Polkadot can take place of Ethereum?

I think there is no project or any coins that can kill ethereum or beat this coin. If we noticed this coin is still the choice of project and it is already tested.

Many projects wants to beat the ethereum but for me there is no coin until now No coin has been develope but maybe for the other people is already coin that can defeat the ethereum to the potentiality and I respect on that it because people have different thinking and beliefs.

Honestly for now, I'm personally just using DOT to invest because of their staking rewards, but they can make this platform much better, but even then, ETH is just there next to BTC, a prince of Crypto if BTC is the King.

EOS, TRX, and WAVES have been rumored to be "Ethereum Killer" but until now Ethereum is still the king of Altcoin, and now Polkadot appears again! I don't see any potential for Polkadot to be able to shift Ethereum from its throne..

Many projects trying to find solutions for ETH and BTC scalability. It means that those projects are important. you couldn't call them Killer.

Two projects are better, I want to know the project better in your mind? In my opinion, ETH is great after BTC, other altcoins still need more improvement to compare with ETH.

Actually, it not always about the technology behind the project. Sometimes it matters what the community thinks. Like there are many projects that use much faster and advanced technology than bitcoin but still, bitcoin is the king in the crypto world. ETH community is so vast that other projects can co-exist but can not replace it completely.

^ your comparison is very good between newcomer and old man.

More specifically, from a usage point of view, Ethereum demand is still increasing in the market despite the volatile gas fees. Ethereum can't be swept away by Polkadot which still doesn't have a real & good market demand.

Polkadot need to incentivize developers to start working on their blockchain, if you think because your technology is good that means people would come then you are deceiving yourself, this is the mistake made by Tezos team and developers seems not to be interested to develop anything on the chain. Solano and Serum is a good move, and Polkadot need their own huge Dapps

Polkadot  has just entered the market and gained the number 8th spot which is impressive. Ethereum on the other hand has been for many years and is on the number 2 spot in coinmarketcap.
I don't think in the short term Polkadot can be at the place of Ethereum but it does have the potential to be the next ethereum.

Agreed. From what I have learned about Polkadot they actually solve a real problem and allow cross chain transfers of tokens. The OP view is the Polkadot had potential over Ethereum and it replaced the Ethereum.And all the new crypto project will make a aim of Ethereum as their goal. But still now no project had reached his goal.

That's the problem we are trying to replace projects while the approach should be to look at them as options and alternatives. I mean DOT has it's own qualities while we must never forget who gave us the smart contracts and everything, it was indeed Ethereum.

Polkadot is new I don't think this will be the eth killer even they offer better than ethereum. There were many altcoin project trying to down ethereum like EOS but till now nothing happens. Let's just give a year or two for polkadot to take place ethereum because it is really new but I bet it will not happen.

All that quirks and features goes to waste if no one using it. Although polkadot market cap can be considered big but to take the place of ethereum it needs the acceptance ethereum has to the point where using erc20 is the norm among many new projects which Polkadot has yet to achieve that.

 However, if there's any rival to ethereum I think it's not xrp but polkadot but that's just my opinion

Even I believe that Polkadot cannot replace Ethereum. It is the number one blockchain in cryptocurrency ecosystem. Even Polkadot is potential and gaining popularity and competing Ethereum, it will not defeat Eth. There still more people who are optimistic and believe in Ethereum especially now that Eth 2.0 airing in crypto sphere.
