Bitcoin is not a scam, it is a good project that has a potential to change the way we do our financial transactions today. Bitcoin is a pioneer in the crypto industry and there are other good projects solving some different problems.

honestly I don't know how anyone on this earth would believe in something as nonsensical as saying that bitcoin is a scam when we see clearly how this project is a great genius, there are dozens of good projects in this crypto market that prove how this market is something fantastic. I currently don't hear anyone speaking ill of this market because hundreds of companies and the rich are already in this market because they saw the potential and legitimacy of this market.
If it is scam then surely it's could be exposed years ago because we have too many postmortems which fail to prove bitcoin is scam its open source and anyone can check codes just because of this there is not backdoor on it. There are so many questions from different peoples about this, sadly most of them are not answerable but still it's OK because we have some better mind about this.

Purpose of bitcoin is very quick transfer of payments and with very fewer fees just because of this now we have too many new technologies and better things in life which are helping us in many fields.

Bitcoin has never fooled anyone and has never scam anyone, but people can use bitcoin to fool others and deceive others in various ways. This is tantamount to abuse of bitcoin in illegal activities and ponzi investments. It is unnatural to blame bitcoin as an asset that should be held responsible for the lack of user knowledge and abuse by scammers. If anyone says it's a scam, then they really don't understand this technology properly. If there are, don't feed them.
The misuse of bitcoin which is used as a tool for fraud and systems, PONZi has been very often done by various groups of scammers. Such illegal activities will indeed have a bad impact on Bitcoin so that it will give a negative view of bitcoin to new users who do not fully understand the bitcoin network. or cryptocurrencies.
Until now, illegal practitioners who act in the name of bitcoin and use bitcoin as the main tool continue to emerge. ponzi projects, fraudulent investments etc all will be scams except Bitcoin.

People would really be having that misconception regarding on things that they are seeing specially to those who dont have much knowledge about Bitcoin which they would really be ending up on having that conclusion
that it is a scam generally without even realizing that it is just a tool on making out transactions and not the scam itself.

Its just a wrong or misconception on why there are these kind of rumors or telltales about bitcoin but once they do actually know even just on the basics of this market then they would surely
tell to themselves that they are really very wrong.

Cryptospace wont really make this big if Bitcoin was scam since from the beginning.

Let's just it is scam
How Long from Today we have left until Bitcoin will be done?
Let's say its scam we know today so how long we have time until it collpse?
Just humble speculation Let's play out the worse case scenario hope for the best prepare for the worse!
it's a joke of people who don't know the conditions of the crypto market.  they say it's a scam, scammer and others.  I think it has no effect on anything.  because there are more people who believe in bitcoin than those who don't like bitcoin
maybe because the market situation they are facing is different from the bitcoin market now. it's all because he made this thread in November 2020 which means the current state of the market is not better than now. I guess he regretted it after seeing the current market. Bitcoin will always be hype and people who say scams are people who fail to take profit of the crypto market

Easiest response to a fool suggesting Bitcoin is a scam would be to refute their argument citing any inflation crisis with any currency.

You can work out the math yourself with whatever inflation rate your country has, but generally speaking most central banks will target at 2 percent or more. So by virtue of retention, meaning saving all the money you have, you actually lose money by not spending it.

Your purchasing power can only go down, meaning the value of your money is higher today than it will be tomorrow, which is a built in function of any currency. Sounds unfair, right?

It's a natural thing that if you get better known, there will be a lot of shocks that will occur, that's a normal thing in business matters. Bitcoin is now increasingly known and there are even countries that have legalized it to be used as a legal and recognized currency, of course it sounds strange that there are still those who say that bitcoin is a scam.

whatever is said by people who are not directly related, will not make bitcoin go down, but instead will be more known and trade will increase, and those who benefit from bitcoin trading will be more and more.

If it is then also people invest to Bitcoin because in future we will go in digital currency ,maybe you don't know if bitcoin has been recognized as a commodity, like gold.  Bitcoin is not a scam but there are some people who use bitcoin for scam.  I am sure that in the future bitcoin will become more famous and more people are investing in bitcoin because large companies have started accepting bitcoin. So we are acknowledge about that but we not stop to invest Bitcoin .

Grin Grin Grin Are you hoping that Bitcoin was a Scam? this seems like what those people that are against Bitcoin would want to think. OK, so we already know for a fact that it is not a Scam to trying to speculate and calculate how long it would take to get out is unattainable so it defeats the purpose of trying to assume what you know it's not.

Those who do not understand about the world of bitcoin do consider that bitcoin is a ponzi fraud whose process is not directly but which is done gradually, but the events that we see today the value of bitcoin is increasing every year, and those of us who already understand it always take advantage if there is a dump on the value of bitcoin, then before assessing something we certainly have to learn first how the performance in a system that we are doubting, Don't easily judge negatively first.

