Companies adopting bitcoin as a payment method is a big help to the adaptation of bitcoin and might also bring the price of bitcoin up. Depending on what the company plans to their bitcoin but since they are accepting bitcoin meaning they were also investing in bitcoin. The market price of bitcoin was so volatile so it's so risky to implement it in a business if your not an investor or you don't even believe on bitcoin.

For now the cryptocurrency like bitcoin is not suitable for payment just because of the volatile market price, but as it grows over the years it could easily adapt.

Some of the Christian organizations (especially Exodus Cry) have waged a high pitched campaign against porn websites (Pornhub being the #1 target) for the past many years and finally they seems to have convinced Visa/Master to ban providing payment services to Pornhub. Accepting direct payments in BTC is going to help these sites, but they need to look in to the regulatory restrictions and tax complications which will result from it.

Its too bad PornHub accepting Bitcoin is seen as a reaction to them getting blacklisted by mainstream payment processors. Makes BTC seem like the "sketchy" alternative. That being said, tons of content producing porn companies have been accepting BTC for years. Most of the major studios do.
