Which do you think is best for a new project and why?

ICO - initial coin offering
IEO - initial Exchange offering
IDO - initial Dex offering
STO - Secority token offering

IEO is always the best for me because infinity I can be sure that they will not scam and will enter the exchange market in the future. In addition, IEO of top exchanges are always the best such as like binance, kucoin. So you should participate in all these IEO because the amount of risk is to low.

i'm only familiar with the ICO and IEO the rest is my first time reading those terms. but in my opinion the IEO for now is a good one since there's an assurance that it will be listed on the market though there are some notable projects that use an ICO before maybe because the IEO is not existing at that point.

ICO is now not much interested because of the scam that continued to be rampant before and finally drowned because no one could raise funds from the ICO pre-sale.

Now many that have sprung up with DeFi IEO are now rarely found anymore because DeFi has taken over the crypto market somehow people believe so much in the new DeFi even though there is no better concept after I know?

Only moments and trends when the hype is tempted by people and wants faster profits, I will not enter this situation because for me this is a big risk.

I agree some IEO listed on top exchanges are tradable in the future, so for bounty hunters they can exchange the coin and withdraw the money.

But don't forget the price wouldn't 100% same as expectation, some project usually give crazy speculation and great promise like "the coin will be worth around $50 when listed on Binance!"

The reality the coin only worth less than $1 and become worthless. This is also be marked as scam too IMO.

ieo is the safest one for sure. if you participate to an ieo in binance platform or other big exchanges, you have a guarantee that it will be listed there.
Ofcourse you can still loose so much money, but the possibility of being scammed is very low.

I think IEO since I've experienced before that some ICO wasn't able at least to list their coin on some exchange unlike the IEO you would be able to know which exchange they will be listed so users would already know if it will be listed on some unknown exchange or to some reputable exchange.

I have participated in ICOs and IEOs both I have tried, but ICOs were sensational in their time, to be precise, early 2017-2018, and now the safest and in my opinion the most recommended is IEO, but to participate in IEO you have to be a holder or a foreclosure tokens / coins for sale

I have participated in so many kinds of these fundraising methods in the crypto but i can say that IEO and ICO are the best. I never heard another method like STO and IDO have become a successful project. I never heard that happened.
As far as i know, if almost all of the projects that used STO and IDO have ended as exit scam projects.
This time IEO is a bit better compared with ICO but both were definitely the same as IEO was ICO that was getting supported by the exchange site to get special privilege for instant listing.
ICO and IEO are the best for fundraising methods in the crypto industry.

IEOs, more specifically IEOs on major exchanges. ICOs were the past, when they started they were great but scams were quick to accompany.  IEO has the quality assurance from the exchange, it overcomes disadvantages of ICO.

I would prefer IEO over the other methods because it’s a guarantee that the token will be listed in that exchange after the campaign (regardless if it’s gonna pump or dump after that). However, not all IEO platforms are reliable and trusted. As for ICOs, most of them are scams and can easily run away with our hard earned funds. But with IEO, they can’t do that because they are forced to deposit tokens that will be on sale, pay the IEO fee plus commission from the exchange (unless the IEO launchpad does).

You already said it, ieo is much better than the rest and appears to be more secure from the way it is conducted through the exchange although that those not rule out any possible foul play, but since the end of ico and many turned to be a major scam, ieo seem to be the better option and as for sto and ido, i think many people don't like sto because of the very reason they are security tokens and there are some rules surrounding them, ido on the other hand i am not familiar with and i don't know if they have had any success, i have not come across a project doing ido so can't really say much.

I also like IEO, it has certainly brought significant profits, moreover I think IEO is being supported by the exchange behind so we can rest assured about the project taking money and 'exit' .

But a few things I wonder, here we have many forms to invest, mostly known through blockchain and the risk of participating is there, but the profit is also higher. If we have an investment already, make sure you will be happy if that money can be lost .

IEO is the most preferable if you're after your invested project to be listed on an exchange but not the best when profitability is concerned although most of those crowdfunding avenue you speak of are outdated as in they don't offer much development to the industry, still when they were at their peak. ICO would had been the best you can invest in as its profit returns were out of this world. Now I think none would I recommend as they're all just money making medium instead of them to be a great way to introduce new coins to the industry.

Although most of the project listed their token or IEO to some shitty exchange I think it is the best second is the ICO which is the most known before the IEO I think IEO gives an assurance to the investors that the coin will be listed and would give them a peace of mind.

IEO ( initial exchange offering ) is the best, don't even start with STO because there is no single STO project that turned out well, they are fade away pretty fast, some don't even lasted for a whole year, it's easy to see how IEO became successful and lasted this long, that's because of top centralized exchanges

So far I haven't seen failed IEO projects from top exchanges, they always bring good profits to investors, you can only lose out if you hold the tokens or coin and price dump few weeks or months later, IEO from exchanges like binance, okex, gate.io etc gives investors more confidence than ICO or other

ICO and IEO available on utility tokens/coins. STO not available in utility token. STO is available in security token. IEO and STO probably same. Just deferent name for deferent type.

If I look at the four fundraising models that you have presented, only two models have experienced a good trend and have had a lot of positive responses from everyone, they are ICOs and IEOs, so I think ICO and IEO are still good to be used. used by project developers, but there must be a newer polish for both of them, so that they look attractive and are easily liked by investors later.
