Damn, I was tense the whole game, and I felt pretty confident in the position of the chip leader .. and when there were three of us left I had 240k chips you had 80k each .. And literally 3 minutes after I gave you half of the stack with a pair of kings,

It was a three way play and having AJ is pretty premium on that point especially when you are the short stack so without even thinking much, I shove immediately thinking that I might be having the best hand but I was shocked when you had pocket Kings. It was a lucky flip for me, you are still a much better player than I am

By the way, someone can explain why Betnomi make an extended prize pool, and then take a commission?

Which commission are we talking about? I received full $300 for the 2nd place prize and the others should be receiving the exact same amount as the payout page stated

First of all, congratulations to @Betwrong on winning the final! You were the point-leader after qualifiers and deservedly won the tournament. Congratz to @arallmuus, @icopress, @FOMA and @Steamtyme for finishing in ITM.

UPDATE ON BETTING MARKET

I hope everyone liked the concept of betting market. From the stats it pretty evident though, 19 users participated and 59 bets were made in total. This was more than the response I expected. Among 59 bets, 7 were made on Betwrong. I have settled all the bets and you can see the updated winnings reflecting in your account now. The biggest winner is @icopress. Well I can say that I didn't have nice cards, and on top of that my "careful and passive approach" didn't have results! I was waiting cards to change and to start getting some good cards and something to hope for... well bad cards, bad play, it's why I finished on 8 place!

I hope we will play again guys! Waiting for updates about the next series, I wish to take that first place in the grand finale one more time!

As a matter of fact, I was hoping for such a reaction, so I made a small raise .. and until the last moment I thought that this hand was in my pocket. Although I would not dare to play all-in with such a card, honestly speaking, even at the early stage of the game I fold such cards ^{[A9, A8, A7, A6]} (if I am not in the blind or if the cards are not suited). And your words about me, I think, are significantly exaggerated...

It wasnt, it was a sincere expression but Im sure I will get a better read on how you play your hand on the next series. Watch out for it

Probably it was just a visual error because of currency differences. It might shows up as 1000 euro / $1000 depending on your account's currency. It shows up as 1000 euro on mine but it paid out as $1000 instead . On your case it could probably 1000 euro but shows up as $1250~  but actually was $1000

Thank you for all your congratulations, guys!    Your words are really important to me. It's one thing if you win and seeing no congrats think everybody's mad at you for some reason; and it's entirely another, when you see your competitors are actually glad for your success.

At the early stage I was folding such cards too if there was a significant raise, let alone all-in. ... Overall, I have an impression that in the last Series most of the participants were playing more cautiously than before. Am I right? I personally prefer this way of playing to constant preflop raising by aggressive players, which  often happens in other tournaments.

Sorry no longer affiliated with Betnomi. No issues they just allocated their resources differently. Pretty sure this was brought up with them in the past, as well as other suggestions I had to improve their poker client. I think these changes are more difficult for them to implement as they have to deal with the game provider and/or were less priority. I never really got the full scope of who can and does what, but the only change I saw was the tournament dollars bankroll.

I talked with the owner today and he said whenever I am ready to start he will get it going for us. I was thinking the 24th would be game 1 of new series, but also wanted to figure everything out before I posted the new series.

Im willing to pay for the extra buyin in case we agreed to do so but the internal transfer feature is still having issue with the currency differences. Another alternative is to use btc but some people might want to hold their btc during this bullrun.

Basically 9 players that made it to the Grand Finale probably get into ITM during the qualifiers, few probably get profit during those qualifiers while most probably close to break even . I hope this was a mutual decision .. As for the tournament dollars, I tried to test but in vain (I tried to cancel registration in one of the tournaments, thinking that the funds will be credited to the bonus account).

Basically 9 players that made it to the Grand Finale probably get into ITM during the qualifiers, few probably get profit during those qualifiers while most probably close to break even . So even if the prize gets lowered, I think its still good as long as there are still prizes on the Grand Finale and Runner up Finale

If we make additional buy-ins, then we will need to decide on the number of qualifying games, given that some can make 8 contributions, and some only 3, and also get to the final table. Perhaps everyone who expects to reach the final should just make a one-time payment? 5 * 8 (No matter how many games you play in a poker series).

The issue with bundle payment is that it might drive some new player off. The issue that we have right now is the number of player participating in the series is low compared to what Betnomi offered as the Grand Finale Prizepool so if we can get some new blood in this series that means the issue will be solved by itself. If the series is held on swc, it will be easier to convince few regs to join the series but I dont think that most regs on Betnomi poker has bitcointalk account

Whenever it gets posted I'll play if I'm available. I like the buy-in what it's at, raising it I think does more to detract from new participants joining than assist with attracting anyone. As mutual as it can be. No hard feelings or anything. I was able to assist when they needed it on forum, and then once they had a better handle on their live support and telegram groups the additional forum support wasn't vital. Shame to hear about the tournament tickets. Hopefully they can integrate some of the suggestions into their poker client sooner rather than later, as there are things I can't get past to put in more volume there.

That was the BTC tournament on SWC, in this series we've only been doing the entry and it's FIAT based on Betnomi with a 15$ entry. We haven't run a side pool at all here for lottery or anything like that. I've preferred it this way. I can't even remember what it was at the time but I think it was still around 15 USD at that time depending on price.

same. when the idea originally arose i was hoping the side pool would increase engagement, but at this point i think it would be a deterrent. people just wanna buy in and play when they're available (me included), not do some convoluted prepaid side thing.

I think the purpose of this series is to spread awareness to people that Betnomi also has poker running on their website and also to get more players for the series. Well we get some new regulars like you and Teethow but lose some probably because some lose their interest to play but its all fair
