I ended up selling all my mining rigs to to advantage of this altcoin season, some could say it's a stupid move but I did this because it's the best option right now, the profits I'm making from my miners are not that much anymore, it's more like my setups can't keep up anymore, instead of investing on new miners i decide to buy top altcoins like Ethereum, LTC, XRP, BNB, Chainlink among the rest

If you have some old rigs or about to go obsolete setups I suggest you do the same before altcoins reach a new all time high

altcoin season won't last forever but I can make ROI faster than waiting for months or even years to recover my invested money on miners and electricity

Today is a completely different situation, 2017 was just a hype.
Because of the pandemic, hotels, cafes, factories are closed, planes do not fly, and businesses lose billions.
Cryptocurrency is a new market where you can wait out the financial storm.

That's not really an easy decision since you might not know when will the bull run for altcoin will last, but your really brave for you such rigs. I hope you will at least recover your investment and it's much better if you managed to get profit out of it. Good luck to you mate!

i am sure you already made right calculation about this decision, mining really required many monthly cost and if we have no reserve money ofocurse we will sell our coin from mining, meanwhile if we hold it for long time maybe its profit bigger than hold altcoin. but it been your decision and i am sure it will be worth while altcoin season coming.

that's a good idea but if I were you all I would do was buy a solar panel that could support my mining rig's electricity so the cost of electricity is 0
I really understand why mining is no longer promising because the cost of electricity which makes profit is very small but without electricity costs, the profit will be maximized

I agree with your idea. We must take advantage of it when Bitcoin comes back as in 2017. I am also thinking the same as you when first falling in love with the more potential altcoins. Christmas is coming, Covid 19 is happening. The best way to invest in Altcoins is when Bitcoin is too valuable, we cannot buy a lot and make a profit from it. Maybe a new year comes with lots of luck for our crypto and Altcoins which you mention.

If you already know that investing more into your mining equipment it wasn't something you was prepared to do then I think deciding to sell it all was a good decision. Mining is expensive and nowadays individuals have to compete with entire hardware companies - not that fair - bu this is the current playing field.

Re-investing that money into alts is not a bad idea but if you think that it suits you then you can never say that you went with the wrong choice.

Alts are now picking up like crazy, so having done what you did at this time, was a good call. Plus, you already seem to be aware that the alts season won't go forever, so as long as you're preparing for that, I  don't see anything wrong with this decision

indeed the best choice is to buy the top altcoins to be used as an investment, moreover,
all of them are still in the recovery zone, or still at the bottom when compared to prices in 2018,
if bitcoin dominance drops to 50% it is certain that top altcoins will increase.

It's true that the altcoin season might not be around for a long time but Bitcoin isn't done yet, if OP can get in fast he will make some profits before altcoin season disappears, even if there is no altcoin season I just prefer buying POS (proof of stake) coins and stake them through trust wallet or Binance exchange, less stress and easy money making than mining

That's a very risky decision but it clear that altcoin season will bring good profits, you can make higher ROI investing in altcoins but I won't dare sell my miners because of altcoin season, when mining will become profitable again is unknown,  few weeks back mining became profitable, it might be back again, if it's a must to take the risk you could have sell some parts of your rigs not everything

This is a nice move investing in altcoins to make profit than mining rigs of your choice. Some of my friends already sold their equipment due to not worthy and not profitable. Investing in the top altcoins when price is not yet high is a wise decisions. As what others been saying, invest on what you can afford because market is volatile. The market is in red marks so good opportunity to shop and hold in your bag.

It was a good decision as long as you are investing in a right coin wherein you are gaining profit and not incurring any losses. I do not suggest mining rig anymore because of the other expenses like electricity and many more. In terms of investing it in altcoins,  you just need to have a lot of patience.

yes my choice is right so may Times my desition is 100% right i know so many information about crypto currency and i konw technical analysis and I don't have any panic on market then I am getting finding good projects and money invested and received very good profit

If you can always take advantage of the right time to invest, then you are a lucky person in terms of spending your time, and now there are indeed many good Altcoins that can be bought and then invested in the right project, but be aware must remain because fraud is still rampant inside crypto.

There are still much scam projects around the digital world, without be told the world of digital currency has the good and the bad, with care in selection the cryptocurrency is the best. These selections from OP are the best in my opinion becasue some of these coins are in my portfolio and some made me good profits and would still buy them if opportunity arise again, most especially the Chainlink.
