Imagine winning a big jackpot and they asked for you to conduct KYC but they are not licensed.

If you are a gambler  then you should be ready for this scenario. For me a jackpot that is worth my KYC then i would do it but you have to do your thing first before this scenario happens in your life, look for an online casino which have license and not with the unlicensed one and better yet don't break their rules.

The safest way is to avoid using gambling casinos without a license, especially if it is true that gambling casinos require KYC procedures.
Because there are still many licensed and trusted gambling casinos for us to use. If it is related to personal data, don't underestimate it,
because if it turns out that our personal data is used for negative things or being traded that's bad things for us.

if winning a jackpot requires a kyc before withdrawals they should put that on their rules because that is important to know . gamblers wont burn money in the hopes of snatching that jackpot if in the end they cant still get thier winnings but the biggest question that arises is why will they suddenly require a kyc when they are not legal .

is that only an excuse to not give away the jackpots . if your asking if i trust illegal casinos well no i dont support them but i always play on the verified casinos because i feel that they wont cheat on me .

Really hard to decide especially when you hear suspicious about them. And that giving your personal identities will be the ticket to receive your winnings but the question is how they are true with that? Are really they going to send it after completely doing KYC?
The consequences are might quite harsh but we aren't able to know it if we are not doing this. So there is a need to sacrifice.

That is why casinos don't ask KYC for deposits, only big withdrawal requests over $1000 requires a KYC. Legal and regulated casinos should be able to ask the account verification in all cases no matter what turnover the gambler has but suspicious activities or accusations about bonus abusing can accelerate this process. The sudden KYC requirement is acceptable if there is no reason to blame the casino for this request.

Some of the Gambling casinos I've seen are requiring its user to conduct a KYC (not mandatory but they said there's a chance or something) however my concern is that the gambling casino is not licensed are you going to trust this or not? Imagine winning a big jackpot and they asked for you to conduct KYC but they are not licensed.

First of all, why would you play and deposit money in an unlicensed casino?
That alone is an identification of an untrusted website.
"It's better safe than be sorry on the latter, " as everyone says.
This doesn't make any sense. The obvious answer to this is, you'll going to end up being scammed and compromise your vital information that could be used to transact illegal online businesses over the internet.

TBH, if the amount worth risk the personal details there is nothing wrong going for it unless the online casino is a proven scam. The idea is to verify the account, after getting the funds changing the data on personal documents is not impossible. After editing the passport data, the sent documents will be useless for selling on the darknet or for doing shady things, IMHO.
No amount is worth your identity. You are just selling your identity to a said amount that you can withdraw if you did the KYC. Yes some minor information can be changed but the house address on your identification documents can't be change so quickly.
It is still not advisable for us to just do KYC specially on unlicensed website. Me I never did a single KYC no matter how much money is involve in it. Its just not worth the risk for me.

Nothing is valuable than my personal information, I will give up on that prize instead of sending my documents to the scammers. It is possible too, the scam gambling website will confiscate the winnings and use my documents for cheating other people. The scammers have no limit and they can do anything for making money, my final opinion is to avoid sharing docs with thieves. There is no need to worry about the KYC if the regulated organizations control the casino because in all cases our sent data will be regulated with the GDPR. GDPR is for the EU area but I am sure there are similar customer rights protection rules for the rest of world countries.

I don't think I will if it's not, a licensed gambling casino, if a gambling site is regulated they will abide by the authorities rules of confidentiality of their user's information, something that you cannot say on unlicensed casinos even if the gambling casino is reputable, some gambling casinos are asking verification if you've won a big amount to make sure that you are compliant and you are of the right age.

If it happens, then it is not their mistake, but your mistake. Why do you choose unlicensed casinos to gamble?
It is a fundamental mistake, mate. There are too many licensed casinos and even popular casinos, you shouldn't choose the unlicensed one. I assume you are not a newcomer or beginner as you stated "Some of the Gambling casinos I've seen", it means you know well about casinos. If you make a fundamental mistake it is not because you have less knowledge but you are careless.

