I handle stress by giving myself some time to think of and by doing things I love like listening to music, drawing, playing with my pets and a lot more. Travelling can be one of them too, since visiting to different places gives some relaxation and you can get to know yourself too better. Stress can come in the unexpected way and we may not know what to do and just keep on overthinking and feeling insecure sometimes starts to swell. So, be strong and trust yourself that you can do it, survive it whatever will come your way because at the end you live for your family, friends or lovers and they need you. You may want to talk it also to your family or trusted friend.

In my stress situation , most of time i go to my washroom then do Ablution then go to my prayer room and done salat . After that i pray to my GOD so that HE minimize my stress and solve my problem. Personally i feel better after do that and this works for me maximum time.
That is what we need in time of seemingly the world is against us, we go to what we will feel solemn and sacred.

Good to hear that there are still people here that believes in their God .

Just walking away and taking a few minutes or hours to do something completely different from whatever is causing me stress.

If the stress is being caused by finances, I will watch a television show or movie and completely lose myself in that world.

Always telling myself that everything will be OK long-term. Even if the short-term is rocky, I will have many opportunities to improve my situation.

Breathing exercises helps a lot, which are also known as pranayama.
I am also diligent in doing yoga and practicing breathing is important, when stress arises because of something, meditation and breathing exercises are a good combination.

Make sense, and the best thing to relive stress without alcohol is do what you like it, take a break, move away from the existing place and take some short trip, meet friends and hang out with them, join or play some sports activity as it helps to body as well and keeps mental fitness too.

First of all we need to identify what creates stress in our life, maybe its work, maybe its family, or other factors. The best idea is to just take a complete break from whatever we are doing. Going for a walk and listening to music are the best things for me to reduce stress. Playing video games is not a good idea, because I get to invested into the games and want to win no matter what. In the end it just creates more stress than helping.

I tend to do the two things you've mentioned except exercising. I'm lazy on it.

But listening to music you like and playing video games really is helping me to relieve my stress. Such music is making me emotional too and helps me release my sadness and stress.

Sleep all day and night can help him reduce the stress because I am doing that when I feel stress and can not handle it. Maybe taking a shower using warm water before sleep will help make him relax and refresh his body. Then, when he finishes a shower, he can continue to sleep, relax his body, and set the stress free.

The stress causes me to distance myself from others and actually behave in a negative manner. I'm a real push over, and I can't handle negativity around me or any type of negativity at all.
I always feel so much better after talking to someone and after I show people how much I love and appreciate them. I think it's so important to treat people well.

This doesn't work for me. Even if I'm refreshed and took a shower but when something triggered me, that will still do no result to me. I'm still stressed and that won't remove it.

But not talking to someone, this is me and even how many hours it take without talking to anyone, I'm good for that and I think that's my personality that helps me a bit to lower my stress.

Based on my personal experience, it's essential to reduce stress. It may cause a lot of health problems, including erectile dysfunction (my husband was diagnosed).
