Newbie but not Beginners club is self-oriented I want all the newbies to understand how the forum operates in other not to join the Newbie but not Beginners club.In this forum, everyone is a ghost no brothers or sisters here, there are several clubs on this forum and for safety reason look for one and join and be relevant they don't accommodate laziness but your security and support are guaranteed, most of those elite members are merits source.

Who are merit sources?
These are individual among us who applied and were selected by the Global Moderator(thymos)after so many screening, these are people with a good reputation on the forum , they are good posters, smerits are generated and shared to them to distribute to post they found fit but mind you most of these merit source dont distribute merits they allow it to decay if you ask me why I don't know.

Volunteer ghost workers
These set of people don't contribute any thing to the forum they feed on others to gain favour and merits they are responsible for most of the banned accounts they go through all posts on the forum not reading but looking for flukes taking advantage of your mistakes then report your account to board moderators and get you to ban while they receive merits and level up. They don't comment, they don't post, they don't consider they feed on you to survive and gain favor.

No Second Chance.
This forum doesn't tolerate nonsense they only accommodate heroes and not losers, they only want the best from you and expect you to win-win-win the day you lost any battle you are out, several good posters dedicate their lives to this forum who had thousands of good and constructive posts over the years but were kicked out for plagiarism, they had 1k good posts and 1 bad post and were send packing no second chance so you must be at your best no fluke only 100% accepted here.

Do not beg for merit here it's highly prohibited and don't send an unnecessary PM it might get you kicked out remember here is no friend zone everybody is on the watch and don't abuse any high profile users to avoid red flags. Be positive you are on the right forum but be extremely careful don't make the mistake of some Newbie but not Beginners members made.

Why would someone advertise and have to wait for short to long time depending on when the person was chosen, just to be a merit source and the person is not paid to do so, this same person can have one-many other things doing in the life outside the forum but accepts that position to serve/work-for the forum for free as a merit source all just for the person to watch smerit allocated to them decay! Thats such a mis-leading lie, if they are merit sources and get smerit the are to give it out not quality and not just because they have it, if you work your ass they would find you.

Firstly, theymos is the forum administrator, not the global mod.
About smerit for sources, I do not think most of them fail to use up their stash, some do due to inactivity or failure to find enough merit worthy posts which meets their criteria.

The forum does not expect anyone to be a hero (whatever that is in this context), there are just a set of rules which guides the activity on the forum, and failure to keep to those rules attracts some level of punishment. Asides this, the forum is designed to be as free as possible and to accommodate the various interests of members.
Some members have gotten permanent bans reduced to signature bans on the merit of their overall contribution to the forum, so that counts for something.

Merit sources like most other users have boards they frequent, and they are appointed on this basis. A source who is active on a couple of boards would majorly distribute merits there, you wouldn't expect them to venture into sections they have little knowledge of as they would not be able to discern which post is quality and which is not.
Also quality is subjective, if you find 50-100 good posts per hour you can report then here - [self-moderated] Report unmerited good posts to Merit Source.

If you're going to make this accusation, you should show some sort of proof, otherwise it's just baseless trolling.

Haha. This is a confession. And I just fit your description. Very "friendly", I can say you relate to those who clean the forum from cheaters.
On the other hand, I read notes of resentment in your text. What does it mean that someone looks for a violation is working for merit? One gets the impression that this is not your first forum account.
In any case, you post several posts in a row. This is a sign that you are not familiar with the rules and have not read them. To avoid further misunderstandings, first, study the rules of the forum.

The amazing thing here is that you registered on this forum yesterday but you know a whole lot about the forum. This is either an alt account which will be banned soon or your judgement is based on what you've heard. I've seen a topic about merit sources who are not giving merits because they are inactive for unknown reason which can be expected. You sound very angry though and you posting messages in a row is also a violation

On the tone of Merit Sources, not all of them applied to become one though; some were appointed probably based on their reputation (this is a multidimensional concept) at the time, and a believe that they would constitute a decent enough Source.
Merit Source sMerit does not really decay, but rather it will not exceed a certain amount, which is variable per Source. It’s a bit tricky to understand, but the (very) basic idea is that if your bucket is full, you don’t get any more until it’s not full.

