Fast food restaurants accepting crypto as payment method?

There were several of fast food restaurants and hotels that had bitcoin accepted here signs and they did accepted bitcoin some 5 years ago. Bitcoin payment were specially popular among foreign tourists. But as the government implemented the ban on crypto transactions, they have no more bitcoin accepted signs and I think they don't accept it anymore.

As of now, I know some fast foods like Burger King are already accepting Bitcoin as payment but only in some countries.
Burger King Germany accepts it with their deliveries.

Starbucks also but indirectly with the use of a payment application.
But sadly, I haven't tried it yet since I am not living in these countries.

Even the corporate companies like AT&T, Microsoft, Wikipedia have accepted BTC as a payment well that's how gradually it is dominating the globe.

Burger King, KFC, subway also started to accept BTC as a payment which is phenomenal people need to jump in crypto market and understanding how things are changing fastly in quick time and try make money.

but you can use easily your coins for daily expense if you have a credit card that can be loaded with crypto currencies.
I used both advcash and wirex . General impression was pretty good since they provide a good exchange rate and an easy to use platform. Only with LN or a sidechain it could be suitable use bitcoin for direct payment like this case.

For the next 10 or decades, maybe it will be explained that for now, it's only a few, in my country Indonesia there was news where there were hotels that could pay using bitcoin and there was a bitcoin barcode when bitcoin appeared new, and now there are many payment via digital money because there are many applications for storing digital money such as ovo, Dana, gopay, the original money is converted into digital money
for in my country Indonesia, so for crypto payments maybe there will be later but who knows when, most importantly the legalization permit where bitcoin, ETH can be a legal means of payment

There are several restaurants / cafes where I live that have implemented a payment system with crypto currencies, especially Bitcoin & Ethereum, one of which is: Starbucks, Clear Cafe, KFC, Coupa Cafe. This has been running since 2013.

This does not only apply to local crypto users, including tourists who can also use crypto payment methods, for now the system that has been running for 8 years is accepted by the people in my country, maybe this continues to expand to various regions in my country, if you look at the Bitcoin community is growing.
In this case to make it easier for both parties, both users and restaurant owners.

for countries in the world, I've never heard of that information. however on the island of Bali, there is a cafe that accepts crypto payments. Simply scan a barcode via our cellphone which of course uses a crypto wallet, after that the payment is complete. very simple and easy, also fast.

No, It's has been a long time ago, the Indonesian government has been banned those stores that accepting Bitcoin as payment. not only bitcoin, USD, EURO, and another currency, because all payments In Indonesia (Island of Bali) must use Indonesia currency.

Yeah its almost the same how it works you are just need to convert it first to Fiat currency.

It's really hard for any fast food to accept crypto currency directly since we know how volatile the price is, these will only works if that fast food had partner in one of the exchange or local exchange that can help them to convert it directly to Fiat currency every time there is people want to buy foods.

Since crypto often behaves like cash (no middleman or KYC required), it proves to be even better than credit/debit cards as a payment method. The only issue would be dealing with price volatility. But fast food restaurants can simply convert crypto to Fiat instantly via the use of a payment gateway (like Bitpay or CoinPayments).

I'd imagine this would increase mainstream adoption of crypto at a fast pace. People will adopt it very quickly because of its simplicity. Why not use a technology that gives so many advantages on our side. But crypto market volatility is the reason it's still not accepted everywhere. May be stable coin can be a good alternative to BTC and other alts so that mass adoption gets momentum right now. There are already many counties that accept crypto as payments.

I think no huge chain accepts crypto as payment just for now, there are places that you can use as a third party app like delivery networks that accepts crypto which allows you to pay them crypto and they pay the company in fiat so that you do not have to deal with fiat while still eating fast food. There are also fast food places that are not huge chains, like 10 places or less (even one) and they do accept crypto, there are tons of them all around the world.

