Altcoin season probably won't happen like the past?

The season of altcoins will definitely be, after such an increase in bitcoin, but I think that not all altcoins will grow, but only top ones, which really have some kind of product and are developing.

Yes, only part of the Altcoins are able to keep up with the trend of Bitcoin so that they are able to increase their price in the market, actually something like that is not the season for Altcoin, because it has happened before on several occasions.

Knowing how unstable and so volatile the market especially the altcoins makes us feel doubtful of the circumstances that it will left behind by the bullish run of bitcoin but I still have a strong confident altcoins will also climbed up and will also have its bullish run knowing that many big investors mostly corporations, millionaires and billionaires are now getting attracted in the crypto investment.

Is there a possibility that only bitcoin will remain bullish this year? Can altcoin season be left out? The reason why I'm asking is some are already doubting, what if only very few altcoins grows higher in value and things failed to go the same way as that of 2017? What's your answer?

In my own opinion, I would say you shouldn't expect the anticipated altcoin season to be like that of 2017 with reasons. The first reason is, during that 2017 there were few coins and most project team then were after value and Integrity, hence developing a good number of projects of which a good number of them are still working. Secondly, that was also an era when a good level of attention was channelled to Bitcoin which grew up well and later led to altcoin season.
But nowadays everything is different, first we have a big load of altcoins here and there, wherein most people see some as just pump and dump, where a good number do not have anything to offer just hype the token and it dumps. Also, the DeFi trend currently taught many people a lesson hence with this market growth this past days, a lot of attention where paid on old coins, hence the reason they were the ones enjoying a good pump. Lastly, people having learnt that a good number of coins and tokens have nothing to offer, focused only on coins that are worth it, hence as some are dumping others are growing.
Furthermore, in a bid to answer the question, only Bitcoin will not remain bullish but all top coins.

It's coming right now but it's a bit different with the altcoin season that happened in the past caused by there are so many people that blindly bought crypto without know the fundamental of projects. A few years have passed and so many people have started to get more knowledge about crypto since the last big bullish trend that was happening at the end of 2018.
This time people is very well educated about how to determine the legit project based on how strong the fundamental that owned by the project.

Those coins that have lost up to 90% of their value will never return to their previous values. This list was replenished this year with new defi tokens, which were pumped up to x1000 and deflated to the previous price. And those who bought such coins on high will also not return their investment.

it depends on how to choose the altcoins, there are lots of bullish altcoins but only for a moment but most altcoins are worthless

@Bitbtc8, ever since the world was hit by the pandemic everybody understands that everything about this year market (including the crypto market) will be different and this is what shows in Bitcoin bullish market cause most investors and miners are after profit but that doesn't mean Bitcoin or altcoin season won't happen like the past although it may be a little delay.
@poodle63, the main force that pushes Bitcoin price this year is not only the massive exposure or adoption because halving played the most vital role. Mind you, halving was implemented for inflation control in the market.

Who knows... Anything can be possible at the moment. I believe when Bitcoin starts to come down after reaching the maximum possible value in this season, altcoins will start to perform. But considering the market cap of BTC, for an altcoin to perform in par with BTC, it is required to have a considerably higher market cap.

Due to many negative news and scams happen before, many doubts altcoins now. Only few project from 2017 is still active up to now, many will just tend to buy btc than to risk in altcoins especially this bullrun, there is also a effect from DeFi hype before that altcoins didn't push too much to be bullish.

Am sure alot of people also said that about bitcoin. Many also called bitcoin a scam when it started out 10 years ago. But we know the story has changed now and many have embraced it. This is the same way I know many will turn back a few years from now to call the 90% you call junk nice tokens. I do not think your statistics is accurate that the bad altcoins are up to 90%. the possibility is still there as long as you hold the top altcoins in the market especially like Ethereum, Binance, EOs, Litecoin, Polkadot, Xrp most of them still have a chance to increase their price even higher than the current price. moreover knowing that BTC has pumped in over $ 18k I believe that this could affect the prices of other top altcoins as well.

Forecasts are just a guess. No one could have predicted that bitcoin, let alone altcoins, would show such dynamics. According to statistics, such cycles occur every four years. What are you even saying, what do you mean altcoin season? Even during the last bull run in 2017 when Bitcoin reached an ATH price was it every altcoin that increased in price, if not Ethereum, BCH, LTC, and a few others that are top of the list? That’s the same thing that is happening now, we are seeing just a few of them go up, so I don’t know what you mean altcoin season.

Ethereum has already increased from a very low price below hundred dollars to over $500. Even XRP, the last two weeks before November ended, we saw XRP increase more than a hundred percent and neared $1 before going down to half of it. And it’s not just these two coins, there are other altcoins increasing, even DeFi, or don’t you know that DeFi is part of altcoins?

Whether it hits 20k or 50k or not, what I actually wish is that it doesn't drop like it always drops after reaching great heights. I always feel better to have a constant and solid 25k then having a ballooned 50k which can drop anytime.

The altcoin market is never going to be the same again because when it initially started there were serious developers and entrepreneurs who had a good intention when making new coins but now it is just all comedy where anyone can come and create their own coin by saying we are going to decentralize this and that while actually having the sole intention to juice out money from innocent investors.

It is still early to tell the direction of altcoins but I also dont think all the altcoin will have the bull run. Defi are altcoins as wll and they have made a good profit in the market, some think CEX and KYC are reasons for the slow market movement but have seen a good growth of DEX and coin listed on it. Hack from the same DEFI could have reduced the rate of growth in altseason but I still think DEFI and NEFTI will have a good run when bitcoin breaks $20k, Eth breaks $1000 and sustain it

It is still early to tell the direction of altcoins

the year is already ending and that was still early ? lets accept it that there are no alt season that happen this year .
 i know eth and few big alts have experience an increase somehow but they are too few to call it as a season or alt season but the real alt season is what happen on the 2017 where 96 percent of the crypto are increasing .

 my coments are only aplicable by this year but we still have next year and many more years to come and the faith of altcoins can still change and the history that we want can still repeat .

now bitcoin is trending again, but that doesn't mean all altcoins will fall, there are some altcoins that are slowly rising.  and later there will come a time for altcoin to rise, we just wait and be patient, there will be times when altcoin holders feel happy because of the price increase.  I don't know when the time is but I'm sure it will come soon

maybe it only applies to the top altcoins, if the holders of ico coins or the result of the bounty the odds are quite few and can only hope that they still have a sale value in the market. but I personally don't doubt BTC or other top altcoins, I believe they still have a chance to increase the price again one day.
