Hello,

30 minutes ago registred user Vindictuses selling AWS SES accounts. I contacted him for buying the accounts. Obviously he refused escrow and started to talk about some "dividing to three parts payment" which is standard scammer scheme.

Conversation:
https://ibb.co/fMCgK8x

I would avoid any deals with this user to save your money. I did create this topic because some of the newcomers may fall to that.

Sorry, if it is in wrong section!

Newbie account seller that refuses escrow is a textbook example of scammer  and certainly not the  person that should be trusted so it is a good thing that you opened a topic here. On top of that he set self-moderated thread and even mentioned not to send him messages via forum.

Since I think that there is a big chance that he is a scammer, I am tagging him.

Trialed in 5 minutes. Why I should escrow with any random person on telegram? In 2 hours since I made the topic, 15 people sent a message each smarter than the previous. if i ask them to sign message to prove they have the coins for the ses, no one can do it.

You didn't even negotiate with him regarding escrow, you just said no and that's it. Do you really plan to build any business here with no reputation and without using escrow? Good luck with that.

Every few days we have someone coming to scam accusation section that gets scammed in similar manner, so don't be surprised that you got tagged. It is very simple really, I do not trust any brand new account that sells something with these red flags:
  • Opens self-moderated thread
  • Refuses to do any communication through bitcointalk PM (as admins can check authenticity if needed)
  • Communication only via Telegram
  • Refuses to use escrow

Why would I? How would it work selling a ses to someone like him? Would you? What other type of communication do you see more fit if not telegram?

If the thread was not self-moderated, he would instantly just say scammer in the thread. As it is moderated, he texted, wrote 2 words and make a topic for the others to do his wish. You just helped a scammer to get rid of a genuine seller.

Genuine seller accepts escrow. You can see my feedback that I've done deals with escrow earlier. I do not believe you are genuine, but if you are, let's deal through reputable escrow of the BitCoinTalk forum. The "dividing scheme" is the most stupid and general scammer tactic.

So you knew actually what you will do with the buyer? for why people may blame on the thread-like saying scammer or something bad. (self-made thread is not a problem though if you are a genuine seller)

I also don't agree to create a scam accusation too fast what the op did. maybe both should do some conversation about the escrow. Maybe op will also negotiate it or will not. but a little more discussion should be considered.

It also gives us a bad idea when you directly said you don't agree to use escrow for the first time. Smiley and offered to divide 3 parts.

In that case change your feedback to neutral, I totally agree with that, let the people the cautious but do not do any presumptions from start. I don't want to speak with him, I don't want to deal with him, look at the way he is doing the talk, he is only about defaimation or he's trying to show that he is better. Diving in 3 parts does not seem as bad ideea, the escrow protects the buyer, not the seller; as I said in my topic I will show any screenshots to prove my legitamacy of selling a genuine account, will he do the same? Dividing in 3 parts also places me at risk, he can activate 2fa minutes after he does the login, it happened to me to lost an account this way

Negative feedback from Vod, who is general idiot of the forum and abuses his DT member status. Additionally, the feedback is not about scamming at all - you can find lots of positive feedbacks from his thread from trusted and old members of the forum.

Anyway, this is not the point. You don't agree any escrow, so you are clearly the scam - doesn't matter if Dream is trusted or no. Cheesy

What is the point of signing a message from an address when one can use an escrow. Signing a message from an address doesn't mean that the person can send you money. They can decide to refuse sending you thr money

Diving in 3 parts does not seem as bad ideea,
It is, If you are someone genuine, why would you refuse to opt for escrow.

I feel sorry for @mikepom if what he claims is true, but @vindictuses was already tagged by me, so you can't say that all members that planned to do business with him weren't warned of possible consequences of not using escrow when dealing with a newbie account with no prior trade history or reputation. All he had to do is to check his trust rating and this would be avoided.

@mikepom should open a thread in scam accusation board and raise a flag against him.

I have done deals before though not here. Having BTC is an address means nothing If one is dishonest and has an intention of scamming you. The best sign of commitment is using an escrow.
The escrow will help mediate the transaction and dispute. Should the other party start playing games and claim that the password is incorrect after changing it. The money still gets sent to you once the dispute is resolved. That's why you always have to choose trusted escrow services.

DT members, I hope you can believe me now and tag this shady user to save other's money.
Tagged him. He definitely had ill intentions and one of the red flags was refusing to use an escrow service
