KYC on casinos are not even a thing, all they expect from you is money and yourself. The question is on how long we can wait until Bitcoin can be used in casinos. I think that question can only be answered once it is already used within supermarkets and many necessities that people need. Casinos are a higher tier of business so it would take a longer time for them to study on what are the pros and cons of Bitcoin once they will be using it.
There are many possibilities that will happen about bitcoin adoption including in physical casinos. But it will only be good for payment system like exchanging bitcoin for chips or vice versa. The drawback may be the cost and risk of robbery and that should be an added consideration for gambler. Personally I don't like it and of course because of the risks that may occur as well as transaction fees and waiting time.

I think bitcoin adoption in physical casinos will be tough in the near future although it is possible that some of them do. But it will take a lot of time to see how many adoption are being made.

It will not take that long for sure especially to those casinos that freely accepts crypto currencies. Once the government of a certain landbase casino are not against in using crypto currencies then this will serve as a bridge for it to happen where we can enjoy using bitcoin or other crypto currencies in betting to a landbase casino.

Let's say that 2-5 years from now there will be few casinos that will announce this kind of news that they are already accepting bets in bitcoin to their landbase casinos.

Why pay with bitcoins in a place that is full of cameras? Why to be able to tie your bitcoin adress to your photo and you can identify the owner of the bitcoin  adress. Of course, if you agree to pass KYC on the stock exchanges or anywhere else, it is not a problem. But those people who want to be anonymous at the crypto market are unlikely to pay in an ordinary casino bitcoins.
If you are using Lightning Network it will be more complicated for them to track you, moreover you can use BTC tumblers to preserve your anonymity.
I hope there will be more adoption to come especially for gambling sites on lightning network, it would help to make transaction in an instant. however, I would like to comment on bitcoin and kYC, i think that is not necessary, casinos just have to issue a chips once you have already deposited in their bitcoin address, in fact ,when you go to the casino, you can enjoy gambling even them not knowing your real identity.
I think more adoption can come since Electrum has integrated Lightning Network to its wallet. Nobody has really talked about it but it has been a huge step for Lightning Network adoption IMO. So once all bugs will be fixed, I'm sure many gambling platforms will decide to offer it.

You started talking about mistakes yourself. In fact, I tried a couple of times to send transactions via Electrum using LN. I use Electrum quite often, but with lightning nodes it was not so easy to do it the first time. I doubt that in a casino someone in high spirits from alcohol will want to pick at the phone and connect the node, as well as configure and conduct a transaction. This is not convenient and much longer than buying chips for cash.

Yes you are right, it's not really convenient and smooth but don't forget Paypal is coming and it will offer BTC payments from smartphones thanks to Venmo.
So it can be a solution for brick and mortar casinos.

One of the reason why LN hadn't been adopted yet since there are still some problems or lacking into its development. It isn't really fully that suggested to be mainly used.
Lets wait up for this one to be developed and be finalized and we know on how this thing to be useful or revolutionary once it would be finalized.

For now then lets stick on whats the traditional crypto transactions which I don't see for it to be bad after all.

You will not have real bitcoins in PayPal's wallet. You will have a digital copy of bitcoin that you will not have direct access to. You will not have a private key or seed phrase. All you will have is access to the PayPal account. In addition, PayPal currently sells Bitcoins only in the United States.

For the moment... but Dan Schulman said they will bring Bitcoin to Venmo soon and allow payment in Bitcoin to merchants. I don't know if this will be true bitcoins you can withdraw, but Paypal will offer that soon.

Might be where already bitcoin is accepted widely in those counties, casinos as well can start accepting it.
It could be easy as scanning it to the counter to have some chips or anything that can be applied as we apply it today. But it all depends on the matter and potential that the casino sees as they accept bitcoin.
They are free to choose it and allow their bettors to use pay bitcoin for their credits while being inside the casino premises.

That day will come to the casino when they start to use bitcoin, but before they use bitcoin or integrate their system into bitcoin, they need to prepare many things that we don't know. I agree that it will be easy to scan the barcode to the house, and the gambler can get their crypto. When bitcoin is integrated into their system, that will not be just bitcoin that they will accept, but they will accept the other coins.

When a mass adoption happens in many countries, and the government allows the casino to use it too, that will be the time for bitcoin to reach more users that will use bitcoin as a payment system.

This idea can actually adopt right now if live casino want it it easy to bring your money using mobile than having it in cash  . Thats is also much secured compared to handing your money, but adding that option they should also prefer to give their players an option to widraw in winnings in Bitcoin incase they win there and want it to have it in Bitcoin .

