And you may not find so much more. If you look deep at the crypto cryptomarket with more than 3000 cryptocurrencies, it's almost impossible to find 500 cryptocurrencies with real usecases. The great majority are bullshits developped to scam money from others. Some even think that ethereum is a scammy project who have been made just to create more shit tokens as there are still no real use in daily life of the smart-contracts.

Personally, i think eth and bnb are good coins and i may also add monero and grin.

I do not think that 500 alts even exist that fullfill all the criterias like practicality, use cases, massive supporters, excellent team, quality development, real world partnerships and market confidence. So its better to stay with the top ones like eth, xlm, ada, neo, ltc, waves and xrp.

It seems that the OP has typo error here. I don't think we can list the top 500 as we may not find those valuable 500 alts. But yes, top 5 is easier. Based on your top alts, why is btc missing? Or it is already considered to be the default choice? And if I may add, I will choose EOS and BNB as well. But will think about waves as they are quite poor in getting their community active. They can't even make a noise with their new waves.exchange. Seems to me that this platform is dying slowly.

I think your question is a bit flawed, let me explain why. The best way IMO to make money in crypto is to invest in projects outside of the top 500, projects that haven't increased in value yet. What you are basically saying is that only the top 500 projects by marketcap have any use case, this is wrong. There are a lot of dead chains and tokens with ponzi economics with no utility in the top 50 CMC. I suggest looking at new projects listings on CMC etc. and start there, that's how I found 0xMR and eXRD.

In my opinion Ethereum, Binance coin, Huobi token and Kucoin shares have actual use case and strong fundamentals. All of them have a strong fundamentals and great community..

But I doubt you will be able to find 500 altcoins with actual use case. There are many that have strong fundamentals.

I hope you aren't trying to take risks with coins under top 100 on coinmarketcap because of altcoin season? I know that in 2017 many coins under top 100 brings better profits than top rated coins but that was then, bullrun today isn't about hype but really use cases, same thing might not happen this time around

According to my estimate we may hardly find top 500 altcoins with actual use cases as we can see the whole crypto market has filled up with mostly trash altcoins there will be only few altcoins which will have actual use case in which only Ethereum seems to me a strong altcoin with actual use cases on its fundamental and technical basis.

Top 500 coins? Isn't that much and what can someone be possibly doing with 500 coins, will he be able to keep track of it in cases like swapping etc, well in my own opinion it's much. Also, I do not think one can also see top 500 altcoins with actual and applicable use cases, most of the coins in coinmarketcap have nothing other than hype which gradually fades and the project forgotten. Nevertheless, I do not hold many coins, I only hold those which have something to offer and hence can last long term, and of course, the first in my portfolio is Ethereum, we know how it has been growing and how the team have been trying to upgrade it and so on. Secondly, Binance coin, this is an exchange coin whose team are also experts in bringing in new features. XLM, Tezos and ADA also made my list because their teams are one of the best, and to me, once a team is active and serious then the coin will be a valuable one.

That's a very good point! Do you have any pointers for how to find the coins that have potential to boom? How is your strategy here?

it's very hard find so many good altcoins.
you need to study and have a deep knowledge of several markets, since for each one there is a market with several competitors.
I think there is a general mistake that "new bitcoin" are popping everywhere on CMC.
Despite a couple of example it's very hard have another coin that could monopolize and be the strongest on the market for a long time like bitcoin...this is also why all people are bullish about bitcoin and dislike investment in general altcoins.

Any project that is under top 100 on coinmarketcap are high risks projects, you should stay away from such projects because anything can happen to them at any time, if you want to take risks go for coins in top 100 and make sure their developments is ongoing

I think if you want to know the top 500 altcoins you can visit the Coinmarketcap or Coingecko sites. There of course already has an explanation of the order of coins. Market cap is the most important reason in the order of coins. You can also see the daily volume of each coin. The daily volume proves that the coin is active in the exchange.

No need to search for the top 500 coins on Coinmarketcap, because they are not there. The best coins are listed on the first page of the Coinmarketcap rating. But when choosing a coin for investment, I would limit myself to only time-tested coins, one of which would be bitcoin.

Why would I even try to shill anyone with 5 alts? List 500 alts, and to write a review about each of them, why would anyone try to write a book about it?
There're many alts currently, and how it looks we will have even more alts in the future, and like always 90% will be shit/scam projects, and 9% will make something more, only 1% (or even less) will be good, worth attention projects!
If you don't know where to invest, just put your money on btc and eth and chill! Don't bother yourself with others!

First of all, 500 is not possible at all. If would have to pick one, ETH 2.0 will be my choice. Another undervalued project is WABI.

If asking 500 altcoins with actual usecases i think you cam find there at coinmarket or in exchangers like binance exchanger I know there are many altcoins that have potential and can be used in the future but who knows if the community is big and has a strong project is eth 2.0 and it can be said that many participated in its stake event and it is expected that many more investors will participate in it.
