Hopefully someone can help me out, when i use the givecoin kernel I'm getting 100% rejects (share above target) and if I try the darkcoin kernel sgminer seems to be working but on the pool there's no activity.

Sorry it's probably a nooby mistake by me but any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Okaypool, am using the same batch file that worked fine with Hirocoin, have changed the kernel to Givecoin but still no joy, getting 100% rejected.

I'm also at that pool. Not everything is working there either (I only see my hashrate and the confirmed/unconfirmed gives). Use darkcoin kernel, download miner from DRK thread

Why is everyone so stupid lately? New currencies are worthless. No one is investing in new clone coins any more.

Just accept the fact that you missed out on dogecoin and the mining new coins rocket ship to the moon when people were making millions.

New coins are shit and will be worthless until the coin can prove otherwise.

Do some research. Find a coin that you want to support. Mine it for a year. Promote it to your friends and family. Sell coins for a mark up and then buy more.

I like this coin because it is x11. I might leave it for another x11 coin if I do not see any progress in the next month with things like an android wallet, paper wallet generator or a large support community.

OK got it sorted, hadn't set the thread concurrency and that pool uses the darkcoin kernel rather than the givecoin one, just to confuse me more Smiley

Earnings are oddly low for my hashrate and pool's hash rate on OkayPool. Not sure what's going on. I know luck plays into it but I have not seen such discrepancy on other pools before.

p2pool is doing great.  Lot's of blocks and you don't need to worry about suspect pool operators.  Plus it's better for the coin.

I have never used a p2p pool before. Can you send me the instructional links for how to use it?

Hey everyone Smiley,

My name's Mike, I'm part of the development team working on Givecoin, specifically in charge of reaching out to charities about cryptocurrencies, getting them on board with GIVE, amongst other. I figured now would be a great time to introduce myself, in hand with some great news:

We've just confirmed partnerships with two nonprofit organizations who've accepted our donations and are looking forward to see what the community has to offer.

Spare Key Foundation
www.sparekey.org
7CQ9wz9WUzrPgV9JFsBxjB2JPHgjrKN2J5

Providing financial relief and assistance in North Dakota, South Dakota, and Minnesota for families in need. Ahead of the game for charities worldwide, already accepting a range of cryptocurrencies to date. Erich and I have spoken over the phone several times, he's very enthusiastic toward the technology and the potential it might have toward charity organizations.

To make the best use of the news cycle, they're deferring an official press release until Monday, but are ready to take donations. Roerick, their cryptocurrency development director, will be posting in this thread shortly to appease the skeptics, and I'm sure will be interested in any questions or suggestions.

Blood Banker
www.bloodbanker.org
76DAU2No5gDZgULCAACZKmWWSpWgiZvHzh

A 501(3)c organization that provides supply and insurance for blood banks, aiming to advocate the importance of blood and plasma donation and to use technology to connect donors to those in need. Phil is also in the process of updating the site with their wallet address, but has received his bounty and is also ready to accept donations. He's just posted the official announcement via tweet @ twitter.com/blooddonation.

...So guys, tweet, retweet, keep on mining, tell your grandma! These are two of many more to come in the upcoming weeks, and we're excited to be on the verge of having something really going on with Givecoin. Please consider donating some fresh coin in their direction, in the spirit of what we're trying to do here. Your constructive criticism and suggestions are valuable to making GIVE as strong as possible, so keep them coming! It was a delayed and bumpy start, but now that everything's running, our full effort and energy are going towards making this happen in the long run.
