And for the stretch these companies will just hire employees remotely and no need to pay huge fees for the withdrawal processing, more savings to the companies, while the politician has a reason to play the next election for the leaders, so it is kind of win win for both parties.
Companies are already hiring workers for remote positions. The major advantage is that these companies only need to pay a fraction of the salary to these remote employees. For example, for remote workers outside the US, they could hire developers for less than $2,000 a month, whereas if you are hiring from inside the US, they need to shell out around $8,000 to $12,000.

As far as I know, salaries in US is 10x of what they give to people here in India.
A person might be getting $30k in India but the company will have to pay $300k for the same work if they hired a person in US.
That's why many US companies prefer hiring Indians for 1/10th cost of hiring a US citizen.
True and now with enabling remote jobs they save even lot more money, from saving the cost of their workspaces which will be huge if we are considering a place in the US and also they don't have to offer more benefits while work from home. Maybe in future they will switch to all in temporary people like how swiggy zomato call them as partners to avoid the laws the same thing will be implemented and fire anyone at any time without giving any compensation or whatsoever.

What this all means is that hiring people to work for your company remotely has become very common for a lot of different roles. And hiring people outside of the US that will work for a fraction of what US based employees make, while at the same time saving on employee benefits, insurance, office lease, etc... well, that math just makes sense to keep doing that.

It seems inevitable that many companies will push their employees to partner or contract situations as well. We already see this in places like food delivery, and I imagine we will start to see that in tech support and probably mid level development roles soon enough. This is less stable for employees, but the benefits to companies, saving a fortune, and being able to grow/shrink their workforce as needed with no real commitment, will far outweigh that.

I wanted to check with the community what your views are about the CJP [AKA APP]/ Congress protest. The CJP first started as a student protest, then slowly shifted to an EC protest and now they are asking for the resignation of the HM & PM. In the meantime, the UNSC suddenly woke up, followed by the biggest oligarch in the world.

BTW.. Spain & France are facing the same kind of protest at the same time.

After covid, work from home was really promoted which created a wave of remote opportunities. Back before covid, there were hardly any remote opportunities for Indians because most of the remote jobs require employees to reside in a specific country so they can visit the office if required. Yes, there are a few job roles where visiting office is not required but yet employers would prefer hiring candidates from their own country instead of outsourcing to countries like India.

Yes, these employers can definitely save a chunk of money if they can hire Indians instead of the US citizen. But there are still some strict rules these employers need to follow so they scrutinise the applications even more carefully.

While that makes good financial sense for a business, they tread lightly when bringing on international employees. Working across time zones along with security, regulatory and legal obligations means it’s not as simple as filling the position locally.

And while the rise of remote jobs post-COVID gave companies the freedom to hire from anywhere in the world, many still seek local talent who could easily transition to onsite work if necessary.

The world is facing a few terrible issues, which have never been easy to handle just because of having unrest in a few countries always favorable for big players because these big players are able to take advantage. In India things are not complicated, but a few are trying to increase the tense situation, which is not favorable, while France and Spain surely have internal issues because the situation is not looking good enough.

By the way, which country currently has peace and things without any serious trouble? Most are fighting with issues because living costs are increasing and they are increasing taxes, but people do not have enough sources to stay with these high taxes.

Another Monday for Delhi, fed up with this constant chutiyapa but it's mostly normal here, good that they changed the protest site.

Delhi police managed it well tho, which was kinda surprise considering their track record in handling crowd. Government still handling cjp guys with kid gloves.

Firing a person on the spot is already something that US is doing but they offer a pretty good severance package for it.
In India, we usually have to serve notice period in IT companies which is also fine considering that we get some time to prepare for the next job.
If the company itself fires the employee then they pay the compensation equal to the notice period duration.
I don't think they will fire anyone without pay in future as well, this shall continue.