Unlicensed only means they can't comply with the proper regulations of a gambling website, maybe their platform is illegal or they have something bad doing to their customers. I wouldn't even try to gamble on those sites even if they have some good promotions or bonuses. I'm pretty sure they have something fishy to do that's why they are asking for KYC.

Maybe you should avoid gambling casinos that are not licensed, there is a high possibility that your identity may be used for some purposes and your funds will not be safe, most of the casino that does not requires KYC do not require KYC as well when you are going to do withdrawal or deposit, so you better doubt that casino gambling, anyway, can you tell us the name of that casino gambling so we may become aware as well and avoid that casino. There are many licensed casino gambling, just leave the casino that has no license and focus on the legit one.

I do not know if I will risk my identity just to get the prizes if they suddenly require me a KYC. I think I will not get the prize even though it is a big amount of money because for me identity should be protected and there is a big possibility that it will give me problems in the near future. We do not know what they are doing with our identity and it is the reason why we should avoid uploading any personal documents. I want to protect my identity not only in trading but also in gambling, I will never open an account in a gambling site that requiring their customers to verify their identity. Choosing a good casino is not hard as people thinks but you need to allocate hours of researching in order to verify if it is a legit one or not. I do not know if there are gamblers out there who prefer to use casinos that requiring KYC, for sure we have same mindset and we want to protect our identity.

If they are not licensed they probably do not have any legal basis for asking for a KYC. KYC is a legal requirement by authorities to counter money laundering, terrorist financing, etc. If a gambling casino is not legally obliged to gather personal information from their customers, why would they require it from them? I will definitely stay away from this kind of casino. This action is shady and therefore a red flag to me.

There are a lot of gambling casinos which do not require KYC. Although there is also an advantage of doing such, but I still prefer not to give out my personal infos especially with unsured online platforms.

Anyhow, somr online casinos guaranteed you have a secured account if you do KYC. I know someone which has a high VIP level and sold his account to the other user. The receiver did not know that the owner did some KYC in hid accou t and scam the receiver and manage to get back his own account by confirming that it was his own account and made a statement to the support that his account was hacked but the real truth was he sell it.

See? They can either do something with that KYC and I am not really into that thing ever since  even in trusted and established online gambling sites.

If you are in doubt then don't Engaged just a simple rule

because it is you that will be in issue so better avoid since there are licensed and legit sites that normally don't ask for KYC there is no need to Out your self in doubt and trouble.

And besides we have tons of gambling sites why bother for those that seems not trusted for you?

To make it simple if you are not comfortable providing your credentials on any platform don't use it. There are a lot of gambling platforms out there that are trusted and licensed where KYC is mandatory and for increased deposit/withdrawal purposes. Privacy always comes first, the risk of having an unlicensed platform handling your personal details is high.

Usually, gamblers don’t want to know their identity. And for those gamblers, it may avoid gambling platfrom requiring KYC,
(if there is still a gambling platform that does not use KYC, usually they will switch here). But back again to each gambler,
KYC on the gambling platform it needs or not? But when compared to gambling platforms that do not require KYC for their users,
surely it will crowd the platform with visitors. Actually, KYC for any platform is no problem, also for gambling platforms.
If there are users who want to cooperate with that platform. The owner may determine the best for their platform.

I also want to add that if you can, go to a physical casino, they do not care that much about personal information. You should know by now that Internet is a wild world rife of scams and cons, so you better get your guard up when doing transaction or putting personal information.

Well, if you can provide your identity and you want that money badly (I guess everyone would) then you should abide on them, I don't think they'll change their minds if they already asked for it. If I were you just gamble on crypto casinos that are proven by the community, has been proven trustworthy, and has lot of good reviews and we can find it here.

If you're from the most restricted country on gambling better if you first read the casino's TOS before doing some deposits and playing mostly this scenario do happen. If you don't prefer an unlicensed casino then it's best to avoid it before worst case scenario may happen like what you assume.