However I do not think there is any place that takes crypto and have like 1000+ shops around the world, mcdonalds, burger king, kfc, arbys, subway and places like that do not accept bitcoin just yet, which leaves us with no big chain ever accepting it. Obviously those will be one of the last ones to jump into crypto, because crypto is more digital and a burger is as physical as it gets.

There are many places and eateries where crypto is accepted directly and indirectly. Plus do not forget that now there are many apps and services where you can pay with crypto and the vendor will receive in fiat so win win scenario for all.

TBH, I don't want to wait for the confirmation time in order to drink a coffee or buying Mcburger. The lightning network can handle the payment request instantly but I doubt teaching this method to all individuals will be possible for the next decade period. XRP and other lighting networks can handle the huge transactions in a few blocks which take less than 1 minute. It is debatable this way of making the payment is convenient or not.

Volatility is an issue that requires heavy attention for worldwide crypto acceptance. Restaurants that Will accept crypto as payment must figure out how to tackle the volatility issues,  I am yet to see one accepting crypto as payment.

Real time payment process with huge volatilities it's indeed be difficult unless crypto will automatically converted to fiat when paying, it can be done

and be accepted as payment process, businesses are always concern with volatilities so in order to support this process they need to convert it real time

as well it won't give them any risk incase the value fell they can keep the amount base from fiat right away.

I think everyone will be happy to see such developement. Considering that fast food restaurants is a growing business that one can set up in strategic places, now imagine accepting crypto as means of payment, this means that more people will be educated and hence introduced to what crypto offers and the benefits. However, on the other hand, to achieve this goal, I think Ethereum will be kind of better, since it is faster and more reliable than other altcoins, nevertheless if the idea can be adopted by fast food restaurants, they will most likely chose the coin best suited for them. Therefore, in all things, if this works out, it will set faster the crypto adoption.

Not sure there's any restaurant accepting crypto at the moment, but just as you said it will be extremely convenient to pay with out crypto, I just hope fast food restaurants start accepting crypto payments soon, would really love to go to a restaurant without any cash in hand or pocket and just sit there order then eat, when I'm done i will request for their address pick up my phone and send my payment via crypto to them, this will probably happen any time soon, there's a possibility PayPal can help us  achieve this.

Much faster and convenient as it only needs a few seconds to confirm. That's the case now in most restaurants here in our country even prior to the pandemic. As long as the market price of cryptos are moving upward, it will still be preferred to be used as means of investment because people would more likely choose to hold in order to earn profit from it unless its market price stabilizes in the future. People still prefers to pay using fiat or other centralized digital currencies in both online and offline services because they won't be having second thoughts whether to spend an amount which will not have a market value increase just by holding if ever restaurants will be accepting cryptos as mode of payment, it could also be a downside for them to store their holdings in the form of cryptos for a long time because they will be needing the money to circulate the needs of the retaurant and they won't surely afford losing whenever the price is falling.

During the Pandemic we were required to be at home to keep our distance, actually this method really helped with the existence of fast food restaurants by accepting payments in Crypto currency, even though there was a lot of debate about prices which were often not very stable, making it difficult to apply in my country, it's just the blockchain method that can be applied in my country, it is very difficult in my country to use Crypto currencies as payment, so some companies only implement systems like blockchain as a payment method, ..

This cannot be implemented by the whole industry because of the scalability or network issue, it can be implemented by a small fast food company because the network can accommodate their transaction, but with a huge company like McDonald there could be an issue on network congestion and fee as well, but I love to see this materialize in the future.

Stable coins can be used but all other altcoins is not practical to be used by now. The price is so volatile, a small business can do but in a large scale business this wont work well. In my country, online store accepts bitcoin through a third party but the price of products/service are still dependent on the fiat cost of what they offer. Knowing how high a transaction fee cost now to send a bitcoin, this will not attract businesses to adopt. During this time I prefer coins with lower transaction fee than the more established coins.
