Polkadot is very good presently but the future of Polkadot is unknown, Don't compare a old project with new project because the old project already achieve solid foundation and it's 10x stronger than new projects, there are worthy opponents in crypto space to compare with Polkadot not Ethereum

Polkadot looks like a really good project. Time is going to tell, when developers starts making use of it they will decide for themselves which network is best for them, and they will start switching to that platform. Although we are yet to know how good the ETH 2.0 is going to be, but we already know that Polkadot has some good features that might be giving it some edge in the fight with Ethereum.

There are a lot of "Ethereum Killers", the future hasn't been decided. I have a couple killers in my portfolio but I still hold Ethereum for the most part: Universa $UTNP and Radix eXDR.

There are already so many projects that works better than Ethereum, but the odds is always on the side of Ethereum for being the first to do it. It’s just like the same thing we are seeing in Bitcoin, there are other coins that were created to be better than Bitcoin, but BTC is ahead for being the first.

Most trending issue that  people are facing about ethereum this is high transaction fee.Not even polkadot  if any other coin or project appears which has the solutions and advance features  than ethereum then it will surely be a killer but of course it will take time to be recognised by people overall.

I do agree with your list as ethereum is much more superior compared with polkadot even this platform was fixing all of the problems that still faced by ethereum. Polkadot is a polkadot and it will never be the same as ethereum. People should understand about that if there's not chance for DOT to compete with ethereum at least not for this time.

Polkadot can be called a better or upgraded version of ethereum I think. Dev just tried to give a solution to those problems that the Ethereum network can not. But ethereum network is so massive that no project can completely replace it. There are many projects that show great expectation but still, there are not anywhere near the ethereum network.

Yes, basically it is not feasible to compare the new project with the old project which is already very solid on the foundation, but in terms of competition and comparison of these two tokens, sometimes a new project is also more prominent in terms of awakening ideas that have never existed in the past, although that idea may not be very well accepted at this point, I generally agree with what you are saying.

There is no doubt for now that Polkadot is a better technology than Ethereum, but one of the thing killing some of these big projects is lack of community, Ethereum has strong community because it has made many people rich and are going to protect their investment, Polkadot is a VC's project and lack strong retail FOMO. If project comes with a valuation of$20 million and return to $1 billion Mcap believe it would have strong follower, Chainlink and Binance are two great examples

It's not possible for Polkadot to get the Ethereum place. Ethereum is needed on for the transaction of tokens. I have one question for you, is this Polkadot will be a gas for the transaction of tokens from your wallet. From my experience, it won't replaced by Polkadot.

I agree that polka dot offers much advanced options and features as compared to ethereum network at the moment but eth developers are also working on longterm developments, features, improvements, upgrades and solutions. So i think ethereum network is always going to have that pioneer advantage.

Polkadot has a better foundation but is unlikely to beat Ethereum's reputation. We can see other good examples like Bitcoin and Litecoin. Both 2 also use a Proof of Working mechanism but the value is very different. Even Litecoin is more advanced using the Skrypt encryption algorithm, which is much faster than the SHA-256 of Bitcoin but cannot compete with Bitcoin.
It shows that reputation and community are what makes it all. Fans of Ethereum are huge and beating this platform is difficult, unless Polkadot has a higher market cap than Ethereum

The killer in the sense of replacement. The OP view is the Polkadot had potential over Ethereum and it replaced the Ethereum.And all the new crypto project will make a aim of Ethereum as their goal. Polkadot may offer much better scalability and features compared to Ethereum but, It will still be very hard to overtake Ethereum by now, people are too familiar with the ERC-20, and the erc-20 is huge adoption. Its not only about sophisticated features and better scalability tho, even after Tron with trc-20 and EOS, most of project still prefer to use Ethereum and cresting erc-20 token since it will be easier to be listed in many DEX, moreover we have Uniswap now growing bigger and bigger.

What we have realized in the last decade is mere technological advancement doesn't make the coin superior. If we were to compare, bitcoin is one of the most dumb coin on the list and people may argue that it doesn't deserve to be so popular citing it's inefficient blockchain and how much energy it waste. But there are much more thing to consider and one of the largest one is trust and security. Which are a result of decentralization and community based development.
