I just found bitplastic.com through a few advertisement points and I am wondering if or not they are a scam. Is there anyone out there that has used them successfully?

Places that I found their site on:

https://twitter.com/ATMBitcoin
http://com-http.us/coins/unc/
https://plus.google.com/+Bitplastic/videos

Bitplastic smells very fishy to me.

I understand there are a LOT of scams in the Bitcoin world these days and the knee-jerk reaction is to scream SCAM at the top of your lungs.

Now, I have addressed this user numerous times, and I am still willing to investigate what happened.  Frankly, I am quite confused.

The user claims to have sent 1 BTC to his BitPlastic account.  But his BitPlastic deposit address shows nothing:
https://blockchain.info/address/1MwNHaJ5trhjMP1E5z3rRawrh22sCaQyoX

The 0.001 btc was a test deposit I sent to make sure his address was working, and it is.

I own 50+ bitcoin sites (BitPlastic, BitLaunder.com, BitArmored.com, CoinChimp.com, BitBing.com, BitForum.org, BitSweeps.com, BitListing.com and many, many more).  I am not in the business of ripping someone off for a measly 1 btc which would simply ruin my reputation.  It is far more profitable to run a legitimate business than a scam.

I am more than happy to post a screen-capture of this user's account as well. And I am also happy to keep investigating and I would like to address the complaint publicly, since he has made the scam accusation public.

If something has gone wrong with our service the user will be refunded. I just can't see what the problem is; it appears no funds were ever received.

Guess you are refering to me.
Like i earlier stated before editing the post, i do not go up on the hill screaming scam without reason, but when the customer service ended up just ignoring me...
And funds still gone, then i bloody hell did  Smiley

I talked to techs. They are making some security improvements to\r\nprevent hacking, and apparently the software is having trouble picking\r\nup incoming deposits. I confirmed that your deposit hit our wallet just fine. There is no chance the funds will be lost, but it might take up to 24 more hrs for\r\nyour account to be updated. I could update your account manually, but\r\nthen you would get a double-credit when the software finds the\r\ndeposit. Again, nothing to worry about, and I do apologize for the problem. We\r\nare always trying to improve security and in this case it has caused a\r\nsmall temporary bug

Hi,

What I don't understand is that when I check your deposit address on BitPlastic I don't see anything there. I just sent 0.001 to that address and it showed up fine. So I don't understand why 1 btc wouldn't have shown up if you sent to that address?

Screaming 'SCAM' is rather irresponsible these days. We have 10,000+ clients and own 50+ bitcoin websites. It is hardly in our interest to steal your 1 btc!

I don't understand where your 1btc went.  It certainly did not go to BitPlastic because we can see all transactions publicly in the blockchain.  Is it not possible that you sent it to a wrong address?

Well i didnt send to that specific address, as i said in support center correspondance.
The sending address on the website changed several times in that time period.

Which i addressed but were calmed down since you guys stated that you had registered the transaction and assured me that the funds were not lost.

I see the 1 btc you sent to that address. Unfortunately, that address has nothing whatsoever to do with BitPlastic. It is not, and never was, an address on our system.

I speculate you entered the wrong Bitcoin address when you sent. People copy and paste incorrect addresses all the time. I don't know where that address came from, but it didn't come from us.  Of that I am completely certain.

I'll send you the 1btc you claim you lost just to get rid of this complaint thread which is hurting my rep.  However, I am cancelling your BitPlastic card and banning you from the network of 50+ sites that I own.

Send me your Bitcoin address where you want the 1btc sent.  I'll pay you out of pocket just to get rid of this bogus complaint.

I am not so sure I would pay for the lost 1 BTC just yet...

Interesting history here:

https://blockchain.info/address/1E7CAq17dJVsjx7XJjrdNkYyALbRadWWaZ

Looks like it may be a blockchain.info wallet or another wallet that, like the blockchain.info wallet, sends it's change back to the same address.

3.004 BTC was removed from this address:

https://blockchain.info/tx/b01d528e34c2496b3d979079da61efd4b4a04501a731437bfab55036694c9b74

Then sent through a mixer of some sort here:

https://blockchain.info/tx/d942288b53a0c41082425bde589f4a7fcebf0310727d725947db1b810414798a

Then, coinbox.me just put more BTC into this address:

https://blockchain.info/tx/5f53c07933ff930bfa2a1a5b64f122c6d9b07326a784526eca61889800a22584

Whoever actually owns the address 1E7CAq17dJVsjx7XJjrdNkYyALbRadWWaZ

Has an interesting coinbox.me account here:

http://coinbox.me/?a=1E7CAq17dJVsjx7XJjrdNkYyALbRadWWaZ

1E7CAq17dJVsjx7XJjrdNkYyALbRadWWaZ is pretty obviously a personal account, not a deposit account for a business like bitplastic, and whoever owns it took/has the missing 1 BTC.

