I was monitoring the election hours ago and I can say that it's really a close one. I'm not really into political betting and I can't say who might win since I'm just basing on the live statistic and since it's close, results can still change. For that person who bet such a huge amount of money, that is really something. I guess he's confident enough that Trump will win the 2020 election because he spends $5M to vote for Trump. If Biden wins, it's a big loss, but if Trump wins, then he will earn a lot, now I'm more interested in his reaction after the result came out.
In the early rounds, Trump is very confident about winning the presidential election for the next year because some time ago I read that Trump will do whatever it takes to make himself win in this election, so it's likely that Trump has prepared several strategies that will make him win, even though Joe Biden is currently in first place and hopefully this will not be the final result of the presidential election, because if this is the final judgment then the one who bet $ 5 million will lose a lot of money.

Yes, he was convinced he was going to win. That has only been to win votes to show his decisiveness to the public. I think he would know from the start that he is not going to win this anymore.
What an annoying man, by the way, that Trump.

It's part of consequences for betting on trump so it's either he will bag happily with his winnings or cry out loud for being a loser with trump.

But I think that amount is what the bettor can afford to lose since there's no insane guy will place all of his wealth for betting on a candidate which have 50-50 chances.

In a few more hours, we will be announced the results of the presidential race. First, there was a $1M bet, now, $5M has been made. Politics aside, I love to see how people enjoy their happiness with gambling. No matter what the aspect is, they can always make an entertaining bet. Do our cryptocurrency gambling sites have a big wager like this?
The biggest bets i have seen was in stake, someone wagging a bet for 10BTC for Donald Trump to win and i have seen several users wagging over 100 ETH multiple times and sportsbet.io was offering a odds of 10x for Donal Trump to win and i am sure many have used that option as the odds were too good to neglect. The race is really close than expected even though Biden is leading at the moment Trump is not far behind.

That's huge indeed as there are people / gamblers who do believe that things can be flipped along the way.

In most survey Biden really leading and from that media exposures he should be winning landslide now, but comes the election day things still close and Trump still can snatch this same with how he snatched it from Hillary the first time he run for the office, though Biden still in lead who still can't tell what is the fate of this $5M bet.

Trump is very confident that he is going to win I just saw on my Facebook feeds that he sounds like he is winning when in fact the stats says otherwise he is being trailed by 13 to 14 states this is not a small gap and if this continues with 97 States to go we will see a new US President on Biden, I hope Trump can take the lost, he is over confident.

It would certainly take more than some hours now. Trump was having a lead on the important states and was moving towards a win but Biden had caught him up in Michigan. And as they say, Biden have more of those vote by mail so a narrow margin means good sign for Biden as the postal votes are counted last. And Trump has claimed he's not going to accept the result and would probably go to court. Which would stay order the results.

Am afraid about this bet right now because the election according to CNN is in favor of Trump opponent, hope this gambler understand the huge negative impact this will cause the families if eventually Trump fail to win the elections. Though Trump confidence gave me some reasons to believe he will win but on the news is on the favor of his opponent. How about the rigging which is likely to happen, he should have put this into consideration before placed such huge amount.

In this elections everything will be unclear and unknown until the very end. As for now it looks very tight run and everything is still possible.
Anyway, that was a very risky and brave bet, personally I wouldn't dare to do something like that. It would be very interesting to see the final outcome.
There are always bets on elections in many countries, it was also available in mine for the last elections but this is just not my cup of tea.
well the competition is so tight that all today's gamblers can't cover the results that can be viewed online, the presidential election is really thrilling and has a lot of drama, I can't imagine how depressed it is to bet so much money and the choice is not be a winner.

This has been considered the biggest political bet ever.

Quote
A British gambler has reportedly staked $5 million on President Trump winning Tuesday’s election — a wager believed to be the largest ever political bet.

The former banker used private bookmakers registered on the Caribbean island Curacao for the bet at odds of 37/20 — meaning he could get a $15 million payout, sources told The Sun.

That is a huge bet and taking into account the election in the US is going to be contested and even get to the US supreme court I do not know when he will have a chance to see his profits if any, Biden is currently leading the electoral vote but Trump is leading on several swing states and if he can keep the advantage then he will be reelected as the US president but I am sure that no matter the results there are going to be lawsuits and it is going to take weeks or months before we are actually completely sure about the results.

What I find interesting is that the stock market is doing well despite the controversy but it seems this is because the US senate is still going to be dominated by the republicans and Wall Street is not expecting to see a raise in taxes and they are happy with that enough to make the market grow for now.

Trump is to confident that he will the election that he will not accept defeat Biden should win magnanimously so he can shut down Trump, this is a very close fight and the swing states will be the deciding factor based on what I'm seeing here Biden is winning

US ELECTION RESULTS

But let's see after the votes from swing states comes but from what I've seen Biden will eventually win and the guy will lose his $15 million chance.

