More than 90% of altcoins are junk anyway, and we'd be better off without them. I don't think about whether or not any of them will fail. Those that are worth are going to live, and that's what's crucial.

currently the uptrend is only for bitcoin and other big coins. there is no altseason right now as almost all altcoins on the market today are trash. Don't think the 2020 bulls will be the same 2017, you will only make the wrong decision if you still think like this. leave altcoins and just focus on bitcoin or other top20 coins. With this you won't have any problems when the bulls suddenly stop.

I'm starting to have my doubts too, it seems that this present bullrun is different, I'm guessing that many altcoins will be left behind, they won't bring any good profits like that of Jan 2018, it's better to choose altcoins from top 10 or top 20 atleast, if you think shitcoins will surge you better think again

Is there a possibility that only bitcoin will remain bullish this year?
There is, it's a huge possibility as the momentum now is really bullish.

Can altcoin season be left out? The reason why I'm asking is some are already doubting, what if only very few altcoins grows higher in value and things failed to go the same way as that of 2017? What's your answer?

I believe bitcoin is the main attraction now for investors, we haven't seen a real bullish run for altcoins, but it's possible that altcoins will follow the same trend as bitcoin continues to be bullish, it's still early, we can tell if bitcoin would really be consistent by breaking its current ATH.

You need high quality altcoins to get the most out of this bull season, some made good profits from shitcoins with very low volumes in 2017 but im not sure that history will repeat itself again, im thinking that only useful altcoins will ride along with bitcoin in this bull season and many bad altcoins will be abandoned

altcoin that have potency and usage in market will follow bitcoin movement, but for shit altcoin will die slowly. investors will buy only on qualified project or altcoin , they prefer to play safe in strategy and top altcoin will be their choice. but there is any opportunity for new altcoin project to rise as long as they prove as good project.

Ofcourse not. Just wait for the bitcoin dominance to go down and altcoins will explode too. That's what I observed last time. Also bitcoin will be the first to rise and will be followed with a parabolic movement of altcoin projects. But of course these altcoins are those major ones and potential one. Dont include here those scam shitcoins cause their growth is mainly due to hype and promotional shilling.

Usually altcoin season comes after bitcoin. If the pattern will go the same as the past years, that's likely to happen. But that doesn't mean that there could be a change in pattern and it will only be bitcoin getting a lot of pumps. If you look closely, a lot of alts are also pumping this time. There's no exception for this bull run that we get although a small portion goes for the alts.

There's but remember altcoin has also the same chance like bitcoin. Altcoin can't be left out. I think that you must watch the correlation between altcoin and bitcoin again.
If you are seeing it correctly and you will know the movement that will be making by the bitcoin traders after the traders have done with the bitcoin pump.
They will always move to the altcoins markets and then the same thing will be repeating again and again. Don't you see that the majority of altcoins are also getting pumped too.

I think a lot of people got burned from the last bull and most of the crypto money is in bitcoin.  Bitcoin dominance is way higher this time around so there is a good chance most alts will be left behind.  It will take a new group of new money for another alt pump.

If you are smart enough you'd build your altcoin portfolio with popular altcoins, it thus look like many altcoins will be left behind this time around, remember that this bullrun is powered by something different this time around, so different from the bullrun of 2017, choose good altcoins only and thank me later

Seems like it is altcoins turn now. Check the movement of bitcoin and altcoins price today. Bitcoin marketcap dominance slightly decreased. And almost every altcoin price increased up significantly. And those are still going up. XRP price have shown really impressive move in last 24 hours. Now we need to see how these thing ends finally. But maybe this time it won't be like 2017.

Honestly in my opinion, altcoin season just started, with ETH, XRP, LTC and some major altcoins doing really good. I think firstly, the big caps will pump, then small caps will follow suite. I'm not sure if we can have similar alt season like in 2017, but who knows, we might even surpass that and make a new ATH for most altcoins. My main happiness is that I've got a big ETH bag, and it's doing pretty well. 😊

Past price history is not an indication of future price action. Wink

All markets are unpredictable while cryptocurrencies are the least predictable. My personal opinion is that altcoins won't be able to keep up with Bitcoin. I mean I don't see big institutions pumping money into DASH or "nebula coin". Do you see any major fund buying altcoins? Have you noticed any trusts buying altcoin positions?

Personally I haven't. That means there is a high inflow of money into Bitcoin, while the altcoins get nothing. This might change in the future, but I'm not placing any bets here. Cheesy

we're not still sure about that our markets are decentralized so there's no way we could predict it what we can see is that the bitcoin's price is increasing and let's just hope that the altcoins will bull run too. I still believe that the ethereum will increase it's

Is there a possibility that only bitcoin will remain bullish this year? Can altcoin season be left out? The reason why I'm asking is some are already doubting, what if only very few altcoins grows higher in value and things failed to go the same way as that of 2017? What's your answer?

If you are real investor and looking for a long term investment, you would probably do the same and have all funds in bitcoin. Many altcoins are still in recovery mode since last bull run that was hype by ICO flame. Almost altcoins died, few survive but hardly fully recovered.
So many people rush into altcoins without even knowing the meaning and aim of them. They were hoping to double their investment and when the whole scenario didn't goes as plan, they frame bitcoin as ponzi scheme.
This current bull run we are experiencing is healthy adoption fuel by PayPal, institutional investors and influencers. Altcoins will grow generally but that will be when Bitcoin is consolidating on correction.

If we are going to check the market then you are right, bitcoin is only the one who is in bullish by this year 2020 but let's just hope that the alts can recover in 2021.

There is still chance that the alt season can still happen like what happen in the past especially if the bull season will be triggered as right now the bitcoin is dominating the alts so we cannot probably see the altcoin season by this year but maybe in 2021.
