This is Turkish Super League 2020/21 season discussion thread.

This year 21 teams play in Super League because federation decided to keep all teams from last year, no relegation and 3 promotions. Every week 1 team rest and 20 games are played.
End of the season 4 teams will be relegated instead of 3 as normal.

First poll of the thread, which team will win the championship? Early season expectations. Poll is running for 30 days.

Sure, I believe this thread will be full of predictions and insights starting this week. We are in 6th week now.
Beşiktaş, Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe and Trabzonspor are biggest clubs and have most titles. Başakşehir is the latest champion. Other teams didn't even get one championship in their history. (Only Bursaspor has 1 championship and they are not in Super League)

Last years the league structure changed too much though, we can't expect only these 3 big clubs to win the championship. All teams have financial problems. It's a real gambling when you bet on Turkish league matches, keep that in mind.

Nice to see the turkish league thread here. This league has dominates. I think Galatasaray, fenerbahce and besitaks are the most prominent clubs but things could have changed, I see besitaks down on the table. Anyway, I will stay on to check on the thread.

Beşiktaş won the game but after 3-0 score Josef De Souza was sent off and Denizlispor found 2 goals. That was a very unprofessional move by him.
It was an easy game for them until 67th minute but they struggle in last minutes because they were one man down.
They still managed to get the win and went on higher standings, which they already should be in. Bets are won, today was good for everybody.

Week 6 finished. Alanyaspor is still leading, that's a surprise but they beat newly promoted Karagümrük which is expectable.
Başakşehir made 2 in a row, beating Antalyaspor with 5 goals.
Beşiktaş, Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe won their matches, this is not a common situation like it used to be.
The other weird thing is the only game that finish as draw is the Friday match, Kasımpaşa - Göztepe. There is no surprise score this week.

That was a close win for Fenerbahce today. They almost blew it against 10 man. In the end, 3 points are 3 points.

Week 8 starts with a good game. This Friday Beşiktaş will play against Gaziantep FK at Gaziantep. Josef de Souza is back, his red card ban reduced from 2 to 1 match and he's available now. Beşiktaş has a good 3 win run and they need that fourth to close that point gap between top sides Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray.

N'Koudou is still injured so we'll probably see Larin and Aboubakar together at forward. I hope Sergen Yalçın won't start defensively, there is no point to fear Antep. They need to put pressure over Antep goalkeeper Günay Güvenç by shooting from range whenever they see. We know he makes easy mistakes when he feels pressured.

Beşiktaş winning odds are pretty good so it will worth the risk. I pick straight Beşiktaş win for this game. Over/under goal bets look risky to me because Gaziantep's attacking side is unpredictable.

Fenerbahce have started the league better than the last season. They didn't get a lose in 7 matches so far. They will play a home match against Konyaspor this week and I think they will win. Besides, I think the match of the week is Sivasspor-Galatasaray. It will be a hard match for both teams. In my opinion, this match will end in a draw.

Fenerbahçe lost first time this year. I'm surprised because I didn't expect them to lose at home. Maybe Sosa's injury hurt them more than expected.
Konyaspor manager İsmail Kartal managed Fenerbahçe in 2014, he is one of their icons. This victory meant more to him.

Konyaspor has only 2 wins in the league but they beat Beşiktaş first, now Fenerbahçe, I wonder what will they do against Galatasaray. I hope they don't break this tradition.

All other games in Super League today finished as draw. That was weird.

It looks like the standings week after week are getting their true form.I see all of the stronger teams divided by few points now in the top of the standings.It is going to be a good Superlig this year if all the teams only keep improving themselves.The funny thing is Alanyasport still at the top of the standings which I doubt it will stay there  long.