That was a great donation from that citizen, i'm sure every worker and even the CEO of the bookmaker will be forever grateful for such a thoughtful, generous donation.

All jokes aside, I feel like bookies should VVIP status to these type of donations/losing bettors, just to soften the devastating blow, yeah? 😂😭🤣 but that was probably a whale and 5 million is just pocket money for this person, who knows, maybe that wager was just a week of profits. Also, i wonder if this person placed a hedge on Biden to win, if they were smart they probably did given the massive swings in the odds

Not happening. First of all, I think that Biden is going to win, so I'm sorry that such a huge bet is going to be wasted. However, I admit that it's still too early to say. Which brings me to the second point, related to the phrase I marked in bold. In the US, the elections don't work like they do in almost all other countries. A candidate can lose the popular vote, but become the President because of the electoral college system. And thus in many countries it's fairly certain who's going to be the President based on the exit polls, for instance (this is the case in my country), because these can predict with high accuracy who wins the popular vote. But it's different in the US, and the votes gotta be counted, and the electorals gotta vote before you can really know. Not to mention that the win is sometimes by a very low margin. Adding to this the fact that more people than ever voted by mail this year, and their votes will take more time to be counted, I think it's not realistic that the results will be available today or tomorrow. It's more like a matter of a week or two, realistically speaking.
I also placed a bet on the elections (not a big one), and I'm also wondering when will the bet be settled (based on the total vote count or the likeliest winner at some point).

As of now, votes in 41 states out of 50 states has be counted, and Biden is still leading. Out of 270 points needed to win, Biden at 224 while Trump at 213. The election has seemed unpredicted right from the start, and who to win is not yet known. But, with the look of things, likely Biden could win but still unknown for now.

It's likely he saw the same pattern as the 2016 presidential election, so he decided to bet on Trump (or maybe he was just a true Trump supporter). The wager was enormous, but if Trump comes out as the winner, then this person will get 15M.

The closer to the election day, more and more people are betting on Trump and supporting Trump, even though the pattern is the same as the 2016 election but it does not mean it will produce the same results.
I agree. The possibilities are equal for each candidate. Both of them have performed very well. Its still a mystery to me that people have waited until this day to make a bet on Trump which makes the house decrease the odd sharply.

This is a tough year since there is a delay during the election so that we can not see who will be the next president today. I don't know how long we have to wait. I'm so excited about this event and I'm impatient to know who will be the next most powerful man on the Earth

In general?

It seems many has been expecting Trump will win (including me -  got my bet on him on exbet  LoL)
In my own perception this might be like the past election... where it has been fairly cooked IMO.

Aaand it is probably gone.

You cannot win when the game is rigged.

130k+ ballots for Biden in Wisconsin&Michiganand not even 1 for Trump?

There will be some serious shit after this. I hope you all have your guns and ammo ready.

In my opinion, this is a coup.

It's part of consequences for betting on trump so it's either he will bag happily with his winnings or cry out loud for being a loser with trump.

But I think that amount is what the bettor can afford to lose since there's no insane guy will place all of his wealth for betting on a candidate which have 50-50 chances.

You cant tell because there are people who would really make out those all-in bets when it comes to their assets and all financial.I dont know what kind of mindset do someone had but
its plausible for such actions $5M bet? thats totally a huge bet and for sure that guy is on cold sweat at the moment yet Biden is on lead and the counting is still on.

With that kind of big amount bet then you'll surely have the chills when seeing that the opponent is leading even with that 1% but well its too early to conclude but
im presuming that Biden would really get this one.

Good luck to that bettor who did really make that huge bet on Trump and of course this man isnt really just a typical or ordinary man.  Cheesy

In general?

It seems many has been expecting Trump will win (including me -  got my bet on him on exbet  LoL)
In my own perception this might be like the past election... where it has been fairly cooked IMO.

Haha of course in general. You can expect too much from them. Each has his own paths and definitely, they will control the world for the next 4 years. No matter what the result is, I strongly believe that the next president will change the world with his own will.

Speaking personally, Trump is my choice. And also, I don't like being waited for such a big event like this. Although this does not violate the rule, they must do something to finish calculating votes.

Seeing that spike then i can say that there would be some huge problem afterwards if Biden would take the spot.. I feel sorry for the $5M bet though.
Im not really that interested when it comes to politics but just like on the past about picking up some presidential bets i do able to win up when Trump
do nail it but i doubt that he would able to extent out his position.

That's a big wow for this gambler upon making $5m just for Trump, but what's gonna happen when his president bet won't able to make it in the end? This is really a problematic scenario if it will be a frustrating situation for him. Imagining that huge amount betting for just one glance of win or loss, I think the nightmare might affect him at worst. However, when Trump comes out as winner then celebration is on its way for him tremendously.
