It’s clear that we can't change Qatar anymore, it was decided and it is going to happen, we can't reject it now, it’s getting close and it is going to happen. What we can do however is to make sure that we do not have the same things anymore. I have a lot of things that I disagree with the west as well, Europe and the USA do things that I do not approve of neither, but nothing that would put the lives of visitors in danger to be fair, France being exception knowing what happened in Paris last year.
So, I am guessing that the best thing to do would be making sure that they pick liberal nations with laws that would not hurt any visitor from now on, and that starts with management.
I dont think that there will be any trouble in Qatar and this is unique to play at winter the world cup for the first time ever. But its gonna be really hot so it will be really hard for all players playing at that big of a heat. Qatar should safely host this only if some individuals dont make problems

I think we can already see the pressure of World Cup approaching on internal clubs but also on national teams are tonight we have Nations League and big teams like England or Germany are really having a slow pace game in order to avoid injuries or anything similar. Also , with this Nations League games , South American teams are having an advantage because players are extra rested than some others.
This nations league is apsolute stupid stuff and just a waste of player strengths. Europeans best teams are really bad lately and i dont think they will reach their top levels once the world cup begins. Most disappointing are Germany and England. France played really good so we can see them going far but others i dont think they can do much Yep , that's exactly what is happening in this Nations League games. Germany still have great players that can burst out of nowhere and play good but on England side ...things are not so great and morale is almost on bottom before first game in World Cup. France knows what they are doing and they have a lot of great players who can substitute almost every player in that squad so I'm not worries about France and neither on Spain as that team is full of hunger to prove themselves in this World Cup. there is no question in my mind that the Nations League is a complete waste of time and energy on the part of the players. with the world cup approaching, i don't think there is time for players to play in the Nations League as well as the possibility of them getting injured since there are key players for a nation who can single-handedly win any match they play in. in spite of this, i have to admit that i was very disappointed with both Germany and England during the match. they may have been playing safe so that no players get injured, but even after that their games were really slow-paced, so it could be that they were playing safe to prevent any injuries.

There's also the fact that the Nations League prevents South American teams to play against most of the best teams in the world for practice. Argentina ended up playing against Honduras recently for a friendly match, and Messi got almost injured from it. Still Argentina seems to have hopes for this world cup. Here's some background about it: https://www.theguardian.com/football/2022/sep/24/against-all-odds-lionel-messi-has-one-last-shot-at-world-cup-glory-with-argentina

Crazy ideas with UEFA Nation League because most important with commercial and money only by UEFA institution depending how bad impact for player later get injury, I don't think UEFA Nation League as most important competition because on FIFA matchday all European countries could held with friendly match without playing seriously at UEFA Nation League. Almost few months later with FIFA World Cup 2022 begin but still have not important match and UEFA Nation League keeps playing for two games. England have drop to second Nation League and looks not really serious against with Germany, I don't see have potential chance with UEFA Nation League most excited to watch although with big match between Germany vs England because both countries try how to protect their player from injury.

But UEFA's idea for the League of Nations is to "force" countries to use less used players and thus create greater turnover. Of course they cannot say this directly. But they say between the lines, when they talk about a competition to create greater competitiveness and allow more opportunities for other countries to be more competitive. The fact that the competition is a little undervalued by the big teams, ends up allowing smaller teams to grow and even win trophies. And that increases their prestige, they earn more money and gain opportunities, which were more difficult before.

Although they are in a tough group, with Canda and Belgium being the expected teams that actually pass to the next round, and Morocco and Croatia staying. We'll have to wait and see though, you never know what can happen.
I think Croatia will be able to reach the second place in this group with some ease. Canada even has some difficulty qualifying for the World Cup and I don't see them as capable of being superior to Croatia. So I think that both teams will fight hard to try to be in second place in the group - hoping that Belgium will be first. From this group most chances Belgium and Croatia could be winner and qualifying teams which will be able to go through Canada is not having enough quality to compete with Croatia because they are surely one of the best team in current era and Canada ranked below also having no enough quality which help them to compete with Croatia for me there i no chance for Canada to go through into next round in presence of teams like Belgium, Croatia and Morocco which is also having good players and quality for giving tough time to ranked teams. Canada most chances going to be at fourth in this group with Belgium and Croatia going to knock out stage and morocco is going to be at third spot because they are also better than Canada. If you think that Croatia is an old and wasted team today, then you should have watched their matches in the League of Nations The team is rejuvenated and has a lot of new, great players. In 3 games in a row, Croatia defeated France and Denmark, two national teams that are among the 10 best in the world. At the same time, Croatia celebrated away games against France and Denmark, and these are not national teams that easily lose matches at home. When Croatia played 4 years ago at the World Cup in Russia, many predicted that they would not even make it past the group, and in the end Croatia played in the final, fully deserved. In the League of Nations competition, everyone predicted that Croatia would be last in the group and that France and Denmark would fight for first place, and in the end Croatia beat them all and is first in the group. Now everyone predicts that Croatia will not pass the group at the World Cup and that the first two places will be won by Belgium and Canada. I really don't understand why Croatia, after all these great results and successes lately, is so underestimated. A team with players from Real, Chelsea, Inter, Bayern, Tottenham... is continuously underestimated.

