of the user experience.

The only reason why I think Apple devices are good is because of the buy back value they provide.

Yes, the resale value is also great, which is a massive advantage if you want to upgrade to the next new model. With an iPhone, you can get a solid return, unlike other brands where you often end up getting just a quarter of what you originally paid.

Now this turned into Android vs Iphone, anyway I am an Android user. I had an iPhone 6s back in the day but it was not that comfortable to me so I switched back to samsung again and then Chinese brands came and took over the market completely. As JSRAW I am not using the device much, some whatsapp and social media scrolling and everything is on my pc so having a highend is just and overkill and unnecessary spending.

BTW Iphone give better expereince because the brand force every app developer to create optimized version of their apps to stay in the appstore so it is not because of the better hardware, just software specs makes the difference.

Oh yeah, Samsung Galaxy Series smartphones are really top notch but then again one might argue whether to purchase it at such high prices or go for the iphones.
At the end, it depends on individual preferences, for some the experience on iphone might be better while for the others, Android would be a better choice.

P.S: Flipkart just announced it's Big Billion Day and has also created separate ads for the Samsung Galaxy and iphone devices on it's Youtube page. Sales starts October 9th.