This idea needs more consideration and time before it happens. We have been using different e-wallets and there are some online banking that can be use to transfer funds, this idea of scanning for payment in exchange for chips is the same as we currently have now. So, we have to think of why they would need to have bitcoin if they can even use fiat money to use the same method or without the need of bringing money.

As time passes, the usage areas of bitcoin will of course expand and grow. It is used in many areas of our lives, let's not think of it only for gambling games. If it attracts more and more attention, its usage areas will become more widespread.

I agree. Whenever it comes to crypto, people automatically imagines that it's either a currency only for gambling or holding/trading. There is an instinct value of Bitcoin and the blockchain technology which when is recognized will bring revolutions in many areas of the world including offline gambling casinos!

It will be much easier for every gamblers especially for online gamblers who are also gambling in the physical casino. They can use the same currency which is bitcoin to gamble everytime thet want. This is possible to happen if ever that the casino will see this as an opportunity to increase their cash in method when exchanging for chips.

BIG WINNER!

It will be much easier for every gamblers especially for online gamblers who are also gambling in the physical casino. They can use the same currency which is bitcoin to gamble everytime thet want. This is possible to happen if ever that the casino will see this as an opportunity to increase their cash in method when exchanging for chips.
It would become easier IF the casino was a crypto one (naturally, since they'd need to accept crypto only since they're called one) or once people actually lost the idea of using fiat to spend, which is impossible, at least now (or ever imo, at least in my entire lifetime). There's a use for accepting crypto in physical casinos, yes, but it isn't a necessity. In the first place, Bitcoin is used either to help you stay anonymous or to send it internationally without any issues, both of which aren't really helpful when playing in an online casino.

As time passes, the usage areas of bitcoin will of course expand and grow. It is used in many areas of our lives, let's not think of it only for gambling games. If it attracts more and more attention, its usage areas will become more widespread.
But if the said currency will be used in every gambling activities then this is a sign of how Good and useful this is right?

We are demanding of Bitcoin to be available in Buying Foods and Goods so being a gambling Money is a good indication How functional and legit this is.

Because gamblers has their own market ,and that is to spend large amount of money to sustain their activities.

What do you think?

I think we could see that when Bitcoin is available for offline transactions. I mean when Bitcoin offline transactions are widely used, because I've heard that there are actually people who can transact offline using Bitcoin.
But, the most possible thing for this scenario is to buy chips in the casino using Bitcoin or other alts.

What do you think?
There are some casino here on our country that is accepting bitcoin and exchanging it for a gambling coins. We can really use Bitcoin as payment for gambling coins but not to the point that Bitcoin is the one that we are going to get because it will be a lot of transaction that can make the Bitcoin traffic full. If they make something like that, all crypto gambler surely will go to that casino wherever they came from because it is like a heaven for them.

I think we could see that when Bitcoin is available for offline transactions. I mean when Bitcoin offline transactions are widely used, because I've heard that there are actually people who can transact offline using Bitcoin.

They have already offered to buy bitcoins to the US citizens. There is one drawback to this. You will buy bitcoins and they will be in your Paipal account. However, you will not have access to them with a private key. Only through Paipal's account. In this case, how will payment with such bitcoins be different from payment with fiat corrency?

It could be easy as scanning it to the counter to have some chips or anything that can be applied as we apply it today. But it all depends on the matter and potential that the casino sees as they accept bitcoin.
They are free to choose it and allow their bettors to use pay bitcoin for their credits while being inside the casino premises.
It will be much easier for every gamblers especially for online gamblers who are also gambling in the physical casino. They can use the same currency which is bitcoin to gamble everytime thet want. This is possible to happen if ever that the casino will see this as an opportunity to increase their cash in method when exchanging for chips.
For online gamblers, it's already enough because we're used to it. But for those physical gamblers, as I told, there will be a way for them to transact easier.

It's easy for their customers if they have that option. Yet, we'll never know the stand of a physical casino towards bitcoin.

It is happening already, isn't it? I have ever heard that there are some physical casinos accepts bitcoin as one of the payment method to buy the chips.
It is obvious that this is the only possible way since bitcoin is not a physical currency, so I doubt we will see casinos where gamblers play with physical bitcoin in the future.
IMO what we have now (online gambling industry) where we can play with bitcoin is more than enough. I have no reasons why it should be implemented on physical casinos since I will never be able to play on physical casinos Smiley
