Having their own bitcoin ATM at these casinos is a good start. Though right now, they can't use btc for betting but I think, they are not very far from trying out games that will accept bitcoin. As people are avoiding the use of cash as much as possible and many are already converting to digital payment, I believe these physical casinos will try to integrate bitcoin on some of their games. Will be seeing that in the next couple of years or so. But right now, business of online crypto casinos is booming. A lot of gamblers turn to online as most of them can't go to physical casinos or are still avoiding the crowd.

There's no such thing to say if we can sustain while we're still in the midst of pandemic, and though we earned sustainably from descent job that doesn't mean we're going to bet often. However if we find it comfortable to do it, then it's our virtue if choice but don't be addicted. Self control is very important in the first place, because if this becomes a habit I think worst cases might occur specially in our daily budget.

I think it's counter intuitive to gamble in real life with Crypto - by that I mean you can do so on any number of online gaming sites.  When you arrive at a Casino, people usually buy a drink (or even a meal) then exchange their fiat cash for poker chips which they then gamble with in the Casino.  It would be no different to using Crypto, I would imagine you would have to exchange it for in house poker chips (then chash out later).

You can buy chips using your Bitcoin but directly we still don't have that technology or it will be coming out in the future, actually the scenario in the Cryptocurrency gambling sites online is far better now than it used to be, we will soon step in the physical casinos as the adoption progresses, we never know, while we are discussing this right now a gambling casino is already planning this, it's not a remote possibility because Cryptocurrency is taking the cashless transaction, maybe a year or two from now we'll have a thread like this, that we can discuss.

Knowing that this is physical casino is what you are talking about means we need to have atleast physical item to bet on,not unless each casino houses will have machines that has scanning power so we can just pre scan our wallets and then we're ready to go.

Not really familiar with physical casinos that accept Bitcoin, but it shouldn't be long. Casinos should probably just wait till the pandemic blows over, and then they can start managing that feature of accepting crypto. Though it may take years, depending on how long casinos would actually need to make a comeback from the damages done by the pandemic. It is not yet possible for me and I still do not have an idea if that will happen, there is a possibility that it will happen but still it will take a lot of time because usually those traditional gamblers have still no idea on what is bitcoin and how to use it. its not an exploit  and its not illegal to do it because that is part of the volatility . we are already doing it  in online casinos although there is a limit for withdrawals and there are also fees. they can put the same rules in the physical casino if they will integrate crypto as payments  so that they wont end up a looser .

I think that the casinos at the moment are having a pretty hard time, and as soon as the new lockdown is lifted they will try to get back on track with their casinos. The business model is still great, so they don't need to look for new games. What is more important is getting the old gamblers back in the casinos and try to get players too in my opinion. During the pandemic many people started gambling online with bitcoins, so allowing the bitcoins now in the physical casinos too would be next step. This could be a good way for casinos to try and attract new gamblers.

It is a mystery because no one will know when it will happen since the casino in real life still uses fiat to buy the chips.
Maybe if one big casino can apply to use bitcoin and invite more gamblers to try, the other casino will try it too.
But to use bitcoin as the bets will need a basic lesson on using bitcoin because not all people out there will understand how to use it.

We have online crypto casinos where you deposit btc (or some alt) and you get your amount in dollars/euros! So it's nothing strange in my opinion, after some time you get used to it if you like to spend time there!

that could be easily solved by having a pre-paid casino card that you can top-up with our favorite currency, be it fiat, stablecoins or bitcoin/ethereum.

Yeah, but, in fact, the casinos from the article don't allow you to play with BTC. They accept BTC as payment for various services, and they do have Bitcoin ATMs on site, but you can't gamble directly with Bitcoin there.

Regarding the OP's question, it is possible that physical casinos will cease to exist soon because of the pandemic, so their accepting Bitcoin or not, will be irrelevant. It looks like everything will be going online more and more in the near future, and even after Corona will be taken care of, the re-opening will hardly start happening, because of the fear of another pandemic.

There are couple of things we should put in consideration in this industry before talking about this, some of which is: Bitcoin transactions, Bitcoin acceptability and Bitcoin fee. Betting Bitcoin on a real life casinos here are issues at this moment becasue of the aforementioned. Brick n Mortar casinos are a bit more complex, because most governments does not accept Bitcoin as a Currency. A lot of these countries define Bitcoin as a "Commodity" or an investment option, so it is difficult for these casinos to accept Bitcoin as a payment option, if it is not allowed by it's government.

Online casinos are mostly decentralized, although some are Centralised and most are real time-based casinos, not really crypto online gambling casinos so maybe there's a difference. Those gambling platforms are centralised under government's so their existence somehow makes an excuse. And since cryptos are also mostly decentralized, it's adoption to centralised establishments are still sketchy at this moment unless regulation will take place, which is more likely to occur in the future.

Hmm, to be fair I haven't seen any old fiat casino that started accepting of bitcoins. More likely, what I see online are crypto dedicated casinos. With a proper rules and preparation i think this confirmation time problem could be solved.
I mean there is third party service that can analyzed whether the transaction is safe from double spending pr any other malicious transactions etc , so it is something could be done.

In my country all the casino are closed at the moment. They will likely open next year again if the lockdown is being continued. So far the gamblers still need to pay with FIAT currency, you can pay with a master or visa card, so no need to bring cash. But unfortunately no crypto currencies are allowed. In my opinion this year pandemic changed the landscape a lot. Many new online casinos came out and a lot of people switched from the physical casinos to online casinos. As far as I know, there are some physical casinos that does accept some crypto currencies for playing in slots or few other games. At least over here. I have also heard that there are casinos where you can directly exchange bitcoin or crypto currencies for playing chips that you can use it for gambling inside the casino.

I think the technology for bitcoin ATM using the voice system is not ready yet because that needs more development. But I don't know if the ATM already uses that feature to minimize user contact by touching the ATM. Just my opinion, I find gambling using bitcoins as a waste. Bitcoins are precious resources that has the potential to double-triple its price in the unforeseeable future. As a metaphor, it is like your gambling away your stocks in casinos that have a very unreliable chance for you to win. I think that is possible because we know that bitcoin adaptation is visible to other areas of the country. One of the reason why LN hadn't been adopted yet since there are still some problems or lacking into its development.It isn't really fully that suggested to be mainly used.

I think that many people from this topic have never played in regular casinos and so it is not so important for them to pay there in Bitcoin or not. This is important in terms of the prestige of Bitcoin and its fame. The more places that will be accepted as payment for Bitcoin, the more popular it will be.
