KYC on gambling casinos

Some of the Gambling casinos I've seen are requiring its user to conduct a KYC (not mandatory but they said there's a chance or something) however my concern is that the gambling casino is not licensed are you going to trust this or not? Imagine winning a big jackpot and they asked for you to conduct KYC but they are not licensed.

It will help us if you can name those gambling sites that ask for KYC, gamblers play and trust in gambling casinos that protect their identity, and they do not expect KYC as long as they playing fair if you won a big jackpot and you are playing fair there's no need to undergo KYC they will only ask it for verification that you are not breaking rules and it should be on a gambling site that as a good reputation.

In recent time we have too many cases just of this because mostly users trying to cheat system and casino's ask for this and sometime in case of big wins they ask for this all but if any reputable and licsenced casino asking this all for then I have no problem becaue I will feel secure and good and for any casino which is not completing his own requirements then this can create problems.

KYC in gambling online? Well, if ever they will require this to all of their players I won't submit any of my documents.
But as long as I can able to play using their gambling site I will continue to play of course! Although, I do agreed with you that most of them
are not licensed.

I don't see any problem with KYC as long as the casino is licensed I understand that it is mandatory that they would ask a player to provide information since they are regulated but for me I don't think it's safe to give to unlicensed casino your personal details.

We don't know if they are illegal or legal because if they have a license for their casino, they are legal, and their members need to do KYC. But we have many casinos that don't require KYC for their members, so we can search for that casino and join them. We don't know what their reason to do KYC if they don't license their business. But to be clear, we don't need to use them to be the place to playing gambling.

Very funny for those non license casino house who are asking for KYC, they are not tied to any law as they don't have any license
at all so why bother to ask the customers?

No sense as they needed to verified because there's money laundering something as they are not catered by that particular law
unless they provide the license as the right to implement such rules.

I'd not use any sort of online casinos that are not licensed and that have the terms where they could ask for KYC.
KYC is needed for license casinos to stay safe in case the government of USA asks information about the individual gambling on the site. If they are not licensed, they are not legal in the US and they would face legal issues themselves in the government got interested in them.
As of KYC as I already said, every licensed casino are obliged to enforce KYC if asked to.

That's a tricky one. You won a big amount but you need to provide KYC and the gambling website is unlicensed I think you are in a risky position here's what might happen:

1. You give KYC and they give you the money (Good)
2. You give KYC and they didn't pay you (Bad) - They may use your personal information.
3. You don't give KYC, they cancel your winnings.

If you are doubting, then why would you give your information to an unlicensed casino? I think it's simple as that since you also doubt the safety of your information. So just like what others said, it's better to avoid those kinds of casinos and there are lots of casinos that don't ask for KYC, so if you don't like this kind of requirement especially for unlicensed casinos, look for other casinos.

They are going to lose their reputation if they are going to ask KYC if a gambler just registered, they usually asked this if you've won a big amount, and they think you are violating one of their rules on their terms of services, you have no choice but to undergo to keep that amount
, I don't like this practice because many gamblers wants to keep their privacy, they are playing here to protect their identity, this is one instance where the gambler is held hostage and I have seen it happens many times.
But some reputable gambling site do not do this even if the amount is huge, they just ban cheaters and do not ask them to undergo KYC.

If it's not a licensed gambling casino, there's no way I would trust my KYC information. And I think only the licensed gambling casino would require KYC because the government required them to do it to their users. If you win a big jackpot, and they required you to conduct KYC, then it's time to rethink if you should trust your KYC. My only advice is to switch to another gambling website that has a license already.

In my experience, I have not seen or encountered any gambling casino that requires KYC. If ever that you encountered one, please make a background check of that casino. It is much better if you will avoid them and prevent yourself from submitting any of your information. Most of the online gambling casino respects the anonymous identity of their users, they did not require them to submit an ID but they will require you to input email address for verification.

Agree. We shouldn't give our trust to anyone most especially if you are going to play in an online gambling site. If we give our trust and personal information to a gambling site there are chances that we it may cause problems. And also our personal information may use in a scam or what and if you gonna ask me, it can be use in as a fake identity. Instead of earning you gain problems not money.

Me either, I think KYC is not applicable to casinos and any other gambling site, if the gambler doesn't want to let other know his identity then its okay, and even if it is needed? I will not give any ID for KYC even in trading if the exchange requires me to pass kyc for me to be able to withdraw I rather not register with that. Sending kyc is risky, and also as far as I know it is not needed in this industry.

When you play on a casino whose terms and conditions say that they might ask for ID proofs then it is always better to check their license and make bets with a clear thought that I might be asked to provide my identity proof anytime I win big or get lucky. So if that's ok for you then continue betting else switch to a new casino that either doesn't ask for ID proofs or is licensed and you feel safe providing them with your identity proof.

I haven't been asked to provide my identity yet from any casino or even sportsbooks but I am well ready and prepared to provide them the day and moment they ask me because I make bets only on reputed sites and I know they won't misuse or misplace my documents.

Gambling and KYC should never be hand in hand when we are talking about doing something illegal and then notifying government for it.

KYC was suppose to be "know your customer" as in if there is someone who is wanted or did something illegal, government should know about it, how will government know about it? Each KYC goes through some software and if there is nothing wrong with you, they don't care about you, but if you are wanted for a reason you will be caught, same principle as giving your ID in a hotel.

However in gambling, many of us are not doing it legally, it is not highly illegal neither, maybe you won't face any troubles, but surely it is not fully legal neither, so when you give your KYC to a casino, that is literally telling the world I did something wrong and catch me for it, I rather not.