Can't imagine that, it seems impossible for now. We have 500 million bitcoin holders. It won't be easy, and all of us here already fully believe in the action of bitcoin which is often said to be a scam. It has survived until now. This proves bitcoin to be powerful as a business financial technology.

If bitcoin is a scam, bitcoin will not exist until now and gain trust from us. Bitcoin can not survive and the price will not be reached to $64k. No one will even use bitcoin after they know bitcoin is a scam and will leave it right away. Perhaps, we will not see bitcoin can give us profit instead of stealing our money. Bitcoin will have time to grow more than today and once that time comes, people will see that they are late to join in bitcoin.

A scam is probably not a suitable term for Bitcoin - there is no dishonest scheme with malicious intent from those who are behind the technology.

I don't think Bitcoin will collapse, but rather will lose its popularity. Now, Bitcoin is more of an asset than a currency, like a collectible. It is worth what other people are willing to pay for it. Like Beanie babies or fine art.

It has fundamental issues that make it difficult to be adapted as currency (those "issues" are seen as "advantages" by many). If Bitcoin proves difficult to be adopted by a large portion of population, it will start dwindling down until forgotten by most.

It will still be used for transactions that people want to keep hidden from the authorities. I'd speculate this will happen in 10-15 years.

Scam could only be tagged up into those activities that surrounds on bitcoin market on where it is been mainly used for those criminals on making use of its anonymity feature which it is really sad
but cant really be avoided this kind of reality on where people would really be taking some advantage on regarding with this but talking about bitcoin on being directly as a scam isnt really that
appropriate or doesnt really fit out because demand is there and you could see on how big the community is that do support this coin.

... because demand is there and you could see on how big the community is that do support this coin.

It is not directed at Bitcoin but...

Collectible vinyl records, Beanie Babies, comic books, Hess trucks, post stamps, Coca-Cola memorabilia, and many others once also were solid investments, some of which lasted for many decades.

Just because many people believe in something - doesn't mean it is always be around.

Bitcoin is definitely NOT a scam. There's no single entity behind it after all. With decentralization, everyone benefits in the long run. Those who say Bitcoin is a scam are nothing more than haters or people who don't understand what Bitcoin is all about. It's been 12 years since Bitcoin's inception, and it's still going strong as sound money anyone can use worldwide. Blockchain technology at its core is truly a work of art. How people make use of that technology is another story. Bitcoin may not be a scam, but it's possible to scam other people with it. What matters is decentralization and censorship-resistance. As long as Bitcoin stays true to its roots, it'll last a lifetime. Just my thoughts Grin

I remember way back in year 2018, it has similar topic like this in Bitcoin discussion. Since I was a newbie that time I did gave time to read each conversation to learn about Bitcoin and how it works. I believed that it was not l, that is why until now I am here. I might not be successful because there were times that I have to focus on my career plus this pandemic made it hard the most for workers like me to report to duty but still, I am still holding into my beliefs that Bitcoin is real and not a scam. Anyways, even though I stopped for a meanwhile in working with bitcoin, it let me experienced the rewards for my hard work for 2 year in doing so.. What did I do to those reward? Ofcourse, I shared it to my family and now that I have time and more energy to live, I'm here again! Alive and kicking and still believes that Bitcoin is not a Scam.

Let's just it is scam
How Long from Today we have left until Bitcoin will be done?
Let's say its scam we know today so how long we have time until it collpse?
Just humble speculation Let's play out the worse case scenario hope for the best prepare for the worse!
Bitcoin will not be a scam, this setting is not established! We cannot promote the impossible to affect everyone's mood. This is really bad. We should have enough confidence to hold Bitcoin. If you choose Bitcoin, you should trust him. It's not about researching hypotheses that don't make sense.

Love these threads waking up after a year of bullish moves. Bitcoin. When using it as a method of sending money, or value, I see it as less risky than others, cheaper, and less restrictive.

But instead of wondering if it's a scam or not, here's a simpler way to approach Bitcoin when looking at it as investment: assume it has as much chance to fail as it has to succeed, same like any other financial instrument. And unlike a conventional scam, there isn't one entity capable of pulling the rug out from under you, so you're actually diversifying your risk by choosing Bitcoin (in addition to other forms of investment).

Anyone can determine Bitcoin's future path by participating in a decentralized network without third-parties. How can people say Bitcoin is a scam this way? This is nothing more than an attempt to spread FUD in order to stifle Bitcoin's mainstream adoption. Believe me, those who say Bitcoin is a scam don't truly know what it's all about. Either they hate Bitcoin or simply don't understand how it works. Bitcoin's been doing fine even with mainstream criticism, largely because of its decentralized and censorship-resistant nature. As long as Bitcoin stays true to its roots, nothing else matters. Just my thoughts Grin