Our family was terrorized by Homeland Security.  Read all about it here:  http://www.jmwagner.com/ and http://www.burtw.com/  Any donations to help us recover from the $300,000 in legal fees and forced donations to the Federal Asset Forfeiture slush fund are greatly appreciated!

I felt this one comming... If your gonna ban and cancel my account/card you might as well refund the 0.2 cost for the card to...

Im 100% sure that i copied that address from the websit (regret not taking screenshot).
I also noted that the address changed several times (about 3-5 times) within 24-48 hours,
Which is why i contacted you guys since it was worrying that the address kept changing and no funds were registered even though the confirmed were above required.

I would have been more proactive with documenting the phenonemon, but given that your support said "no worries" and that they had "registered the incoming transaction", i took no further actions.

Guess you guys should check the system for hack exploits or db/wallet jibbrish.

Either way, i honestly have had enough about the whole thing.

Refund me the 1BTC (transfered funds), and 0.2BTC (for the bitplastic card you are gonna cancel),
And i'll be an happy camper, and remove the scam warnings around here.

I am not so sure I would pay for the lost 1 BTC just yet...

Interesting history here:

https://blockchain.info/address/1E7CAq17dJVsjx7XJjrdNkYyALbRadWWaZ

Looks like it may be a blockchain.info wallet or another wallet that, like the blockchain.info wallet, sends it's change back to the same address.

3.004 BTC was removed from this address:

https://blockchain.info/tx/b01d528e34c2496b3d979079da61efd4b4a04501a731437bfab55036694c9b74

Then sent through a mixer of some sort here:

https://blockchain.info/tx/d942288b53a0c41082425bde589f4a7fcebf0310727d725947db1b810414798a

Then, coinbox.me just put more BTC into this address:

https://blockchain.info/tx/5f53c07933ff930bfa2a1a5b64f122c6d9b07326a784526eca61889800a22584

Whoever actually owns the address 1E7CAq17dJVsjx7XJjrdNkYyALbRadWWaZ

Has an interesting coinbox.me account here:

http://coinbox.me/?a=1E7CAq17dJVsjx7XJjrdNkYyALbRadWWaZ

1E7CAq17dJVsjx7XJjrdNkYyALbRadWWaZ is pretty obviously a personal account, not a deposit account for a business like bitplastic, and whoever owns it took/has the missing 1 BTC.

Guess bitplastic might have had an breach?
Cause 1E7CAq17dJVsjx7XJjrdNkYyALbRadWWaZ was the address that were on the welcoming member area
I regret not noting all the other addresses that were posted there in the upcoming hours.

Would be interesting to know.

Forgot my bitcoin address btw: 1DikXbvQxaGz6QP6T5f5whFJ1XXt2P4Ys2

Let me assure you guys im not trying to scam anyone here.
Ive been an respected member (primary on the feathercoin forum as Admin, spent the last year helping people out there with over 1500posts, traveled to England to meet the members etc), also earlier been an part of nut2pools (one of the more respected pools).
It makes absolutely no sense in tainting my name or nut2pools for that matter for ONE freaking BTC...

I see the 1 btc you sent to that address. Unfortunately, that address has nothing whatsoever to do with BitPlastic. It is not, and never was, an address on our system.
Most of the coins sent to the address in question:

https://blockchain.info/address/1E7CAq17dJVsjx7XJjrdNkYyALbRadWWaZ

were then sent through a mixer.

Can you please look at this transaction:

https://blockchain.info/tx/d942288b53a0c41082425bde589f4a7fcebf0310727d725947db1b810414798a

and see if you recognize the mixing method as one of your own mixers here:  https://bitlaunder.com

I have looked over the web site at https://bitplastic.com/ and I really like the whole idea and I hope it is not a scam.

The fact that they have offered to refund the lost BTC is a good sign.

I may try the web site myself.

This is a service that (assuming it is not a scam) we could really use here in the Bitcoin community.

Signed up and got an empty address - good sign, the address that svennand sent his 1 BTC to would have show up as already used if he had checked.  I don't mean to say he should have checked as people normally do not check these little details.

I could not agree more, which is why i went there and ordered me an card.
which made the dissapointment even greater when things went where they did, lets hope they figure it out.

Its even more annoying when i got the reply from them saying that everything was fine and that they had gotten the payment to the wallet, only to now say. We know nothing of this spoken address.
