Greek translation can be found here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=530151.0

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Love the idea behind the coin.
Technical design & emission model solid (although with scrypt ASICs on the horizon I would have preferred something like X11 algo).
Solid marketing approach.

Seriously thinking about supporting GiveCoin.

Only concern being 5% premine...

Nope, apart from 5% premine GiveCoin is Scrypt PoW mining.

There is a pool linked in the first post, so I guess it should be possible.

NEW UPDATE

In the last 48 hrs or so after posting PRE-ANN for GiveCoin. We have been receiving requests to change the scrypt Algorithm to newer ASIC resistant hash functions, and We've decied listen to the community's advice and adopt Darkcoin's x11 ultra secure 11 round hash function.

We've also made some adjustment to our giveaway. Instead of giving away 1% of Premined coins to the winners of vote, we're doubling the giveaway amount to 2% or 10 Million Give.

These changes will inevitably push back the launch date, since changing the hash function means redesigning the coin from scratch. We will edit the launch date to soft 2 weeks from now, and post the exact time once we have better idea.

If I understand correctly, 5% premined, among them, only 1% will be used as giveaway.
And the dev will hold the left 4% for "the future purposes".

After the voting ends on 6/30/14, top 5 winners will be contacted and the funds will be transfer to them. We will provide evidence of transfer when time comes.

To be honest, I'm not too familiar with Charity coin. from what I have been reading there are some key differences.

Givecoin is democratic, you choose the charities you like by suggesting (we like to hear from some of smaller grassroot organizations). occasionally we might bring some worthy charities we like, but mostly, we want you to recommend charities you like.

Donation - we don't take % from mining, seems like charity coin takes 10% from every mined block and funnel it to charities, but we leave donations up to you. we just handle the transfer of funds, and marketing to convince them to accept GIVE coin. we will have giveaway events and disaster relief to fund them with our remaining premined coins though.

We're still very young organization, our concept will evolve and improve over time. Support us by mining Givecoin and donating some to your favorite charity!
