I will not agree as polkadot didn't bring us something unique. If we're talking about scalability and we have so many scalable chains, if that's about the smartcontract and we have a bunch of tokenization platforms. We have also chainlink, and many more. Remember there's also avalanche that has launched after polka and can we call that as the most important public blockchain to launch post-polkadot? We can't. |

Honestly, for me, POLKADOT is kinda hype. A lot of people started to compare POLKADOT to Ethereum, which is for me, POLAKDOT is really far from Ethereum.
But I don't really disagree with what POLKADOT roadmap is. They are totally one of the big contributors in cryptocurrencies, that's why I don't need to hate them, they are here now for innovation, which is good also.
About decentralized internet or Web 3.0, for me, we are still far from reality and it will not matter to me if POLKADOT delivers it, it's still innovation for me in technology which is really much appreciated.

Polkadot makes it easier than ever to create and connect decentralized applications, services, and institutions. so I think it is a serious competitor of Ethereum for developers to build Dapps and improves them on Dot blockchain. |

Good try, shilling Polkadot here, it is a fine technology but I don't think they realise that they need to dethrone Ethereum for it to be successful, Ethereum is the king in the smart contract world and is telling on other new protocols, unless there is a big mess up in Ethereum code I doubt Polkadot have a chance of success because in crypto is is about the community and to build a community, it depends on the number of people that has made money investing into your project. BTC, Ethereum, BNB and Link and recently Uniswap

I saw a lot of people comparing Polkadot and ethereum, when I read that thread I believe that Polkadot only hype, and won't last long then will dump soon. But until now the project has proven that it is legit?? Yeah maybe?? and remains in the top 10 coins. I never learn about this coin, but their concept decentralized internet [Web 3.0] has attracted people

Polkadot has been touted to be the next Ethereum killer, but honestly, I don't think that it can challenge Ethereum's dominance, specially that they are coming up with their 2.0 release There are a lot of things going on behind on DOT, however, it's too early if it could be the backbone on Web 3.0. It's has been in crypto space with many supposedly solutions, but then again, it was made up to obviously create hype, which the project did very good pumping it very hard up to this point. The question is, can they really deliver or this is just another hype?

GRANDPA: a trustworthy consensus algorithm
Polkadot uses its original GRANDPA (GHOST-based Recursive Ancestor Deriving Prefix Agreement) consensus for a more secure and resilient network.
Is it any different from SOLANA Historical Evidence? Using recursive data only makes Polkadot's blockchain heavier because it stores too much data. I think that in the long run, they have an impact on transaction speed and cost. As such, it's not much better than Ethereum, which can be said to be bad in another way. I do not believe that Polkadot will make a highlight while they are still new and only exaggerated. |

This has been exaggerated , before polkadot it was Cardano that assumed to be a platform for developers, and it was EOS , none of those could beat Ethereum so far and polkadot is just very new , it seems like gather the attention of some projects to hold IPO on it but most of the projects would rather take no risk and develop their project on ethereum.

Never visited my post for a quite some time and glad to hear about your comments guys. Yeah, it's really early to say about what Polkadot can deliver in the cryptoworld but its current position in the market place now and all the projects under its pipeline is somehow making a strong case that his crypto is indeed a real competitor for eth considering ethereum's high gas fees, slow TPS due to its bottleneck network and is not interoperable.
For those who get in early and invested a buck, congrats to you guys!

Yes, I also think that Ethereum developers should hurry up with the update. Competition in the market is growing every day and projects such as Polkadot have every chance to take the lead thanks to the development of their own technologies. I think Dot still has a lot of surprises. |

This is just marketing hype same as we've seen with ICO or Ethereum itself. Loud statements that proclaim their technology as the next big thing, a promise of adoption by everyone in the world, countless use cases and so on, but what will actually happen? Look at Ethereum, it's almost 6 years old and no one actually uses it in real world for some automated stuff, all of its use cases are just more useless crypto speculation and scams like DeFi and ICO.

As far as I remember Polkadot fired on the top of coinmarkecap very unexpectedly. But if you look through Polkadot blockchain-architecture you will find out that it’s very cool elaborated, provides quick transactions, low fees and have lots of interesting moments in blockchain that made it popular. If once something will happen to ETH Polkadot might easily replace it.