If I have personal choice then surely I am going with Croatia and England which are can into last four with most chances this time France is going to lose into quarterfinal, or they have very few chances for going into last four with their inner politics surely they have few very good players those are currently serving in UEFA's top clubs and having good performance as well.

I couldn't agree with that comment at all and had to share my opinion. I actually didn't have the time or patience to search for the original post so I replied to your post, sorry about that. I agree with your opinion, I'm sorry that maybe it doesn't look like that because of my little mistake I also agree with your opinion about England, but I still think that France is still one of the main favorites of the World Cup, despite the few bad matches recently.

It's clear that there is an unease with this cup, plus just the date change could be enough reason to not want it to be in Qatar, if they did it in July like every other one, that would be fine, but they said heat would be horrible and even in November-December period they would have heat so much that they put in giant air conditioners, which is why I feel like it's going to be a boring one for sure.
I agree with others though, this is one that we could learn from and that is why we could improve, we never had it there, and after seeing why it's a bad idea this year, we could maybe never have it again there, it's just not acceptable conditions for football in this scale.

Gentlemen, we can keep complaining about Qatar (as some may remember also complaining about Brazil and Russia) and just get on with it eventually. Or we can get on with it as we did all the others. Or boycott it altogether, for once?
Right.
Just read that Germany have agreed to pay each player 350,000 euros if they win the World Cup. That led me to wonder about prize money, and I wasn't surprised to learn that FIFA themselves will pay 62 million to the winner -- what did surprise me was that part of that actually goes to the players' clubs.
That's just prize money, mind you, not sponsorship and national FA bonuses.
Anyone got numbers on those? Don't suppose it's a lot to mega clubs but I imagine a smaller club with an international player might get a windfall... thinking of say Freiburg with Ritsu Doan (Japan) or Cremonese with Afena-Gyan (Ghana), who's sure to play every single game.

Not acceptable at all, and i am sure many clubs will be worried about their players participating in the World Cup, and they can only hope they return untouched after the World Cup, because club football will resume from where they stopped after the tournament, though there is a "club insurance and player protection fee/plan" by FIFA , but surely that's not enough to make the clubs happy with the timing of this World Cup. I feel a lot of money was thrown around and there was so much corrupt practices involved to bring this World Cup to Qatar despite all the red flags that are and were evident, no talk can change the fact that it is Qatar that's hosting the world in a few weeks time, football fans like us should just hope we get a show to entertain ourselves.

Every giant country is confident: Brazil, Spain, France, Germany, etc, Argentina isn't the only confident team, and they aren't going to win the tournament with their confidence only. Argentina are contenders for the World Cup, but they are not top favorites in my opinion. There is Messi who is probably playing in his last World cup tournament, and if it is up to his teammates, they will want to win it for him, but that desire alone doesn't win tournaments. I feel this year may be Brazil's turn to win the world cup once again, they have a scary attack, and a very balanced team, and there is Neymar who is very hungry this year, i will be happy if he wins it.

Germany and Netherlands are also favorites, along with Brazil, Argentina, Spain, France, and many others. It's a shame that the Netherlands has never actually won a World Cup, I hope this one is for them.

Germany and Netherlands are also favorites, along with Brazil, Argentina, Spain, France, and many others.
It's a shame that the Netherlands has never actually won a World Cup, I hope this one is for them.
I don't know why everyone is so excited about the Netherlands. They are simply not in the same league as Spain, England, France or Germany. And you can't even compare them to CONMEBOL teams such as Argentina and Brazil. And overall, I don't think that UEFA teams are going to do well, because the tournament is taking place in Asia. I will be really surprised, if Netherlands manage to reach the semi-finals. They are placed in a relatively easier group, along with Qatar, Ecuador and Senegal. But the knockout phase is going to be hard.

But the knockout phase is going to be hard. Qualifying for the next round from the top of Group A will not be too difficult. But each of their opponents in the Round of 16 will be very tough. However, if the Netherlands team is lucky, I think they can reach the quarter-finals. But the Netherlands does not have a strong enough team to qualify for the semi-finals. I am not saying that the Netherlands squad is weak. But if we compare it with England, Brazil, Argentina, and France, then the Netherlands will be far behind. So I don't think the Netherlands will perform very well in the World Cup.

Gentlemen, we can keep complaining about Qatar (as some may remember also complaining about Brazil and Russia) and just get on with it eventually.
What were the complaints of Brazil and Russia at the time they held the World Cup event? I remembered Brazil was about crimes and a bit of poor safety in Rio but all agree it was just minor complaints overall. For Russia, something about LGBT+ feels unsafe in Russia and their treatment of LGBT+. Also, complaints from Ukrainian because of the annex of Crimea. See the trend here? That FIFA doesn't give a shit and will grant the chance to hold the World Cup to the not very upstanding countries because of money. Or we can get on with it as we did all the others. Or boycott it altogether, for once?
Oh, we're going to get on with it but not without some reputation damage to FIFA. Weren't all the shit-talks about FIFA regarding the Qatar World Cup to bust people's bubble about FIFA like some sort of 'nice guy', upholding sportsmanship and international value? That they should stop sucking up to FIFA, being a goddamn bootlick next time someone starts their independent football league. Like The Super League, for example.
