At the time I'm posting this, the price of Bitcoin is at around $17,898.01 already.
Looks like the expectation of most of the investors and holders hasn't happen . They've expected that it will go reach the new ATH but it didn't happen .

No surprise for me that the market has been down right now since I don't really expect for Bitcoin to go up and up forever. I'd say that this is a healthy correction and every market needs it. If you want to accumulate more Bitcoin and other altcoins, maybe this is the right time or wait for some time too your decision.

That's why 2020 is not comparable to the massive bull run we have in 2017, this is just 2016.

So currently as the market goes down today at $17,700 and possible to continue to dip down tomorrow to $17k or even lower than that. So we know that ATH today is not possible as the whole crypto is going into a correction. So for me the real 2017 will be next year and that big possibility to enter a new ATH will be 2021.

It's interesting to know though what is the cause of the massive sell-off we are seeing right now. Maybe when everything settles down, we might see crypto media coming up with their own explanation.

The price can have another new bitcoin ATH in the next week or next month because the price now is down and remains at the current price. The price is now getting down too deep because it reaches $17,700, and I wonder if that will need more time to back to the high price or it will suddenly jump to the high price in the next few days. But still, we are waiting for the next ATH for bitcoin, and perhaps, this time will be a good time to buy more bitcoin. Or we can wait for more to see the price will go down for more. But I am sure that $20k will be break sooner or later, and that will be our profit to take it.

Asking if this can happen yesterday is No because few hours after Posting this thread Bitcoin price or i mean the Market lose momentum and starts to fall badly,Bitcoin losing almost $2k in recent Highest price and so as Ethereum and the Dominating Ripple also make it down.

better ask if we can break it this year,and i will confidently say YES.

it has been proven that Bitcoin can take 1000$ increase in couple of hours so what more if given 1month from now.

And also you're right because when you posted this the Market is really in great shape and the Value of Bitcoin is constantly Pumping .

The recovery has been quick from some time as it was almost at 16.5k and now back to 17.3k. So we may be back again to bull run but 4 days left for month to end and it may remain volatile for few days it seems where it may rise and fall. So, might just be difficult to touch ATH in this month itself it seems so.

We are so near yet so far, we had the chance to hit the peak but we failed so I don’t think the market will recover easily and hit the new peak in the last 4 days of the month. Anyway, there’s no rush with bitcoin and we always had chances to be better, Last month of the year will be great so stay faithful.

The possible reason why the market price is falling at a high rate is probably investors being afraid at this point. The market price stabilised at the $19k for a day then once it fell a little, some investors already sold due to panic. We'll, actually everyone is allowed to do so and we cannot blame those who sold early because they are probably still in trauma of the previous ATH. But if you could afford being firmed at this moment, choose to hold because there's still hope for this year's ATH. Still a month to go and that I think is enough for things to happen and we should wait for it.

price touch at 19k last day and that was verry close to 20k but there is that force again that pulls bitcoin from reaching it .

 20k isnt a mystery but that was a reality now and whats good is that people are given a chance to hope in for that 20k Ride because the price just decrease around 2k usd .

 this was going to be the last time that we will see bitcoin decrease this high and the next session will be full of straight highs .

Taking a look at the huge ass sell wall at the $19,500 to $20,000 range on Binance(BTC/USDT), I really really doubt it. That's going to be a tough wall to break through. I wouldn't be surprised if it would take us weeks, though what do I know? Bitcoin has always been capable of doing crazy things concerning price.

But this could also collapse when BTC starts moving up again in the remaining 4 Days.
We have seen how easily it could go up or down in a short time.

Well, that's a pretty sum to observe the market but the crazy thing right now is whenever there's a short pullback thinking it will be a huge one the price keep going up and I think the bulls are the one in control of the market.

Typo error mate, I mean 6-10 hours,  . Unfortunately, it didn't happen, crazy 24 hours as the price plummeted to the $16k range. So a correction did happen, so obviously, there is no all time high, but a lot of speculation as what causes the huge dump. Maybe the $19,500 was too much, got rejected. The thing is that it was broken the next support of $18k that's why the dumping continues up to $16k range. And it's been bouncing around, and I think this time the support is holding at $16,500. So let's hope that there are no incoming dumps as it might cause another panic to $12k-$14k.

But as you said, it still a mystery and no one will know the right time to happen. The bullish time will come again to us, and after this bear market, the bullish market will come, and we can make a profit again. Haha already this month was ended with in a day, I don't think it will reach $20'000 within three days. Because current market is purely fluctuating in sinusoidal way so it will be pump and dump at anytime. I think big holders are store the BTC on 2013 so it is just a bottom on the crypto environment. But 2017 most of the whales are wake up and start the activity in the market, again it will be drop on constantly so investors are store the gems and waiting for the next ATH, then finally this month it is going to peak and it is not a end card so waiting for next month ATH.

It was an unexpected one from all. But we can't do damage control now. Just we have a option to make a hold.When the price had increased, it will be the best time to buy and when the price of bitcoin had reduced like this.We should make a hold of available coin and if possible buy some coin at a low price.It should be used as an opportunity.

We failed to see it, we really were too close and I really hope that we will finally see it one day, but until that happens it looks like we are going to not really see anything over ATH just yet.

I do not feel like we are done trying, it looks like there are tons of people who are still supportive of bitcoin and who really thinks we are not out of the bull run just yet, but just because they think that way doesn't mean it will happen that way neither, so we are at a stage where a lot of people who are still hopeful about ATH price to be broken but a million people who wants it up wouldn't worth the same as few people who have 10x more amounts in bitcoin that can crash it if they want to. This is why bitcoin is volatile and also very unpredictable as well.