Merit Sources, surprisingly, are not bots, and have a live, and perhaps even a job to attend to. Therefore, their time of the forum is voluntary, and limited, subject to their real life day to day needs. This will lead to periods of time when they can be more active or less active, and may even cease their sMerit awarding activity. There are even streaks of day’s where some are not in a meriting mood, and others where they become exceedingly generous. Why they are not forcefully strapped to their keyboard, and given a periodic 220V discharge on their noble zone, until they empty their sMerit allowance, beats me.

Fortunately, the forum does oversee is someway their awarding habits, and every now and then, readjusts Merit Source’s sMerit allowance, increasing or decreasing it based on their awarding habits. Others may be appointed and some even removed. This is not a task that takes place frequently, but it does occur (not as often as even some Merit Sources would like).

Well said but I'm not against volunteer ghost workers doing the so-called cleaning job my only problem is injustice I'm advocating for equal justice cause I don't see a reason why for example two users committed the same offense one is permanently banned why the other gets a signature ban only. I wonder why and sometimes I feel we should allow thymos and his staffs to do their job they are professionals with a good reputation

Your knowledge is much more than it should be for a beginner. But again, what's stopping you from becoming a useful forum member? Your claims have some subtext. If there is a violation of the rules of the forum, and a person is banned, then he can file an appeal. And only moderators have the right to decide his future fate.
But admit that most of those who are banned on the forum are only concerned with personal problems. And that is, they publish obvious nonsense, bounty reports, spam, or plagiarism. Are they useful posters?
Therefore, while you have not yet inherited your past mistakes, pull yourself together, and start writing worthy posts, and by doing so, merit-sources will pay attention to you. Do not doubt.

it was obvious that this system would not be good, this forum has hundreds of members, but it has few SMerits, with this system, it practically condemns new members even if they stay for years on the forum and make a good post they will not up ranking... Is a failed system just like my country's failed democratic system. But unfortunately it's the system that we have that will never change, at least I don't expect to see any change someday

unfortunately this Is another bad side of the forum ... I agree that people should have second and third chances

4 years ago it was much worse than nowadays, the "political"  disputes to become DT or remove some DT were constant, look at the scam and reputation sections that you will understand, in the threads of the battles few or no Newbie dared to make any post. Today the battles are no longer about honor and politics to become DT or remove some DT, today it is about marketing to earn merits.

Just so you know to become a merit source, you don't need to be a good poster and you will be selected as a merit source if you know what post should be merited and not just send merit here send merit there even if the post is not worthy to read or send merit at all.

It is contradicting each other. A poster can not asses which post is good or bad to send or not send smerit to if that poster can not be able to make good posts. You can not assess post quality is good if you are shitposter. A bounty reporter can not understand a good post and can not verify quality of it.

A merit source does not need to be an active poster but must be a good poster before has a role as a merit source.

That's the problem when people are getting reported or doing something wrong in this forum, the common excuse that they are using is that they are not informed about the rules and regulations here in this forum. There's a lot of thread regarding that and this is one of the examples here, but still, they are lazy enough to read a lot of guides. These threads are the keys to help eliminate ignorance in this forum and help to keep your performance in making informative posts much better.

Bitcointalk rules are not taught in high school it's everywhere on the forum and does not need 1-2 years to know it unless the person is having a brain trauma it took me 30 mins to explore the forum, took me 20 mins to detect all the Volunteer ghost workers department, took me 10mins to know how the clubs in the forum their leaders and their members.

I am not going to say what the OP said was 100% true and I would not say that it was 100% wrong either. I will only think of it as a perspective that is known from experience, observation and so on. You are really not a newbie, because you have the ability to talk more than just that.

I am aware that all bitcointalk user are those who are governed by the system, and the rule that apply. The goal is to achieve the final target better as expected. No system is perfect and that is normal for all system because not everyone has the same perspective. The prevailing system doesn't work for us but we have to work under the system and this is called loyalty. When you and I can work well under a system, then we will be useful user with a lot of knowledge.

But one thing you have to realize here is that everyone involved in forums is human, and nobody is perfect and we all have our own egos. If you find something wrong with the system as well as the user running the system then use a reputation board for a much better answer and provide some concrete evidence that it is the wrong thing.

Well, then let's see how all the rules are understood and learned. As your experience seems to come from the number of mistakes you have made. I have not met such an experienced newbie here who, in the fifth publication, expressed his opinion on the merit system and gave a short description of everyone whom he does not like.
Nevertheless, I like you because you do not ask for merit and say what you think. Sometimes it’s much better than looking very humble when you’re feeling hurt.
