Haven't heard about Pogba in a while. How is he doing out there? If I am not wrong, Pogba was the first star player to get injured before the world cup. The schedule of the world cup is partly to blame. Because of COVID restrictions, they moved the world cup to November. And this overlaps with many of the European leagues. A lot of players get injured during these club matches, because they are fiercely fought. Anyway, everytime some of the main players miss the tournament due to injury. Qatar 2022 won't be any different.

I saw a documentary this week about the Qatar team and also about the country itself. The football team was of course prominent in this. Here all is right as many big teams have enough luxury of quality players which can give them good replacement options even we can say some quality difference will surely happen, but things could be on good level for them, and they will be able to perform good without their key players specially teams like Argentina, Brazil and France which are having enough players and most their players are involved in top class clubs with good experience and skills.

But, fans surely going to miss few players those are involved in good combinations which are going to be useful for the top teams specially like Dybala and Paul Pogba as most chances he is going to miss world cup because things are not favoring him for joining team and giving his best which is also good for the player and his career because this is also important for him to take time instead of doing things in hurry.

Normally we don't have world cup scheduled in November-December. For example, Russia 2018 was held in June-July. I thought that the tournament was moved to November, due to COVID. It never came to my mind that Qatar is located in the middle of desert and weather would be intolerable during June-July. Anyway, no one is complaining about the weather in Qatar right now and therefore I believe that the organizers did a good job.

Thanks for the information about Pogba. It is still not clear whether he will participate in Qatar 2022. But one thing is sure. France would be significantly weakened if he doesn't play.

I just looked it up and the average temperature in Qatar in November is still around 25 degrees celcius and it can go up to 30 degrees… So I still think there will be complaints about the heat and personally I prefer a worldcup in June/July.

If I am not mistaken in the history of the World Cup, there have been at most a couple of exceptions when the hosts of the tournament did not advance from the group to the next round of the competition. Qatar has every chance to add to the list of these exceptions, although given their strong corrupt "magic" with which they generally got the right to host the tournament, you can expect some surprises, haha.

I doubt that anyone will bother to check the pairs of tourists who, although for the sake of formalities, entered the country separately, but walk and sleep together. So if an unmarried couple decide to sleep together, then in 99.99% of the cases there should not be a problem. But the remaining 0.01% is the issue. If they really want to attract tourists, then I don't think that they should stick to these stone age laws.

This is a piece of good information, drinking and other social functions top the reservation of people against FIFA's decision to allow Qatar to hold this year's world cup. But they can't be denied forever as they are part of the world, it is the country and their guests that will try to respect each other by bending some principles if possible. If a drinking tent is set up in a secluded place, it will be nice so far it will not be breaking the law of the country as a Muslim state.

I feel like it's going to be "rules for the citizens and rules for world cup tourists are different" type of situation. Sure there are some things that are illegal for the people there, it's an Islamic dicta regime where you can't drink booze or have intercourse without marriage, but do you really believe that they will not be providing some leeway to people who are tourists?

Qatar, this is the first time and first world cup I am hearing this name. Qatar as a country name will be a strong country. Before a country host a world cup, it must have a strong football team. So there is hope for them, the surprise might not be a small one because as it is they are also training hard to win the world cup. Each and every team of the world cup is to win the cup or match so no team in the world cup is inferior or superior in the prediction stage until the real match has started then we can pick out the weak teams and the strong teams. Actually, I don't expect any surprises in this regard. Qatar will probably leave the tournament without reaching the next round. They have a mediocre squad and will only qualify for the tournament because they are the host country. The Netherlands will likely lead in Qatar's group, with Ecuador and Senegal vying for second place.
