I have too little knowledge of these competitions in terms of content. Last week there was no promotion of match of the week and the corresponding goal scorer.

Yes, but that would be on all kind of levels in this competition. There are many levels in the Uk to play football. Usually in most countries they play in the weekend, but in the Uk they have a big competition with many side events. That should be the reason why they decided to divide it a bit.
