ETH 2.0 might cause an increase in the price, but not really a big boom like most people would be expecting , because I already know that a lot of people are looking forward to a very big up trend with the ETH 2.0, but that's not how I'm seeing it, although some people are already creating hype around it, that still won't make much difference. When it's right for the price to go up it will, as for now there wouldn't be much.

Like OP has said, it's just some improvement in the transaction to make it more better in handling transactions than it used to do, which will be helpful for us, because things were kind of getting difficult with all these DeFi craze.

There was already a boom on ethereum regarding the news on ETH2.0 in the middle of the year or something, news affects and one of the conditions responsible for price spike and fall of ethereum, bad news brings bearish market and good news bring bullish markets. However ETH 2.0 upon completion would actually bring big boom to the network and likewise brings more investors to ethereum smart contract.
Although it had taken much time making the long waiting hopes starting fading away gradually, but its feature will surely make ethereum price hits ATH because so many investor will consider buying ETH in joining getting profit immediately when launch.

You can't even put ETC in the same level as ethereum. So many times ETC has been getting 51% attack which is really annoying for anyone who has been supporting it. In ethereum, the next update will be focusing to provide a scalable chain with more complexity and various features that will give the holders a lot of advantages.

I don't agree if you are taking ETC as a comparison for ethereum.

It seems like eth 2.0 could bring more investors and a drive to own 32 eth for staking. On top of that, there are always catalysts going on and ethereum can be an attractive alternative to bitcoin which may seem to hard or too expensive for people to own as time goes on.

ETH 2.0 still does not solve the auction mechanism in confirming transactions, it is completely meaningless. The ETH source code is being built in a hurry and we are having a lot of difficulties scaling the blockchain right now. It is possible to rewrite the entire source code of ETH.
Events related to ETH 2.0 may generate FOMO in terms of price, leaving nothing new.

I don't think you can just tell people like that not to expect mate because for year they have been waiting like me.
And we believe that this will bring another Hype in Ethereum platform specially the effect of Bitcoin halving is still in the air.

I still believe that 2.0 will at least make the price different from what is running now even if this will happen in just a short time.

More than 100% increase happened with ethereum since the announcement of ethereum 2.0.
that's more than enough to call that as a big success for ethereum 2.0 to attract the hype again.
There will be exact date for the launch of ethereum 2.0

The next update will not only bring the benefit for the holders but all of parties who have involved in the ethereum ecosystem.
More scalability, privacy, improvements will be coming very soon. That will be a huge update for ethereum for sure.

You have a good point on that things that i overlooked before and expect too much regarding the 2.0 release.
I must admit that i am totally positive about this because almost half of my folio are in Ethereum and all i wanted is to see the price grow high ,since it was denied last halving then this 2.0 version is my last ace.
But seeing your post here i finally understand that if there might be a Hype it will not as huge as what we are looking for.thanks for enlightenment mate,this really helps us not become frustrated when the day comes it was released and we won't get what we wanted.

ETH 2.0 will be a major next thing. Even if it doesn't solve all the problems with the blockchain of Ethereum, it will drive the price up as if there was no tomorrow. We are far away from ETH's ATH, with the same fundamentals, so depending on the narrative for 2.0 we could see a huge rise.

I don't put much faith in Ethereum's technologies when they were made for a short-term purpose. Consequently, the current transaction costs are pushed too high along with the difficulty in blockchain expansion as well as DAPP development on the Solidity complex. Launching ETH 2.0 will still be unable to solve the problems within it. ETH needs to be rewritten in its full code and that's impossible.
At least the value of ETH will go up and that's good for investors.

I don't know ethereum price will go up after new technology update. I just take opportunity buy cheap price and sold after higher price so i don't fell it. Maybe 2.0 will update next year so we need waiting for announced.

There were no news yet about Ethereum. 2.0  final released or update. It's been too long waiting since there's a need for an update now as ETH platform indeed need an update to make more transactions faster. Due to bulk transactions happening in ETH the transactions delay as well too high fees usually happens, if 2m0 will released fast and solve the issues expect a big increase in price of ETH.

Many users these days expects more of ethereum to boom its price. Even me I expect it a lot since mostly of my assets in crypto are in alts. Something better is definitely in store for us, as we can see in the market now, bitcoin and Ethereum are both rapidly moving higher in price, and it's a positive sign for us all, anyone who say we shouldnt expect big boom in eth 2.0 doesn't know what he or she is saying.

For me ETH 2.0 means pos instead of POW so basically the gas fee may go down lowering the transaction fee
So prices can go on a couple of counts
1) People hodl 32 eth to earn staking rewards
2) More projects move to ETH 2.0 more adoption would translate to more demand for eth2.0

We cannot 100% know what will happen to ETH 2.0 and its price. The price of Ethereum itself is important to me. Of course, there are a number of factors that slow down the growth of the price of ETH, but all this can change at any moment and the price can fly to the moon. Now the main thing is to see the goal and go towards it. As for me, ETH 2.0 seems to be supposed to solve the problem with the load on the network, if this is the case and this happens, then all this will probably have a positive effect on the price of at least ETH itself.

Expectations on ETH 2.0 completions affecting the price of ETH to be high failed roughly, OK, the new version I'd completed, what's the impart in price nothing,I know many bought ETH expecting a big gain but all these failed. Yeah, perhaps people looking to earn reward from staking eth now that it has the pos features will probably hold, if the staking reward is attractive it will attract more investor to buy eth to stake, it will increase the demand, reduce the selling or trading pressure and eventually translate to price,
more project can move to eth 2.0 if the scalability issue as being resolve to the barest minimum, the network is bale to perform better even under an increase in work load because the more the adoption from new project, the more the work load.
