For me, when I am stressed there are 3 things I normally do.

1) Play games

2) Read a novel (my favorites are international espionage or crime thriller)

3) Go out for a drink.

Any one of them helps me to relax and clear my head

For me, when I am stressed there are 3 things I normally do.

Any one of them helps me to relax and clear my head
It's really good advice it lightens the head and reduces stress a lot no matter what we do it is not possible to reduce stress without entertainment. I also love reading books to reduce stress and it keeps me happy as well as free from worries.

Have a drink, dance, and if it doesn't work, find a place to punch.
You know what, the latter is what I am thinking to do when I am really stress these few days because of some reasons that is related to my job.

I was about to punch my monitor because of too mucj stress and anger yet I managed to calm and control myself.

When I am stressed or worked up, I feel like I can't sleep, I am anxious and can't function at work.

So I do a variety of things.
I lay in bed for an hour trying to sleep (I do eventually) and I do things like take a shower or go take a walk. Sometimes I take my pups out for a walk or go to the beach.

Stress is my best friend. My hair color turned white. I can't handle it.
Then let Salon do it for you?

They can turn White into any color you want so that way you can handle stress if coloring your hair is what stress made you   Smiley
Everyone surely their hair will turn white when they are old, but if we really stress it, our hair will turn white faster than it should. But now there are

When I am stressed or worked up, I feel like I can't sleep, I am anxious and can't function at work.

I've been there.

And that thing you do just to keep up and try to sleep is correct. That's what I've been doing when I'm very stressed and pressured. I just lay in bed and think of things to relax myself and eventually get my sleep.

It's a hard battle when you experienced it but the result of it that I'm dealing right now, even if I'm not stressed at all, when I lay in bed, within a few minutes, I become asleep.

Eliminating stress completely is impossible I think. We need to find a good way how we deal with stress on a daily basis. Relaxing in the evening and trying to forget about work is one approach, another is doing sports in the evening or on the weekend. We need to try out different things and choose the one that works best for us.

Don't hold everything in your heart. Everyone is under pressure. Learn to turn pressure into motivation. Life is relatively busy now, and sometimes we need to slow down our pace to enjoy life.

  • You can tell your friends about the pressure
  • Hang out and sing with family and friends

Meditation is the best solution. I couldn't even sleep because of the intruding thoughts. I would take sleeping pills and other type of pills to help me through the day.
Now i can ignore those thoughts and at least go through the day like a healthy human.

First of all, I take the time to just relax.

I find it very important to have at least 20 minutes of just relaxing time every single day. Whenever I feel stressed, I find a way to stop whatever I'm doing and take a few moments to just breathe so that I can relax. Also, when I feel I am feeling too stressed or overwhelmed I go back to my office, shut the door, close the blinds and take a few minutes just to step away from all the hectic work and office atmosphere.

Not totally eliminating but you can lessen the stress. You can find a hobby or sports that you will get your interest so as to think of other things other than the activity that you are getting stress from. This will refresh your mind or body and it may even give you a new perspective. But for me, to lessen my stress, I need to clean up the surroundings around me. In that way, I feel I am organized and can think clearly.

Thanks for your discussion. Yeah, lots of people are suffering from stress. The first and foremost thing is not to pay the debt in time. This is the root cause I think of stress. I even didn't find any better solution for this. I have been suffering from back pain. How do you recover from back pain? I handle stress by taking a deep breath and asking myself if this is how I fall apart? I find that sometimes taking a step back and looking at the bigger picture helps ease my stress and encourages me to not only be better but also feel better. Pain does not last forever. Sure, it may seem like forever, especially in the moment, but you will feel better trust!
