btc and illegalities was first discovered on the dark web but that was silenced long time ago and now there are making a comeback but this time they arent scared because the deal was done outside the outer web .

One good action taken by Telegram is tagging the channel/user as scam if it has been proven.

was this a new feature ? i have also noticed this lately but i didnt remember if i have seen this before because i was rarely using t.g nowadays  . this was a good tool so that people can be sure with thier suspicion but there are still annoying occurence on telegram like you are being joined automatically on random channels and groups that you dont know , how i wish they also fix this out  .

I came across this news which is unfortunate but inevitable, people use fiat, bank accounts , gold, anything which is worth any value to do illegal activities.

There’s a new avenue darknet market (DNM) customers have found that allows them to purchase illegal wares 24 hours a day via a robot drug dealer hosted on Telegram. The platform dubbed ‘Televend,’ is an automated software program that peddles illicit narcotics for people paying with bitcoin and during the last few months, the complex system has grown massively.

While many darknet markets have fallen to the wayside, a slew of new types of methods when it comes to selling illegal drugs online has risen. For instance, the world’s largest DNM in Russia, Hydra, leverages a complicated system of vendors who utilize drop zones. Additionally, a great number of DNM customers have used messenger applications like Facebook Messenger, Signal, Telegram, Whatsapp, and others to procure some drugs.

More recently, DNM users have been leveraging a new messenger route that utilizes a Telegram software program or bot called “Televend” to facilitate drug trades.

It’s not too hard to locate the relevant Televend links in order to catch a glimpse at this growing black market platform. According to the program’s learning channel, there are a number of obstacles one must complete before leveraging the Televend route. The channel’s pinned message also gives a brief description of what the bot does and how drug vendors can use the app.

“Televend is an auto-shop bot network for direct dealers, we administer the bots and vendors run them like private shops,” the channel’s message reads. “Customers can visit them and pay with bitcoin, track orders and payments, plus leave feedback and ratings. Vendors control the listings and configuration of their bot via a .onion Tor-based control panel so no Telegram account is needed to vend. At this control panel, they can add listings, process orders, answer messages, and other features.”

But this time what's unfortunate is : Government will make this the fault of bitcoins and the people themselves, put up huge restrictions or might even think about issuing a ban.

People are now using social media and telegram to buy illegal things like : drugs , they are paying through Bitcoins.

If someone gets in contact with such agents , they should timely inform the authorities, make sure you don't engage with things like this. It is not only bad for the whole community but it's also attracting negative attention from the black markets.

Again , in some places onion is banned 🚫 but in many you can very easily use the dark web and even order weird and illegal stuff online.

Using Bitcoin for buying drugs or using it as a payment method for illegal activities, isn't the fault of bitcoin. The problems are being created by humans. Some days ago, some kidnaper kidnaped a kid in Bangladesh and demanded a ransom in bitcoin cryptocurrency of nearly $10,000. Now, can you say that the problem was with bitcoin not with the people who used it in the wrong way...

Crime happens everywhere or whatever does involved, but it's also inevitable for the authorities not to blame Bitcoin into this. We all know It wasn't created for criminals, but it was created for decentralized peer to peer payment system, but criminals sees a huge advantage from it for not having a central authority. So, this is some solid ground to regulate Bitcoin in order to minimize crypto related criminal activities and implement a law specifically for crypto criminals.

This does happen in any medium of exchange including fiat. The Telegram bot can be reported to @notoscam and action will be taken either to block or labelled it as scam.

There are many illegal activities going on  online and bitcoin being a digital Cryptocurrency has been then abused. The purpose for bitcoin is being jeopardized by these Friendster’s using bitcoin as means of receiving funds from their prey. The real purpose for bitcoin is genuine and should be used during transparent transactions but now it’s use has been abused so i won’t blame it on bitcoin but rather on the abusers.

Bitcoin has been used for different scam activities and the issues of bitcoin used for ill acts on telegram shouldn’t be a surprise. Telegram being a social networking with such massive users should be encrypted. Even most encrypted platform are encrypted and these doesn’t bring to end scam acts but it’s a mitigation measure. One having bitcoin should be knowledgeable enough to understand that bitcoin is decentralized and it’s anonymous nature even makes it more difficult to trace when scammers interrupt. Bitcoin owners should be careful of who they disclose their business with and personal affairs especially on social media.

Everything has a good side and a bad side, neither does Bitcoin. Bitcoin is not born for illegal activities and never is, only bad people use it for their purposes in an illegal way which leads to crime. Bitcoin is a new cryptocurrency which is newly popular these days, that's why it doesn't catch sight of the government, easily for criminal activities break out in broad daylight. Oh, how long the Bitcoin will exist, so long the different topics like this one will appear again and again. And how long the humans will exist so long the dark net or dark market will be used. The problem is that people try to find how to buy/sell forbidden products or services and the government always find and forbid these channels in order to regulate such processes. And this question is eternal, and the problem is not in Bitcoin at all. As for the dark web. And what governments try to do in case something can be uncontrolled by them - they try to find how to regulate, they try to find levers of influence, like in this situation. They try to find something that wilm give them opportunities to control process.

It's just disappointing and frustrating that there are bad guys wherever you go. They try to make use all of the possible resources they can and do what they want. It is dangerous for us because what if cryptocurrency will be banned in a certain country because of illegal activities? As much as we have the freedom on what we can do with our bitcoin and other cryptos, bad guys also have that freedom. It's hard to finalize any thoughts on this since if anything, we will also be affected.

Yes it is true that Bitcoin is used for illegal purposes.  These are more commonly used in countries where corruption is high.  However, it is again used for good.  It should be used from within the rules.

Platforms as big as Telegram is hard to moderate specially if it has been infected buy such evil-doers scamming people for their personal gains.
One thing that everyone must do is to investigate first, do backround checkings, and look the real reputation of the investment.

Investors, specially for those who are newbie, should always be more careful on investing since they don't have enough knowledge into it.
Telegram-based crypto scams are hard to regulate since there are too much of them these days... So everyone must be careful.

That is surely a great way for them to improve their system. Although some users are only using Bitcoin as a front but all they are doing is promote their alternate cryptocurrencies which is also part of their elaborate scam scheme. Newbies should really be guided to not just enter any group chats because most of them are spams and scams, that is why we should be thankful to Telegram for labeling some group chats as a potential scam. Evil-doers can just create unlimited group chats and I guess that is one problem Telegram should try to resolve even though it will be hard.
